You can't change the material in Cm because the car is encrypted. Anyway, changing the material in there would change it for the whole car and I'm not sure why would you do that.
Use ext_config for that, it allows you to change shaders on a single material or mesh and make it skin-specific too.
I have to warn you that pbr on rims doesn't work well right now, rims aren't well implemented and making pbr look good on them is usually very unlikely
1.take note of the texture_name.dds for the rims.
2. copy new color texture_name.dds into skins/carname
3. enjoy new color wheels

Every time I run a hotlap CM sends the data.acd of the vehicle to the recycle bin. Another one (or the same file) remains in the car folder. Why is this happening? Something to do with the use of extended physics?

Hi guys, first of all happy holidays and I take the opportunity to wish you a happy new year :D

I have in mind to buy a pc to play, especially, ac (sometimes acc). How much budget do you recommend to play, at least, 60fps with minimum mandatory apps like sol and shadow patch, mod cars and like 30 car grid? I've heard that ac is not well optimized btw but I don't know if that's true, my actual pc makes everything bad optimized.

Also, how to toggle the copilot off with rally skins active?
and that removing austin_sebring_sprite_co_driver doesn't help?

1959 Monte Carlo Rally skin

Depends on the monitor resolution to start. I'd say plan on $900-1200+ for a complete decent gaming PC.

AC optimization gets down to each mod and it's creation. It's a mixed bag but runs good if they are well made mods.

ACC runs really well for me.

AI only works for the forward direction tracks for now. It's a few days late, but now I feel it's a bit better quality of a 'christmas gift' for everyone on GTPlanet who has helped out with questions, given feedback, donated, subbed on Patreon etc - you get the idea...

Thanks again everybody, despite everything that's happened this has been a great year for me, here's to more AC tracks in 2021!!!! (any ideas?)

the first apricot hill with your logo in the pic crashes assetto the rest seems to work just fine.
tanx for the release great tracks

My set-up (a gaming laptop that set me back around £1,000 - spec in my signature) will get in excess of 60fps at 1080p with AC running Sol and CSP, as well as running Crew Chief, Simhub and SmoothTrack in the background.

I went PC mainly for the likes of AC and it's mods, but so much more exists for sim racing on the PC side that I don't regret the move one bit.

Not sure what to think of this one. It's unique.

Hello,

I corrected 1 version of the Rollovers' skin for they Oreca 07 LMP2. The skin is the IDEC Sport whose ran the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans. It's not perfect but it's my first time, so be indulgent

Ah, that's ok if they got removed, it's not a game breaker. If you find the files i'd appreciate a heads up. Thanks for the reply.
I just made a new archive. :)
Extract it into AC root folder:
https://sharemods.com/z8gf6hqz5g4b/old_rain_sfx_v1.0.7z.html

It should end up here: ..\assettocorsa\extension\sfx

Imo every time you update to newer CSP RainFx preview you have to do it again. That´s why a made an archive of it, for better convenience. :D

Okey you gave me an idea, I hope to have it soon! Thank you both!

How about these rainFX files? Is there a source to download these files for all the Kunos tracks and other tracks? Or does CM download the files automatically?

And please tell me, do I have to change the each single car to get rain physics?
