Nope, not abandoned, but @Xedrox wasn´t online for a longer time now. :(
So, I´m still waiting for his latest updates... :)
Hope, he´s well so far. Anybody heard something about him?

Here 2 screenshots, how it looks right now on my side:

I'm glad to hear that it's not abandoned. I hope there will be some optimizations as well, as I suffer heavy FPS drops while running in certain sections of the track.

Does your wheel work with vanilla launcher AC?

Also do you have multiple controller profiles saved in CM by any chance? I have similar problems sometimes and it seems to sort itself out if i reload a saved profile (even the same one that appears already loaded).

Final suggestion is go to: CM, Settings, Content Manager, Drive, and then on the page to the right under the "AC-related events" heading. Try checking the option "Automatically check and fix controllers before the race."

Good luck
Thanks! I see this...

Last hours fix eheh

@JOCA has kindly reported that the front bumper was too "straight" at the bottom. Luckly this was a quick fix so here it is :)

Changelog;
-fix tree shade
-brightened the overall shader
-add RainFX
-new VAO patch
-removed PerPixel MultiMap with Emissive map
-Other minor fixes

I've fixed an ePrix track that is different from the one I posted yesterday, so I'd like to ask everyone for help again.
Please help if you can improve AI, camera, config and all other items! (Especially the AI in Rome ePrix is terrible ...)
Please contact me if you are trying to fix or improve Mexico and santiago ePrix posted yesterday.
The final update will be uploaded later in Race Department.
Thank you.

The short answer to your question is YES :D, it works for all cars in the pack.

(copy the files from the addon-patch to every car's folder and only change name of kn5 in ext_config.ini accordingly to your car)
...

just uploaded the addon :)

...
SOME TIME LATER :)
out of curiosity i have run the bmw on old csp 0.1.65 and i'm amazed with the ... fabulous green-cyan rain visuals :D ( 0.1.67 has no issues )

abc2.jpg

So i checked and the culprit is in original texture for external_glass :D (i didnt expect glass texture with a tint, but it looks like someone wanted to have tinted glass outside).

... AND A BIT MORE TIME LATER (including a lot, and a lot :D of testing for you ...)

FIXED (CSP 0.1.65):

CSP 0.1.65 users please redownload updated patch from the original link for your sheer pleasure. Enjoy ! :)
Thanks! I'll test it shortly.
Be a little careful when you edit old posts to contain new information (or links) - this thread moves so fast the edits/updates can easily be missed (like I did).
You might be better writing a new post that'll go to the top of the pile, especially if there's a long delay between the original post and the edit, like four hours in this case. ;)
We don't want to miss any of these fantastic updates... :)

Don't work again!

@hellothankyou I just tested the wipers on the BMW M5 (E34) Black - Alpha N using your kn5 renaming method and am happy to report that it works!
Not only that but the wipers look incredible - their range of motion is perfect, the speed is perfect, the wipetheglassability is perfect.. All perfect!
An excellent car just got even better.
Many, many thanks. Top job indeed!

I echo this. The wipers are the best I’ve seen for looks and functionality. Brilliant!

I do find RainFx quIte taxing on frame rate even with this car, but it’s running at near 80fps on the Rift S with a good amount of rain, so all good. I imagine track choice also makes a difference. I’ve only tried Goodwood, my usual test track and the only one I know very well in real life.

Here we go AGAIN!!!! Started from F355 Challenge by @Shokeus recreating objects solving material issue (Thanks a lots @hellothankyou user) if something goes bad about them kseditor make a bad import and you have also wipers floating!

Who wins between "F355 Challenge by @Shokeus" and "Gemballa by @Masscott"

and these damned WIPERS?!?!?!? LOOOL

Pivot ready, ready to animate!

Pivot_ready.png

@Shokeus you will need also to remove Rubber parts that are fixed to this object "fer_355berlinetta_94_cockpit_interior_rubber___414_vertices_530" inside Cockpit

Somebody please remind me.. where are Guerilla Mods cars now downloadable from?
I'm guessing there's been a recent update based on the number of new skins appearing on RD?

You can find them on their Facebook page. Which is sadly a private group which means you need a facebook account to get them.

Hi to everyone! I would only like to know some reports about wipers on Porsche Carrera CUP by @Shokeus. If they are not good I'll stop to do them.
A lots of people liked that car me too or I wouldn't do them. So it's strange there are no reports.

Cheers
Tony

Hi, sorry - forgot to comment with this thread moving so fast.
The action is great and the wiping generally good but a big patch of rain doesn't get wiped right in front of the driver's face, which kind of blocks the view.
I'm guessing the wiper blade leaves the glass at this point maybe?

@Masscot @TimLotus

Thanks guys for feedback and your kind words!
What can i say? (it's almost like an "Oscar" speech to me :D LOL)
Okay, where's the mike? :D (a microphone)) So listen, ... Thank you very much!
- I like you like it and everything works as intended :)!!! Enjoy! Yeaa!

It's also quite a satisfaction to me to make such addon that quickly enables rainfx effects for all cars in the pack, with only the one prepped patch.. :)

Cheers!

Enjoy ;)

The last 3 skins to make was quite simple
I will try to do all the championship skins, for the moment I am focusing on the Coppa Shell

To do:
1) Skin N.103
2) Update the Skin N.120 (if I can find the right font)
3) Skin N.109
4) A lot of other skin ^^

P.S. Contact me in private message if you want to help me finish all this

If you have spectate a championship race and have good quality photos of the cars that would help me a lot.

It seems that I cannot notice that issue but I'm not on VR here only a standard monitor u2410 from DELL. Anyway I've adjusted animation. Please test and report.
Make a backup of your previous anim so you can check if it's better or worst. (Remove .txt)

[Some backside story btw]

Ilya aka x4fab (cheers!) changed the shader (the program) for that effect after CSP 1.65 release, to a less-forgiving one, so you can observe such leftovers on quite a few cars when using csp 1.66.2 & 1.67.1 .

Fix requires wipers to be redone [more or less work - it depends] or to use a patch on a CSP :) [it's like patching a patch :D] to enable 1.65-style wipers "logic" in 1.67.1.

After applying the patch on the 1.67 , the windshield looks and behaves like in 1.65, but you preserve the rain physics and all other new features in 1.67. - kinda compromise on best of the two worlds.

[Of course i cannot upload that patch for patching CSP rain, because rain previews are $$$ feature on the patreon. (But they could have been released free now, if only ... :/ )]

... Or you need wipers redone as i mentioned earlier(in the longer perspective that is the only correct fix, not a workaround)

I can say only that do Wipers animation is a pain in th @ss but I know that you know. A lots of stock wipers asset glued with plastic and rubber parts are alots curved I don't know if creating also a frame and rubber objects bending during animation can help about "wiping". But I doubt that other sim/gaming use also object deformation for cleaning..... About Porsche carrera I've reduced to 1mm the distance between rubber and glass but anyway it's shape is like an half moon.
