Havent forgotten reverse direction. Let me think about that @Beezer215. I still have the original configuration but I would need to move the starting grid over onto the other straight.

There is also kind of a gokart track on the interior of the track. but not much area for pits that I can see.
I looked at Laguna Seca because I have a reverse layout for that. I'm not as savvy with tracks as I am cars. Do I just rename the (old) kn5 make a reverse folder and create a models.ini for it? I assume I have to point some files in the reverse data folder to the new (pre-existing) reverse layout.

I'll fool around with it. Always eager to learn something new.

Did you ever figure this out @Bherm? I'm having a similar problem. Frame took a huge dump. Restart temporarily fixes it. Good frame rate. Do a couple races and it drops down again from mid 130's to 65 fps. I've tried turning on and off Shader's Patch, downgrading, reinstalling Shaders, reinstalling Sol. Ugn. Interestingly when running a race in this state with Shaders off, it is still in the dumps. Please don't tell me I have to do the old integrity check...

Sort of, I was going nuts trying to figure out the issue. Never happened once before upgrading from 0.1.60 to 0.1.62 and even going back to 0.1.60 afterward I was still experiencing the same thing. I then started to think it might be a RAM cache issue or some kind of memory leak in the programming, tried some memory optimization tools, still happened. Finally, I noticed whenever it acts up with the giant FPS drop, the first hint is that the loading time will increase and I noticed when loading the track and cars, it would come to crawl and each car would take much longer to load. In my desperate attempt, I started to think maybe this could be a HDD related issue. Since I have a M.2 SSD, I ran the optimization tool that came with my SSD and so far knock on wood, even on 0.1.62 it hasn't happened again. Tracks and cars that I normally get 80 to 75fps is holding steady, before with this giant bug, I would dip into the 40s FPS range...I am convinced it has something to do with the latest CSP 0.1.62 that broke something even if you go back to the previous version. Hopefully this SSD optimization fix will be good enough for now.

Also, deleted Camtool and all other apps before this fix and didn't make a difference, also no problem with any other racing games out there (F1 2020, AM2, ACC) and double check to make sure it wasn't some malware running in the background sucking up CPU cycles

hello, I've just created a public section on my forum which will be used to download the ACTK mods: To be seen here:

Nice. Good to know. 👍

Wouldn't be able to know. Look in tyres.ini and see if you need them. Delete what you don't. Usually it's all that other tcuve and and wear files that are garbage after someone switches tyres in CM and the ones you highlighted are the right ones.

Cheers.

Ok. :)

Great stuff, man! That's how it's done, sharing back! Yeah I just use that lod tool with simplygon, I currently don't have max installed. I was thinking/hoping that Mamma Bongos might take the work compiled here then add that into an official update, so I didn't make changes to the ui version.

I pointed her towards the various updates and skins and she was thrilled that people like the car enough to want to improve it, and thanks everyone for their efforts. She said that once she puts a car out it's public property and she's happy for anyone to do whatever they want with it as long as no animals are killed in the process.. :lol:

Thanks for these, great to have some variety in the pack.
The roll cage wasn't part of the original skin so isn't applied to the LODs, so your coloured ones unfortunately change to dark grey from LOD 1 to LOD 3 which is quite noticeable from behind - might be better to leave them as the default colour (which needs darkening back to the original grey in the other update posted recently for the same reason).
the rollcage can easily be revert to the default grey by renaming or deleting the rollcage.dds files in my skins. the default texture will then load.

Ah, thanks - I was sure I looked in the skin folders but obviously not close enough. :)
edit: yes, I checked the first two skins and couldn't see anything, but sod's law, the third one has the first rollcage.dds.
D'oh!

Did you grab the updated car (above?)

Abarth 500 by CutataWerkz

Here is another car that goes great with the Twingo. Maybe some people don't have it. It is from CutataWerkz. I haven't changed anything with the car but I did add a CSP extension for it. The F6 cameras could probably use some adjusting and of course it would be awesome to see some official skins. It currently don't have lods, so perhaps @_fixed_a_bit_ could make some? I might try to make some skins for it if I get the time. :cheers:

Islip Speedway

The shorter track ever used by a Grand National event, last race was hosted back on 1971, track was open until mid 80's and demolished later.
Thanks to the magic of sims We can virtually enjoy it.
Important note : if you race against AI, only Quick Race mode works, if you select Weekend, AI cars will go crazy, soon as find out a solution going to update the track.
Track had night light working if you use CSP.
Enjoy it.

Has anyone tried the Oran Park that Legion added/updated to his blog today? Are you seeing radioactive green grass? Or is it just me? :crazy:

https://perendinator.blogspot.com/

I didn't check the grass, my bad. The 3dgrass gets removed by the grassfx config, and as I use CSP I overlooked checking that the original grass still looked OK.

I had assumed too much. Is the grass really too bright? Anyone else?

Try the config attached, you could also adjust the value below, in said config, whilst ingame.

[MATERIAL_ADJUSTMENT_0]
MATERIALS = GRASS
KEY_0 = magicMult
VALUE_0 = 0.68 <<<<<<<<<<<<

I install the same way for all tracks. Your photo has blur effects, but the grass color still looks odd to me. The grass color can be darker in my opinion. Oh well, just my personal taste. I’ll have to skip this version of Oran Park.

My knowledge is still very rudimentary, but adding the [MATERIAL_ADJUSTMENT_0] section shown below to the ext_config.ini file, and also changing to COLOR_FACTOR=0 in the [GRASS_FX_AREA_...] section, darkened the grass for me. Before, the grass was a very odd color according to my personal taste. I hope this will allow you to enjoy the track.

[MATERIAL_ADJUSTMENT_0]
ACTIVE = 1
DESCRIPTION = grass darker
MATERIALS = GRASS, GRASS01
KEY_0 = ksAmbient
VALUE_0 = 0.15
KEY_1 = ksDiffuse
VALUE_1 = 0.15

Thanks for the reply. For me loading time can vary because I've compressed AC. If I've recently used the car or track it loads quickly. If not it can take a few minutes. So I can't correlate loading times with my frame rate weirdness.

Sorry this is kind of long, but I had to share what just happened- this is some psycho b.s..... I also dropped back to 1.60, with no change. So I restart my computer and like I suspected, frame rate is back to normal again. I do two short races, one at Mugello, and then Singapore. I do a third at Singapore again, and my frame rate takes a dump. Ok, just like before.

Now I had just reworked the ai at Singapore, and in the race one of the cars got knocked out in first corner. Hmm weird, I tested this out for hours with the same cars (RSS Formula Hybrid 2019), and this never happened once. Crap. So now I'm thinking I need to update the ai- maybe work on some ai hints to help. I run more races with hints tweaks. Damn, I'm not getting anywhere. Frame rate is the same, around 50 to 60fps. Oh well. I'm out of ideas, but I need to fix the ai.

I keep making more tweaks and race starts. These are 2 to 3 lap races because that's where most problems happen. Now cars are hitting each other in other corners. The "tweak list" is growing. I get frustrated, and am about to quit. So I pull the ai_hints file back out as it doesn't seem like I'm getting anywhere, and restart the race. Oh wow, now the cars made it through first corner clean, and finish a 3 lap race, clean. Weird. I also notice that my frame rate got a little better. Restart. Another clean race. Frame rate goes up again. Restart again, now frame rate is back up around 115-130fps with 20 cars and no race incidents. Whaaat? I then go back to Mugello, and do a short race and frame is good again.

What's going on? Computer has a mind of it's own? AC gods laughing at me? No idea. Now I'm scared to update to 1.62 again.

Are you doing the reverse laguna seca for the kunos tracks?

Usually when doing forward and reverse you keep the common track elements as the main track KN5
Then just the unique elememts such as pit stalls, starting grids and maybe cones and barriers in separate KN5 files -
One for forward and one for reverse.

Then yes, you create models.ini files - one for forward, one for reverse.- put in appropriate kn5 names in each models file. Sometimes there are more configurations than just
forward and reverse, and each would get its own models.ini file. Pretty slick how all these work.

The kunos reverse layouts version .2 should be all set for you, just drop them in the correct main folders

i did the Kunos Spa reverse and is pretty cool going the other way.

hi guys, is anyone willing to share the Honda NSX GT500 Concept 2016 by AssettoGarage with me? i would appreciate that. Thank you. the only source i found is the RTM page that gathering costs of €16.

Here.

Make these changes. The numbers are only an example, You must change accordingly with the car values.

Dont think i am doing it right as it didn't work. I see some people saying to dot he same in the ai.in file but that didnt work. You mind adjusting the file and sending it here? Please.

Anybody who wants to try this new version of Bahrain, converted from rf2, be quick. I gather will be quickly removed from RD, as it is a conversion and not scratch made mod:

A lot of high quality conversions coming from rf2 lately. Hopefully somebody is working on Sebring or Hockenheim or LeMans. Wait, Hockenheim is in AMS.

i just got the Bahrain track thanks for the info.

Hi @ales100i I thought there were good Sebring and lemans tracks for AC? Maybe I am thinking of RF2 which I also have. Too many tracks to remember what I actually do have for AC.

take care.

I saw there is a new option to cache AI grid and payloads in CSP (files are named .bin in ai folder)
Perhaps your issue is related to that ? Check with and without to see if it's related.

Did you try out the new CSP extension for DXGI flip model etc? Enabling that causes pretty much the same issue on my machine. Without spending some time digging for the exact issue and fix, I have to disable the extension, then restart computer to get my performance back. I am leaving this off for now, I think it didn't play nicely with my machine when it was inside the other menu either.

Also this issue has been caused for me in the past by either Sol, or WeatherFX in general, even if I cleanly reinstalled Sol or deactivated entirely CSP. Same also where I have restarted the computer as last ditch effort and the framerate comes back for a race or two then disappears again.
-Try going to WeatherFX settings in CM and switching weather script to one you are not using eg. from 'Sol' to 'Sol 1.5.x' or 'Default Implementation'. Load a session, quit and switch it back to 'Sol' (or whatever one you wish it to be on). This fixes it for me.

If not, I wish you luck in finding a solution because things like this just make me stop playing the game until I have the time for troubleshooting and that sucks because life is very busy at the moment.

2019 Nordschleife well-beiing package

- added 2019 brandings around the track (the Hyundai ads on start/finish look **** due to Kunos bad texture assets)
- darkened the grass and vegetation
- removed AC scrittles from the track
- added crowd sounds and some techno music around the whole track (hear it at Hatzenbach, Brünnchen, Schwalbenschwanz, Pflanzgarten & Ferris Wheel)
- added campfires and torches

Extract the .rar into your ks_nordschleife folder. Works also with ks_nurburgring.

Thanks to @B_Isak who brought this to my attention! It could not be done without your help and initiative! Many thanks to @Fuzo for his soundbank files I have used here.

To get the campfires and smoke to work you need to have "new smoke" in particles fx enabled! Works only with CSP!

I hope many of you will follow and edit the sterileness out of the tracks!

Sure.

Open Suzuki Swift 'data' folder.
Open 'ai.ini' file

Put these 2 lines, where you have yours. Or just modify the 7300 value, or only the 3. It's late. :crazy:

UP=7300
