Someone here (Mascott?) knew the guy from ac-track-reboot.
This is just an obsessive thing of mine, but could you suggest him to organize his website in 3 columns? LOL

On that BMW M3 E46 GTR, I never performed any kind of rework on the physics/suspension... All I focused on really is tires and visual updates and it could still use more too. So perhaps I could put it back in the lineup of what I am currently working on. I know now that there is bound to be some discrepancies in the physics, primarily for the fact that it is using Audi TT RS (VLN) geometry along with BMW M3 GT2 Aero/Wings... :lol:

Isn’t that a reasonable approximation of that car then? The TTRS has struts up front and a multi-link in the rear - just like an E46. And I’d rather have the (presumably well-implemented) aero from a closely-related Kunos GT2 car than someone’s fantasy of what a 2001 ALMS GT car was running. I mean - does anyone have the wind tunnel data just laying around somewhere to verify all of it?

That guys comments about it “handling like a UFO” are bizarre. With only minor setup changes, I was sliding that car all over the place. It drives very similarly to the URD GTE cars as-is.

I’m no suspension expert, but I did race competitively in SCCA for a few years and IMHO the car responds as I’d expect, and is one of the better cars I’ve tried in AC: Probably because it copied Kunos-designed suspension geometry and aero.

I got another obsessive thing with AC Track Reboot ! ^^

Salzburgring

Zolder

My AC is "all natural" without shaders so, what's wrong with these two tracks !?

Cheers ! ;-)

Well... I give you a clue.
Look around the wheels ! ;-)

I choose a Kunos car (for eliminate another factor) but all the cars are impacted indeed.

By the way, I LOVE the works of the team and I'm very please to drive on these tracks.

It doesn't mind, It's not really important when you drive alone with the cockpit view ! ;-)

The Porsche 936 "Le Mans" (1977) is now in version 1.4 and got some adjustments and 3 Martini skins.
The skins "Martini" are not really well done but... we can now drive the car with those mythic liveries and that's really cool !

I replaced the helmet by an "iconic one" historistically associated with these car as... Jacky Ickx !

Cheers ! ;-)

@Elio92
Eheheh the tyres shadow is wrong... it feels like the cars are sinking on the tarmac.
I'm using Shader Lights Patch (here Zolder)
I'm going to try without and update the results.

On both tracks same issue. But it appears only at a certain distance and in certain areas of the track. For example it wasn't easy to spot as I had to thoroughly check. In another occasion, zooming in, the additional transparent "layer" on the tyres disappeared as I got closer.
It should depend on the track shaders/meshes which benefit from the Shader Lights Patch stuff, I guess, unless the car has the same behavior on not "Reboot" tracks as well.

New skins for the fantastic Saab 99 turbo have been released on RD. The author mentions that the WKmod team have updated the car...anyone have the newer version? I think they are a Facebook modding group.

@delpinsky
Thanks a lot for your kindness to help and see what could be wrong, I really appreciate ! ;-)

On Zolder, I noticed It appeared near the chicane before the stands, I will never saw it If I didn't took a picture.
On Salzburgring, from my memory, It appears all along the track with fluctuation.

Cheers ! ;-)

I'm on that group, but I don't see any update on the SAAB (either by scrolling or using the search function). PM me if you need the "old" one, although is doesn't seem like it.

as said, fantastic what they made of it, i just hope that the next shaders patch fixes replay game crashing.

Probably great track for slower touring cars.

The author mentions that the old WKmod has been updated, not that WKmod updated it.

Great car for this era:
-8.9s 0-100 (I made 9.1s but i'm bad)
-190km/h
-145 hp Turbo.
It's really a funny car to drive.

Pardon my inexperience, I'm learning about much of this by trial/error and by following threads like this. Question though... I have seen many comments about shader mods, and have heard of good bad weather mod. Is there a definite "I should get" shader mod? Or is there more than one? Or is the good bad weather mod better? My goal is to have nighttime/simulating 24 hours racing, so I'm not sure which mod i should try. Thanks in advance for any help.

you can use it at same time, so you can install both

Is there more that one shader mod? If so is there a specific one I should get? And I can run both at same time? Or install both and only run one at a time?

there is the shaders light patch
https://acstuff.ru/f/d/28-shaders-patch-dynamic-lights

you should get the content manager as well, from there you can easily enable
and disabling everything in the shaders and get so many useful tools the original game does not have.

give a small donation to unlock everything, a dollar works.

@gladbecker82
perhaps it's better also to point him out to the Discord page of Shaders Light Patch: LINK
Also, he needs to buy the "key" for the Content Manager, as it costs nothing compared to the benfits it gives.

Last but not least, together with Content Manager & Shaders Light Patch:
Immersive AC Competizione + SSAO PPFilter or Trackday PPFilter
Good & Bad Weather/Reshade
Wet Mod by Alberto Fracasso
Deems Summer/Autumn/Winter/ Winter [Snow Edition] Track Packs
TK's Smoke Mod
BLM Lights/Car
ProTyres/ ini Lut pack
Camber Extravaganza

All mods can be found on Racedepartment.

Basically yes, when you use the Wet Mod, it acts like water spray (check out the RD page about the mod)
Be sure backup the files that will be overwritten.

For the Shaders Light Patch, use my Discord link, it's easier.

@P1ButtPlug
don't forget:
— you can drag n drop Shaders Light Patch zip into Content Manager and install from there.
— you MUST first disable and then delete any previous version of Shaders Light Patch from Content Manager (Content>Mods menu page), to avoid any kind of mess.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the help. I have had Content Manager for a few weeks now, what a great product and so many more settings than the stock launcher. It's especially useful when hosting a server, allow links for downloading any missing content. I will get to testing these mods, fortunately I have VM's I can spin up to test (and to host online servers) without disturbing my main racing rig.
