Hi, reinstalled AC recently, but now when I select the grip levels in the main CM page I only get Auto (set by weather), and not the other options like green, fast... Any way to fix this?

This track consists of an rFactor1 version and an rFactor2 version.
The base International/National layout was converted from the rFactor1 version.
Converted and combined parts of the Enduro layout from the rFactor2 version.
The reason I didn't convert everything from the rFactor2 version is because the wall billboards on the walls were omitted.

Hi,

of course, that is your own personal decision but why are you putting so much effort in generating a fictious and IMO not necessary track skin to a historic track instead of creating an accurate or alternative F1 skin which suits better?! I never understand the hype of these 2021 billboards from F1. No hard feelings, just my 2 cents.
Hi, thanks for your opinion.
Simply: I love to imagine modern F1 on these old circuits (some disused by F1, others disappeared, others modified) adding 2021 billboards and drs zone for a fictional championship. Nothing more. If I want to drive with old classic cars I deselect the track skin.
I'm not able to add new elements to tracks, only edit .dds and so...this will be my works.
I've started a championship with 50 races 😱 and all tracks must have 2021 billboards! 😅 (Ah...next will be Donington!)
Mainly for personal pleasure but that I want to share with you.

I saw a tutorial for making headlight lights by editing the light.ini file. I tried with a mod, but they never come on. Do you need to modify other files besides light.ini?

Is there a Zandvoort track of the 80s for AC?
When the 'Marlborobocht' was added ?
I'm not aware of a mod with that layout.
Sergio Loro has the 1965-1967-1973 layouts covered though (the test version used be on on RD, but I see it's gone now).

What might be "unnecessary" to you, it is to others.

I don't like this idea of letting the majorities choose what people with creative abilities should do. This capitalist society already puts enough pressure on creatives to only do the stuff that brings money. The majority of AC players only do GT3 and modern Formula, do you think they would have formally requested the gorgeous classic stuff Fat Alfie does? Or the beautiful 1920's Grand Prix cars from Nicecuppatea and Fourty-Too? I know it's probably not a very fair comparison with a track skin, but my point is that people should be free to do whatever they want, as long as they don't rip off others (charging for converted stuff).

So it’s simply his opinion, just as you have yours and others have theirs.
No harm meant imo.

I found the billboards of adelaide2021 to be too bright, so I fixed them in ext_config.

I think he just had an opinion. Nothing to blame him for. :confused:

Btw. i had similar thoughts. I like the uniqeness of every one track out there. Everytime i drive the offcial F1 tracks i think myself "they look partly all the same due the official f1 skin. And thats make them a bit more boring for me"
So i would not like to have even more tracks skined same. But it should not belittle his work, bacause maybe i don`t like it, but instead 3 others like this stuff very much.

Thanks for the config, we were aware of the problem and we were planning to include a fix on v1.1 which is about to be released.

I bet I saw something about a fix for an Audi, concerning extra keys for closing hood/doors?
Can't close a hood, because it is linked to an extra F key.

Searched for it but had no luck.
Anyone remembering the post? :boggled:

CSP 0.1.75 dont have the extra buttons E y F.

Yes the track with the Marlborobocht(I think so that there isn't a 80s track, but the one by Sergio Loro I actually have).

I accept every kind of opinion. We are in democracy and we have freedom of choice.
Mainly my works are for my pleasure. I like to see old F1 circuit with modern billboards, bla bla bla...
I don't care if someone doesn't care, I'll continue to create these mainly for me, because I like it and because "stimulates" my creativity and so...I'll continue to share with you (I have today over 200 download for every skin and I'm very happy that someone in the world use my work!). Freedom of choice. This will be what distinguishes my skins. If others want to create other types of skins, they are welcome! But these are what JV82, for his abilities, offers to you!

Personally, I like the idea of seeing old race tracks or old layouts of existing tracks with modern day billboards, curves, and other stuff. Whenever I see something like it, it's almost like looking into a window of what if that track didn't get torn down or altered.

I.E. I wouldn't mind seeing Riverside International Raceway with modern curves and billboards as a skin mod. Just to get an idea on what the track could look like today had California decided to not turn that area into a stupid shopping center.

Fantastic track conversion - thanks @shi.
You perhaps wouldn't see these in 2D but in VR there are a few transparency issues with alpha/shader settings on glass and a fence that creates a weird holographic effect.

(I only checked the International layout - there might be more on the other layouts)
Didn't spot any new glass/alpha issues on the other layouts, but on the Enduro layout there's a gap in the treewall and a broken tree (see below)
