Lienz RainFX

A labour of love for a favourite circuit of mine that was converted from the rFactor 1 version, that also had a "hi-res" texture pack created for it. So despite efforts, the bones are a bit rough, but it's better than I remember in AC and still a blast to drive, and feels like a great adventure every lap. And I hoped a RainFX config would freshen it up a little bit more.

I forget where I found the track and the mod for it, but if/when I find them, I'll link then here.

Enjoy.

Sorry guys, I've tested Porsche Test track (Leipzig) downloaded on gtsupreme and it needs lots of time to charge for every layout and the grass is flat. Do you know other Porsce test track not from gtsupreme that actually have all the layouts? Can you please fix the grass?

Hey folks. Just wondering if it's possible to add chrome wheels to a skin without modifying anything in a cars directory other than the folder in skins? I am specifically trying to do this for the Guerilla GT4 supra but am unable to change the materials in CM like I can with most other cars. Maybe with an ext_config?

Thanks again everybody, despite everything that's happened this has been a great year for me, here's to more AC tracks in 2021!!!! (any ideas?)

Not trying to be a downer pk3r72owns, but before getting new tracks from you, I'd love to see the ones you've started get finished first!

I'm on your Patreon and have downloaded a number tracks that could be great but are missing all the final touches, including proper cameras, working AI, proper surfaces configs for all the areas of the track (like the grass, dirt areas and so on). I've also got at least two recent ones that just won't load at all. (e.g. The Welsh village one and Bromf#!* whatever it's called.)

I think it's real shame not to finish things properly because a great number of your tracks have the potential to be really excellent.:cheers:

OK, for some reason - unknown to me - all Austin Healey sprite cars were deleted from RD.
I have the Sebring version but forgot to install the parent car.
Could somebody help me out please ?

I'm uploading it to sharemods for you now Fanapryde. Have to head out to do some shopping soon, but I'll paste the link for you here a little bit later on.

:)

Hi,
Not a downer at all! I get it totally!

Regarding the tracks that dont load for you, have you messaged me about them with error messages etc, I try to get back to everyone to work out the issues. (If you've already contacted me and your username is different I do apologise!)

It's still mostly a hobby for me, and I do try and make progress on the tracks that seem the most popular, it's an unfortunate fact that some will get left behind. It is difficult to gauge interest in some of the tracks, so it's probably inevitable that a project somebody likes doesn't get enough attention from me.

Also, I get that more progress on some of the older tracks would be appreciated, I've been trying to concentrate most on the ones people join for etc, such as chuckwalla and thunderhill, but as they're based on real locations the amount of work required to get them accurate is considerably more, than the fictional circuits. At the moment with chuckwalla the ground does have the wrong name and therefore behaves like asphalt, will be fixed in the next update.

Thanks again for your support, and if there's anything that you'd really like to see more progress on, please let me know!

Cheers,
Ty

I'm hoping someone can help me with something:

I want to make a RainFX for one of the historical versions of Pau.. either the 60s or the 70s, but I simply cannot find the general config.ini for either track. What's interesting is that I can find it for his modern version.
Thanks for any help!
