No, no, I hate chicanes. There's nothing worse in the world of racing than nice long straights and sweeping bends interrupted by what looks like a scenic overlook or drive-up restaurant lane. What I'm looking to find out how to remove the chicanes in Castle Combe (they're just bypasses with the main route being blocked by tire walls -- I want to learn how to get rid of the tire wall objects.)

Sorry. My gorge rises whenever I hear the word 'chicane.' Staying indoors for eight months has made my hinges squeak.

Honestly, not at all. I'm disappointed that they cancelled the RTX/Realtime Raytracing that they showed off, but ACC looks absolutely incredible.

Here's a quick edit I just recorded on the new Imola track in ACC, I'm amazed by how good it looks.

It looks good except the shadow draw-in is more obvious than AC in this video somehow. After 1000's of laps on Nordschleife watching the shadows draw themselves in at Fuchsröhre like a magical spectacle every lap, I thought the next version of AC would surely fix that flaw of all things. Thankfully CSP helps that in AC (for anyone looking for a plain objective reason to use it over vanilla)

Here's my latest, this was a fun one to do with plenty of objects I could use for streams of water placement and got to be one of the best tracks for AC for sure.

Long ago I tried a ton of cira's stuff, they're pure garbage.
Ripped cars from GTR2/ RR3 etc then bolt on some fantasy physics. Then charge a premium lol.

Hi folks, was the Mach 5 from Speedracer ever made for AC?

I've seen it last spring, think it was on a .vk site but there is one.

My most major dislike for encryption on mods is from those that make **** mods and have them encrypted.

Indeed. Its like a child (many of them are) takes a can of fermented beans into a village, strife with starvation and malnutrition and asks, 'would you like 5 beans'?
It makes the modder and bean giver tingly through out their body.

Echo on this, we all here for peace and enjoy the game !

We respect all talents choice, encrypt or not is own personal taste. Whether to pay / donate / free mod is also own personal choice and should be respected.

I see more new members joining this thread recently and hope we can maintain the friendly & collaboration tone manner and keep delivering great content to the society and reaching 2000 pages !!

Hmmmm, I might create a patreon, I've made 7 skins for the P4/5...
Oh, and a new AI for, don't remember where, but doesn't matter.
And I'm sure I've made some more stuff, albeight don't remember exactly what. Will have to dig.

Just hit the bellow button please.

Stay safe and sane.

My sig tells no lies, never has.
Just read it now. Guess you also ran foul of the "King Nobody" type persona's in that specific Discord group.

This whole saga has a good outcome though, the sour experience of that interchange on the discord in question has made me paint all discord groups as filled with self entitled, self important nobodies, when in fact probably many people I respect from here are likely in some good discords.

Is there a list of good modding discords I should be joining?

this also applies to their Alfa 75 group A? or is that car the only good thing?

Anyway, does anyone here knows about good websites to check paint color codes? I'll have to remake the Mercedes SLS Black Series paints so if someone knows where to find Mercedes paint codes that would help a lot.

Found this: https://www.paintscratch.com/touch-up-paint-codes/paint-code.html
Couldn't find my car's color, but I believe it was repainted somewhere along the way, these oldies didn't come with metallic paint at the time. There's a really close one though

Aye. They're awful. And as you said, 'a bit pricey'. You're better off buying Race07 for the full experience (and it'll be cheaper ahah).

@GzeroD would you mind restoring the links to your dirt tracks and cars, please? or let us know when you mean to do it?

Also if you have the time and inclination to whip out the walls blocking the old track at two chicanes at Castle Combe and restoring the line along the old circuit, that would be my humble request. I imagine it would take you 10 minutes to do, and it would be a great vintage layout restored.

No point in restoring the track side pits in my opinion except for historical accuracy. Those kinds of pit lanes (at Spa 66 and some versions of Monaco) sometimes bring me rapid deceleration as the pit lane limit kicks in on a really hot lap! Is there a simple way of getting rid of the speed limiter altogether at specific tracks, anyone? As someone mainly interested in periods of racing before there was such a thing, I find them annoying.

Thanks for all your stuff - it's great.

EDIT: I've found out how to disable the pit lane.

I'm rethinking my Dirt oval adventures, not quite sure I can get it right. What I have got is far better than any other recent game except for iRacing which I don't own and rFactor which I left before they mastered their dirt tires. And of course I have never driven a Dirt car.
Thought I might prostrate myself at the feet of the money grabbers and 'buy' iRacing for a month just to check.

Castle Combe will be a piece of cake, but as always no promises.

No limiter in Pitlane works but then you can't do pit stops. I have a wonky, not tested not sure I should have published it version in my Le Mans '85 conversion.
Driving down the fast lane every 50m is a tiny stretch of track marked Pit which lights up where your pitbox is but only for a split second and before slowing you down too much, then if you pull into the slow lane the limiter kicks in and you can see your pit stop.
I left it as is and haven't had any feedback on it however.

The other way would be to make it more obvious which Pit bay is yours. Use track art or add bits so that when sitting in your Pit bay it is obvious which number it is and when driving down the fast lane it is also easy to see those numbers

So how DO you disable the pit lane?

Lol this is the fix I provided last month on a well-known Russian forum . Basically 'stole' these lines off the RSS 2020 ahah. Works like a charm now ; the previous version just drove like a bloody wooden plank.

With the fix that you had, it's shown why It's one of my favourite mods to use on AC. of course at first I was expecting it to be trash since some of the mods there on RD are trash (i did say some, not all I love going onto RD to check out stuff cause, of course, I am not one hell of a hypocrite). And the time to ask a question.

does anyone know which line of the suspensions.ini is to fix the offset of the wheels shown here on the HPD:
I am trying to fix the cars of course with the physics (mainly the wheels) and all but I know I am missing the wrong spot on the cars so can anyone help me out where are I am wrong on.
