This car looked so much better after I few tweaks I decided I might as well share it.

Another iconic car, the Mazda RX-7 Veilside Fortune by AssettoGarage found on Assettoland

- Revised almost all shaders
- Added AO
- Paintable in CM Paintshop, recommended to keep the black part black because the hood isn't properly UV mapped. Also don't paint the leather.
- Added Japanese plates on the rear bumper
- Removed the turnsignals turning on when you turn the lights on. I see a lot of mods have this but where I live it's not normal and imo it looks better with them off but I'd love to hear what you guys think about this.
- Remade the paints

Have fun, Mike

So I just got my first track conversion working in-game (yay me) from GTR2 (imola), using only 3dsimed. Now I might want to tackle some tracks I did previously, but dont want to do something already around. I was thinking of Sardian Heights from rF (use my own gtr2 version).
@Teddie Unless... its been released?

Better idea... re-rip/re-source all of Gilles tracks, release for free ;)

Hi RMi. I started Sardian Heights a long time ago. Got pretty far with it, but lost steam when setting up the additional layout (long?) can't remember. Please go for it if you can. I don't think I'll be going back to that one.

Guys, I'm trying to remember who our resident track-camera gurus are. Can I ask that someone set up TV cams for my Tarlac Circuit Hill? I'm going to be doing some updates to the track and I'd love to include some camma-cam-cams.

Hi,
Rare Nissan, out of the Nissan Motorsport workshops, here is the Nismo 400R.
Excellent mod from Gentle Mind Performance, many thanks

About the rev counter and the red line at 9000rpm, here is a little video that shows the reality, the torque curve collapses beyond 7300rpm (see automobile-catalog / Horsepower / Torque-curve) maximum power is around 6500rpm. Any increase beyond 7300rpm causes the power to drop despite the two turbos.

On another note.

Would be great having this ambient with this Hillclimb - for me is more an A to B time attack road - at Chateau Impney.
One of the 'races' I usually see on TV too. In fact, I'm writing this after watching some action there on TV.
It is look a like Goodwood, but at Impney, only vintage cars race, if I am not wrong. Good run for my endless vintage cars.

Thanks so much for these!

I know your name is Mike but every time I see your closing line, I like to think that you're just making these for a dude named Mike and telling him to have fun.

Why dont you bump up the ROAD friction value in the SURFACES file in the data folder little by little and see what feels right for the car mod you are using. That is what I do all the time.

It's set to 1.1, bumping it DOWN to 0.98 makes it feel right. I have no idea how it works but at 1.1 it's like ice!

Official RF2 tracks could be converted right? It would be awesome if their Formula E tracks gets converted, especially their version of Hong Kong

sorry but someone has already created with the content manager, a grid preset, for the rss 2020
formula hybrid, with the right strength values linked to each single skin?

example
mercedes force 100
rebull force 95
renault 85
ferrari 60

and has the same thing already been done for the 1991 asr formula cars?

Anyone here brave enough to convert the map of True Crime New York?
As the name suggests it's gonna be NY, but the catch is, it's a 1:1 scale Manhattan map.

Even if not the whole map (although that'd be amazing) having the FDR drive and the whole highway loop around Manhattan would be pretty cool.

Pretty sure the model is around somewhere on the internet, but ripping the map should do the work too.

Thanks for the info. It is interesting that 1.1 would not give you more grip. For me the larger the numbers the better the grip I get.

Yeah , I know, not sure why but some tracks feel like ice as you say where other tracks with using same friction settings feel great. I do F1 cars and I go to extreme ROAD friction settings by going to 1.30. That is just my personal preference, but this would surely be too high for majority of drivers with their car mods.

As you say, it is how you want the car feel with your wheel controller or game controller and driving techniques. Everyone has their own driving style and how you want the track to feel. I usually dont play with car setups and go with defaults most the time other than gearing.

Good luck guys in getting the track feel right for you.

Dave

I produced a working Sardian track from source rip--> to--> drive in about an hour, and I am very inexperienced doing AC tracks.
driveable w/1 pit and nothing else. (pit/track is 180deg off but fully driveable)

@Teddie Your version of Sardian would be great to let others finish it.

What I can do is basic extraction and etc to get tracks to a working stage.
Honestly, "some other guy"s tracks... are super basic rips with hardly any work, thus my idea that I could produce "fresh mesh" of rips that others charge for, and eliminate the (need of these) "taboo" tracks. I have most games to grab the content from, basic finishing would be AI, Pits and details.

does this make sense at all?

Thanks for your work, Mike!

Here are some LODs for these three, with a slight shader and texture adjustment for the dash of the 400r
