Great update, I was mostly looking forward to the gauge cluster screen.

I noticed the repositioning of the driver also changed the position of the eyes in the cockpit camera. The driver seems to be "looking down" and as a result of that, the gauge cluster screen obscures the view a bit. I fixed this by raising the eye position a bit with the "Onboard settings" app, and I also adjusted the steering animation so it better matches the wheel turning (still needs some work at the very ends of the steering radius). I sent you a PM with the files I modified.

GrassFX, longer grass and mixed, RainFX

NOTE. The latest sattelite imagery is full of farms and houses and suburban roads on the hillsides, so in this version the sat image is actually of the mountains BEHIND the actual track.

TODO:
FIx those damn trees, you may spot floating bushes or trees with two trunks,
normals and uvmapping are particularly bad with this AMS extraction.
Working on it, have "honey-do's" ATM, maybe early JAN, anyone else wants to run with it feel free.

CREDITS to original track authors Reiza, and the original convertors that did ai/cams etc. left it intact and didn't add my name.

Hello everyone. I'm Alex and I'm new to the AC community. I got the game off steam on sale this weekend and I've literally been addicted (I already have 10+ hours). I was wondering if anyone had some good recommendations for mods? I'm mainly looking for GT3 packs/GT3 cars. One of the things I love about games like Gran Turismo for instance is the large variety in the Gr.3 class. I'm not sure if there are any for AC, but any GT3 or Gr.3 class car/pack would be nice. I'm super excited to join the community and thank you everyone in advance!

There are quite a few Assetto Corsa Competizione conversions floating around, usually found in Discord channels, those are going to be some of the most detailed GT3 cars you will find in general. If you are into payware RaceSimStudios has an excellent GT3 pack that includes their version of the BMW M6 GT3 and the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo.

RSS also has some older GT cars available, their GT and GT-N packs were the first things I got when I made the switch to the PC myself.

Anyone have a RSS Formula 90 - Setup file please? I am getting my ass kicked at Suzuka. I am currently using the default and its got wicket understeer and I am not good at setups.
Download car setup cheat sheet. There are millions online. Just search Google images.
 
Other than putting your content on a nvme m.2 which will zip through 2500 cars in 3 seconds, there's a setting in CM under the content tab on left, you can up the Loading Concurrency.

I can't find the Loading Concurrency setting for the life of me. In CM under the content tab on left??

Ah, I just shut my rig off or I'd take a picture. Under settings, goto - Content manager on top. Content in left list. It's the second thing down under the bar if I remember. It's right at the top. Should be 5 by default.

Ah thank you guys! Got it. What is a good value? I have 3 at the moment.
 
Any idea what is happening?

Folder structure is incorrect and basically the selected track layout shouldn't exist.

How to fix
1 - remove empty folder 'ai' and in 'ui', delete files (png and ui_track.json) and keep only sub folder (apricot_hill* , combined*, midfield*)
2 - typo for layout apricot_hill_short_reverse, the name of models.ini doesn't match with folder name (rename folder apricot_hill_short_standard_reverse to apricot_hill_short_reverse)
3 - to keep all layout under "Apricot Hill" name in CM, open each ui/<layout_name>/ui_track.json and ensure that every name field start with "Apricot Hill" ( it's missing in combined and midfield version)


edit : @pk3r72owns , it's not the only way to fix the folder structure, another could be to create a working default config, but could you take a look to fix your next version ?

Since you’re looking for GT cars allow me to plug our forum’s Hyundai Genesis GT4 tune. It’s similar to the Genesis Gr.4 from GT Sport. I’ve linked the final release version down below.

I seem to be having an issue with terrain textures not loading properly - not sure if it's the same for everyone? I know it's WIP but thought it worth mentioning anyway.

The new trees/bushes are welcome as Terra's original conversion has mirrored trees and their associated spooky face effect, but the mid-far terrain textures on Terra's track seem fine to me (better than the current ones in this new WIP) but that might just be because they aren't loading properly and/or are currently unfinished.

Also, does anyone know what causes long GrassFX to flicker madly when half in shadow, and if there's a box somewhere that needs ticking to solve it? It drives me crazy.

Have the same as for textures and have big problems with shadows in mid far mountains which are becoming partly black. Saying that had the same shadow problem on Terra version. Probably this is my setting as in video there are no such problems. What are the best csp settings for shadows in terms of quality ?

Hi all, I am not getting rain sounds with the rain FX. Am I missing something obvious? CSP 0.1.69preview1 and SOL 2.0.1 both latest versions.

Rain sounds are buggy, so they got removed in newer CSP rain previews. You can change back some CSP versions and copy their sounds to new version.
I shared a zip file with these sounds somewhere, but can't find it now. I'm not at my PC actually.

Ah, that's ok if they got removed, it's not a game breaker. If you find the files i'd appreciate a heads up. Thanks for the reply.

Here, although I'll warn you prematurely that if you're after something on the Bugatti Bolide then please ask @Kiny as it's his project. My involvement was and will remain limited to about 30 minutes of exterior editing, mostly as I wanted to try a new carbon preset and then decided to improve a few other things while I was doing it.

The car is EXACTLY the same in regard of 3d modelling etc.

I have tuned the data.acd in order to match with the rest LMP3 cars from AC Forum SK here Cars (webnode.sk) and to complete the 2020 grid

These cars need also some work and BOP'ing which I have done but have no approval to release any data.acd so no party for the ACF cars from me in public.

I would be obliged if you could test the car together with the rest LMP3 and come back with your thoughts or suggestions.

The included skins are from LMP2, if anyone fancy to create any LMP3 skins that would be nice

Has anyone worked out how to toggle the hard top on/off? It on while driving, off in CM showroom. Be good to be able to choose which is used. It also reflects the road like a mirror in cockpit view.
Also, how to toggle the copilot off with rally skins active? The usual kn5/lods method isn't possible here.
