sorry but it would be easier to share the file in the right format directly, wouldn't it? there I do not understand anything when I translate into French

Yes it would, but i am not at my computer tonight.

You can unpack data.acd from original release and then copy only my "digital_instruments.ini" file over it.

Voila!

can you by any chance make me a 2001 CLK F1 Safety Car Livery for the DTM CLM on assettoland?

Released! Volkswagen Scirocco R 2011 v1.0
Converted by me and physics by @JakubP

The model is a Forza Motorsport 4 model with some tweaks to make it look pretty good imo.
- AO on body and rims and VAO interior
- New front seats
- Bigger steeringwheel
- Better gauge textures
- 3d vw logo on rims instead of logo in texture
- Plates, car color, wheel color, seat color in cm paintshop

This is my first actual mod so please let me now what you think and report any bugs you find and I'll try to update it.

If you want to update/have updates for the mod please pm me.
If you want to make a custom/tuned version go ahead just keep in my credits and send me the mod! Would love to see some custom Scirocco's :)

Looks awesome! Can't wait to drive it, just launch it to take a look in game, notice tail lights don't light up under braking, only the center brake light lights up and no reverse lights.

Any help please for VR question on steering scales and blender.

How can I get the steering wheel to look round, and retain that look when turning on axis. here are the two images.
If i scale it equal, it looks like an egg but stays the same shape when I turn. If i scale only X and Z equal and leave Y at 1, it looks correct, but when I turn it it does this. I want it to look round and stay round. Do I need to scale and apply scale in blender? What is the trick to get it to look round and stay round in VR.

Great Job, Only would like to make the digital speedometer a bit bigger, as it is very hard to read the speed from the steer wheel distance for me. As example in this photo.

A Roborace Devbot 2.0 mod car came up on RD. Certainly an interesting mod and series. The cars look like they came from a cover car of a video game. What are your guys' thoughts on AI racing in the future?
(Havent tried the mod yet, seems like an interesting find) ((Yes they're the guys who drove an AI to a wall, but different car)

Overall, excellent mod, especially the look of it. However, I would like a semi-slick tire option, it seems to have more over steer than I'd expect from a front-wheel drive car, and the tires seem to break loose, slip, and spin a little too easily. Maybe it's the street tires, maybe the physics need some tweaking.

Higher CoG - Lower CoG = CoG difference

(CoG difference * CG_LOCATION) + Lower Cog = Actual CoG height

caveat being I only have Highschool Maths and Python is a type of snake. (Fracking spell check is trying to tell me I have spelt Maths wrong!)

(CG_LOCATION * WHEELBASE) = Cog forward of rear axle

CoG x, y, z where z is up and y forward. 0, Cog forward of rear axle, Actual CoG height[\s]

Rethinking it my equation is just rubbish. CoG x, y, z where z is up and y is forward
x = 0
y = CG_LOCATION, which is relative to the wheelbase/axle centres.
z = (fCoG + rCoG) / 2

That is the real CoG is just the average of the two defined CoGs.

... question got lost in the thread yesterday so I'll ask again : which camera is the base one (one behind the wheel) ? CAMERA_1 or 0 ? Have no clue. Would like to make a second one - a bit more centered, like the PC2 cockpit cam. Is it possible ?

The Primary camera's position is defined in the car.ini file. You can also use the 'Onboard Settings' APP to set this position which is saved to a separate ini file for each car. And/or use the same APP but save as Dashboard, but that camera is fixed to the car rather than stabilised like the main camera.

Scale, Local rather then Global. and always a good idea to Apply Scale when finished.

In 1998, there were 2 differnet mercedes driving GT1. The old 1997 one, which was V12 (URD), and a new one V8 (all the others). They look very similar, but are not the same car. Especially on the physics side of things. The 1997 was a transition year from modified road production cars to prototypes. So they had to use a base road car that could be heavily modified (much more than in previous years), in 1998 most of the restrictions were then totally lifted and those cars are full on prototypes. The difference under the chassis was massive.
1997 version:

I think you mean the transition from 98 to 99... That was substantial...
97 to 98 was minor, compared to 98 to 99... GT1 to GTP.
Compare the 97 and 98 CLK's - they're quite similar.
Now compare the CLK's to the CLR. Massive difference.

!!Released!! AC Legends GT Classic v3.0
Thanks to lots of help from the AC modding community we were able to create another extensive update for the AC Legends GT mod. Although every car has completely different handling, balance and character, the power to weight ratio’s is pretty equal, resulting in close laptimes and –racing.

Hey Bazza, dunno where else to contact you but thanks for all the great work. Just running into an issue where when trying to load the Porsche 906, Shelby Daytona, Ford Capri, Jaguar XJ12. Whenever I try to load any of those (loaded via Content Manager), it gives me an error that crashes the game before it loads the track and the prompt says "Textures size of format might be wrong". Every other car in the pack works fine, but those cars in particular give me that issue. If you've got any ideas how to fix it, I'd appreciate it! Thanks again.

This problem has only affected a very small portion of users but not to worry as there is a fix, it will be made public pretty soon so keep a look out. :)

I gave this bolide a whirl (at the new R1 Circuit from actl). As with all electric cars (and the Chaparral), I find the single forward gear disconcerting, I guess because most of my driving 'cues' are prompted by revs and gearshifts, but all-in-all a credible effort, not all that much different from Volkswagen's hillclimbing ID.R. I know Lewis has sworn he'd never drive an electric race car, but it makes you wonder: if the only thing keeping auto races from being staged in city centers is the noise (which we all love and the unwashed masses hate), then maybe electric cars are worth a shot. Nah, I'd miss the ripping-canvas shriek of a 312B blasting past my Twenty at 140 dB. Never mind....
