Dear friend, tell me please one reason if Wussel asked me for link why should i not share ??? But i"m not looking for mods all over the net and share it like Mascott said under the some password locked files like it"s mine. If i do i would ask for it like you can see in pic. So you don"t need to have high IQ to understand if i didn"t share the link there is some reason. Cheers . View attachment 783167
his group rejected me because my fb acc looks pretty fake.( I just made one to join groups like these, dont have a real one). So thanks to Apexxer for sharing.
You guys share other scratch made mods here too (URD, RSS, VRC). Just because some random shares his mods for free doesnt mean I can`t post them somewhere else, aspecially when giving credits. In my opinion I can share everything as long as I give credits. (This is actually a real law here in germany).
I dont care who you are if you give me something for free I can do whatever I want with it. If someone makes a cake and gives it to me, am I wrong to share it with others or even put whipped cream on top of it(editing it)?

You all should keep your heads down because almost everyone of you is part of a russian forum which is just about sharing stuff other people made. So dont speak of treating others "fair" by dont giving the direct DL link of something that is free anyways lol

Dont get me wrong I appreciate all of you guys sharing and talking here about my favorite hobby but I dont get the reasoning behind your statements. I am open for criticism:dopey:

An odd way thinking like that, seriously. Creating a fake account just to join fb groups is entirely your own fault.
Knowing the groups rules and terms regarding only valid accounts are allowed. And what Apexxer did will just restrict rules even further, and great modders like Beto and others who makes these mods entirely for free is likely to stop because of that.
Guys like you with such an attitude like that is the reason why modders quit and the AC community sucks.

So how am I supposed to get the mods then?
How is that my fault that I dont have a fb acc?
How am I the reason this community sucks when I share free mods and give credit?
Why am I not allowed to change something that isnt copyrighted?
Why cant I share things that are free anyways(cake example)?
You just pick the things you can counter (kinda) and ignore all the other points I made.

So how am I supposed to get the mods then? Well, then don't. I don't care really.
How is that my fault that I dont have a fb acc? No, no one is forcing you to have an fb account.
How am I the reason this community sucks when I share free mods and give credit? Groups have their rules, respect them.
Why am I not allowed to change something that isnt copyrighted? Same comment as above.
Why cant I share things that are free anyways(cake example)? Group rules of course.
You just pick the things you can counter (kinda) and ignore all the other points I made. Payware mods is rarely made from scratch, poorly made and especially people like RTM and SimDream steals/rip and tagging a price on them, deserves to be shared for free.

Agree 100 %

Are you talking about some guys from nowhere who claimed recently « Give me a link ! » or asking for a software like CM for free and ask again « Is Steam necessary !? » !?
I didn’t told him « Did I understood that you got AC for free too !!!??? » because I prefer Cosmos to Chaos ! ^^

By the way, the first rule is... buying AC !

I know which guy you are talking about ! ;-)

Cheers ! ;-)

Hi people. I want to say several things.

First, yes, I use Turn10 or AC cars to create my mods. That's is clear. I use the content of other games and I don't sell them because of that. I think that If you convert a car from other game you can't sell it. This should be punishable imo.

But the respect of the work I done is part of the "deal".
If you take a look on my cars, you will see that many of them are not the original models. You can see the 3d work done over them. Focus pack or Cayman for example, have more than a thousand hours to remake the body parts and create new elements. You don't have these models in those games. They are highly modiffied. I make modiffications for ALL the cars, some more, others less. So... this is MY WORK. Even if they were a "simple" conversion, it's my work and my time, making the visuals, textures, physics, etc. And I can say that is MUCH time. I make the cars for people to enjoy, and I just expect a little consideration. Could you respect that?

Please, remove the links. And obiously don't share any modifications of my cars. You allways can make mods by yourself if you don't like them, and in your own way. But not using the hard work I make. I think this is BASIC part of the game.

Asking for permision is the way to share the cars for all these people who don't have FB. And if you have FB you can join the group. We don't reject anybody. Just, if one guy is sharing the cars in other sites we ask him to delete them, and if doesn't, we quick him (until now we have only kicked off one guy). Just because of the lack of respect.

I don't want editions of my cars made by other guys. Make your own mods. Hope you all can understand that.

If someone want to tell me something, do it.

Regards

Especially for those people who joined almost yesterday and are actually giving up some new rules that do not make sense....

The problem is hurting them due to the rule of not accepting newly created accounts, which I can see problematic for those genuine people who wants to join. The reason I know was a guy who leaked mods, got caught and banned from most groups. But soon after that created a new account using a fake name, got accepted and the whole thing started all over again.

But how do you justify modyfing other peoples work ( Kunos, Turn10) and than forbidding others to modify your modification?

and how do you justify being in a russian forum that is all about sharing pirated and scratchmade content? Is that okay because the orignial links werent posted in a "group"?
I am not going to say anything about this topic anymore but I appreciate your opinion and made my mind up concerning it.

Is RTM scratchmade? Is SimDream scratchmade? They only mods I been pleased purchasing was RSS mods which is top notch quality and you get value for your money and updates for them. Lots of groups doesn't accept links to payware mods, because especially they know RTM has spies and gets threats from Alexey Dmitriev.

They sell their work. They get benefits from their work. I don't. Anyway, if Turn10 tell me something I will delete all the links. And I won't make more mods using their work. That is fair. Make the same.
And I say again, If you (or other guys) want to do mods, make the mods by yourself. Is just that.
When I get a Turn10 model I get a model which I have to addpat for other game, making visual works, like remapping the car parts, adding materials and textures, creating new ones, fixing and improving the model, making new body or interior for the model, making physics, many test, etc. If you take advantage of all this work you DON'T MAKE ANITHING. And I tell you again, if I say you "don't modiffy or share the car without permission" if you are a decent guy, you don't do it. AGAIN, If TURN10 tells me, "you can't use our models to make your versions" I won't do it. Easy.

But how do you justify modyfing other peoples work ( Kunos, Turn10) and than forbidding others to modify your modification?

Well, because he didn't sell them.
The guy's literally working for you, for free.

Is it that hard follow a simple, small rule to respect his work?
At the end, it all comes down to having some good sense.

Those are my 2 cents on this discussion. Cheers!

Other point for respect my work is this.

-Porsche Cayman Tuned. Fictional. My idea. Unique. No other like this. Build over the Kunos' Cayman GT4.
-Focus tuned versions and Race car. I make all using the stock version of this Focus MKII from Forza 4. My designs also.
-C63 is a less tuned version, but also is personal tuned design.
-Vipers: I use the Viper GTS from Forza 4, and some interior panles from FH3. I made all the versions making by myself the diferent parts like hoods, aero kits, etc.

If you take a mod and you edit it it's not yours. But If you take one of MY MODS, is even worse. Because they are, at least many of them, personal designs.

Regards

First off I want to thank Beto for the work he does for free. You create great mods and this is what is so great about AC.

As for the legality I think (at least in the US) it is fairly clear and spelled out in the license agreement in of the respective games. While I do not agree with it I think throwing around what is ok and not ok is little more than our opinions. Ultimately if the license holders have issue with what Beto is doing (And I hope his work stays under the radar and continues) it is up to them to deal with it.

I think the key is to show respect to each other. Beto is doing a lot of hard work and asks very little. Can we not respect that?

I’m really interested in sociology and I learnt this.
When there is a huge disaster as earthquake, people has a great and true solidarity for each other BUT, when a single one decides to betray the common rules of solidarity (by ambition, by money and many sorts of things), the solidarity breaks up and conflict appears.

Cheers Gentlemen ! ;-)

I know you know who I am talking about, but it's sad that these people do not recognize their own description. I'm glad Beto also got involved in the discussion. It is not possible to compare his work with so-called moderators who play 15 minutes in CM and call it an update. I do not want to talk more about this topic because this is the place where friendships are made and people support each other. This is certainly not the place to prostitute the abundance of modes gathered on the Internet.

Just different opinions. I only got involved because I found it unfair that everyone was hating on Apexxer even though he had a good intention. I was really surprised by the reaction here because like I said its not like we usally respect the "rules" of modmakers here:lol: (60$)
@Beto FR : Dont get me wrong your mods are awesome keep it up and dont get frustrated because of people like me.:D

It may be wrong to call it their own but its better than nothing. Apexxer, Velo I think he is called and the ACland team do a great job by fixing old cars and giving them some love. Just because you could possibly do it yourself doenst mean that their work isnt worth anything. For example I COULD make lunch myself but I let others do it.
Hope everyone is cool now and doesnt hate me because I said my opinion.:boggled:

AssettoLand at least asks for permissions first, neither Apexxer or Velo do. The problem with this is also there will thousands of versions of these mods like the Ford Riley Daytona Prototype and the Dodge Demon. If modders like Beto don't want modifications, respect that or make your own converted mods instead.

I don’t hate anyone, trust me. ;-)
I just dislike « people from nowhere » which I can’t feel a real passion for mechanics and have no respect for some historical sides, by car or by mood.

By the way, this debate, which seems hard and gentle as the same time is always constructive... for a common passion. ;-)

I don't like the idea of modify mods from other people like Paul Williams or Peter Utech, or many others do. They are friends and I said this to them several times. BUT, I can understand why someone edit an old mod which doesn't have updates or has problems. The best way would be to ask for permission anyway, but well...
If AC continues in 5 years, and I'm dissapeared, be sure I would give tacit consent to upgrade my cars. That's because if I'm missing of the scene is because I wanted to leave this (It's very hard if you spend all the time that I use to do this).
But, if I'm here, my mods are good or very good, they are new, and I put updates, why to edit them? If you have suggestions allways can tell me. I accept that withou problem. Allways can do better. If you want to make little changes to some details for your use, do it, but don't share. And, if you want to make any changes for an specific reason (an online champisonsip or something), you can ask for permission. And if it has sense probably I will let you modiffy the car (The focus Time Attack has been modified to one championship to comply with the rules for example).

That's all. Please @Appexer, delete those links.
You guys can put here original links here if you want. My links. But I invite you to join the FB group because I make regular updates for the cars.
