Not to take anything away from Shokeus' fantastic Porsche 964 Carrera Cup (a sweet, sweet handling mod), I found myself hopping mad over the usual 'cup car' limitation: slowed to a crawl by wildly inappropriate (and fixed) gearbox ratios, which I have no doubt Shokeus faithfully copied from a Porsche spec sheet. But why gear a race car for a theoretical 212 mph when the most it's capable of is barely 140 mph? So I unabashedly stole the geartrain from the 2018 Porsche 911 RSR GT3, lock, stock and two smoking auspuffs. Now I've got one more gear, and they're all changeable, transforming a tabby cat into a Siberian tiger. Nothing else is changed, so I can swap the original .acd back in for online racing. To reap these benefits, just delete the .txt extension below.

Edit: If Shokeus objects (as well he might) I will send this tweak into orbit to mate with Elon Musk's spaceship Tesla and you'll hear no more from me.

I did find it odd that you described it as and engine start sound as there is no such sound in AC. I thought maybe the gear grind sound was getting triggered.

Now that you know the culprit you can workaround the cause. In engine.ini raise the minimum RPM to something that your APP is happy with.
And if you're going to drive at anywhere except Brooklands than maybe 'cheat' a little and in brake.ini give the car some front brakes!
Pro Tip to avoid the compression locking I throw the clutch when braking.
Oh, but there is. :D
And my hunch was right: when I disable it, the issue is gone.

I can't remember where I got it from but it's in assettocorsa > apps > python:

If you want to try, I uploaded the folder:

Thanks for the brake tip. That is indeed needed for tracks with some corners...

This might be a bit controversial but eh doing a side project alongside the 996 GT2 what it is it you might ask? well.... something a bit different.
80s Car tuners are notorious for their craziness both with styling and performance Koenig/Gemballa/1000 SEL Mercs/Alpina ect... So i thought of doing one of these finding parts to make them crazy was a bit hard. Anyway here it is a tuned Countach still trying to figure out what name to give it along side making a backstory to the company that tuned/created this thing. still its not finished and i will probably change its design add more stuff to it as i work on it.

Some interior changes too to give off that crazy 80S look the front dash's stitching has been changed to an expensive snake skin stitching and the other parts of the interior have been changed into classy wooden look.

The car still needs work like the custom parts needing AO maybe even doing custom stickers for the car and placing them on the windshield and on the body. and giving the car a Performance boost planning it to achieve 750+ bhp with the added turbos and so on.
From where i got an idea to make this thing or an abomination.

its makes me think I had tried to do Lamborghini Huratach a long time ago but I never finished it because too complicated for me the 3d ...

Lamborghini Huratach (mod not finish) :

Some wiseacre has released a fixed version of my 917 k '71.

Those who happen to have my version, here is the fix for a bug that said modista was too recalcitrant to let me know about.

There was a Mother Grabbing typo in the lods.ini file!

For 'FILE=porsche_917k_71_TWO_FLAPS.kn5' pls replace with 'FILE=porsche_917k_71.kn5'

3,2,1 here comes his posse....

This is the way to go if you want to keep the WindscreenFX on

https://www.nutrimatic.cc/assetto-corsa/reducing-or-changing-windscreen-dirt/

Basically you open the car in the Content Manager Showroom and click through it until the inside of the windscreen is selected. It might take a few clicks to correctly select the inside of the windscreen, as Content Manager will cycle through the various meshes under the pointer. Then click on the three dots next to where it says “Material” on the control palette to open the Material Properties window and change the values

ksAmbient to 0.40
and
ksDiffuse to 0.20

Save, exit CM showroom and you are ready to test it.

Works all the time except the encrypted cars like Guerilla mod cars where you cannot bring up the material menu
Excellent tip!
Thank you. I had been looking for a way to improve this.

Hey all!

I was wondering if anyone knew of any dyno's for the Scirocco R? I usually check out this website for all the info: https://www.automobile-catalog.com/ but they haven't uploaded info on the Scirocco R 2009 version :(
I am looking for any and all info for this model so I can try to make it close to reality at least by values!
Thanks in advance! Btw if anyone feels like helping me out on the data part that would be great since I have more experience making things look nice

Here are some WIP shots, it's starting to look like something! (things on midconsole are reflections)

Awesome, it's looking great ! <3

For the curves you can look for a MK VI Golf R or an S3 8P dyno sheet, they have the same engine. Just a small precision, the dyno sheet RMI shared is from a US Spec Golf R, they don't have the Scirocco, the Scirocco R has 265 PS in Euro Specs.

Imola 1995-2006 (2001) v0.devbeta2

Welcome to the development teaser of Imola, layout representing the years 1995-2006 with a focus on recreating the 2001 F1 race held at the famous circuit. This is not a formal release of any kind, please do not fork this version or otherwise distribute outside GTP.
The final version will be worth waiting.

View attachment 969890 View attachment 969891 View attachment 969892 View attachment 969893

I am releasing this dev beta to GTP for others to 1. enjoy a sneak peek, 2. help out making this a great track
Sometimes you need new eyes on a project, and mine are cooked.

The biggest consideration is historic accuracy, the walls and TSO as seen in game are now 98% accurate from raceday and incar videos from 2001
Thus, do not make any changes to disrupt the existing look of walls and fences except to fix flicker issues. Cranes are nearly perfectly placed now.

Read the earlier post about some issues, thus WALLS are a priority to sort out.

- 26 pit/start
- TV cam
- AI (bugged start but ok)
- surfaces and cut/anti-cheats working
- double obs removed except for wall obs (hopefully)
- 10 skins (new rough wip 2001 skin, others derived from source track variations)
- lights/rain/grass

GTP tasks to do:
1. help sort the walls, PM me for details
2. some texture normals/specular to be assigned
3. better AI, more cams (historic TV, spectator, trackside)
4. develop skins fully for 2001, add other historic entries, remove some "branding"
5. fix replay flickering
6. more...

Prefer fixes over patching via ext_config, please PM for questions or fixes, please do not fill the forum with them.
(Please do fill the forum with screenshots of the track!)

Oh my god, what a perfectly understanding member of our community! His request not to litter the forum with photos of track improvements, deserves special praise, thanks! We have so much garbage, but no one cares about it, the main thing is to seem an active user and earn a medal. Thanks again!

Hi everyone, is it possible to perform a full conversion with blender (FM4 model) if yes how can I have the material/objects separation by colour like 3DSMax ?
This is my very first conversion if someone have some advice or a tutorial link it'll be awesome

Anyone knows how to separate objects in Blender please ?

You are quick to jump, and apply your opinion (wrongly), which is very interesting psychology in your words... the purpose of it?

Sorry friend... no, you are also incorrect.
I asked not to litter forum with updates, to send via PM.
I asked to YES is OK to show screenshots.

I don't need anyone's praise, especially yours.

enjoy your weekend

How you getting driver no helmet?
First thing first, make sure you have a driver model without helmet in content\driver
You can double click any kn5 file in there and check.
Secondly, unpack the data file of the car of your choice (rename or delete data.asd in the car's root folder afterwards). Look for driver3d.ini inside the newly created "data" folder and change this line:

[MODEL]
NAME=driver_80
POSITION=0,0,0

with the driver model of your choice (you can find a few in RaceDepartment, btw).
Now, at the bottom of driver3d.ini, you'll see the objects the game makes translucent in 1st person camera:

[HIDE_OBJECT_0]
NAME=DRIVER:GEO_Driver_FACE

[HIDE_OBJECT_1]
NAME=DRIVER:HELMET

You can try with those values, google the correct "[HIDE_OBJECT] names" implementation for a specific driver model, or ask here.

Those three things should get you going.

Yes! I'm looking forward to this track! I love the collaborative approach that you're taking with this development. We have so many talented members here that can help. (I'm not one of them ) I also appreciate the request to conduct development updates in PM in order to have organized updates for this track.

Unnecessary sarcasm. RMi has recognized the talent in this community and is encouraging teamwork, while at the same time he is mindful to not clutter this thread with so many development updates.
