Opera is more of a proxy than a VPN, anyone using it thinking they are safe, they are far, far from it. Privacy?

lol I never said that opera´s VPN is safe. In fact no VPN is safe because they track your activity but this is the wrong forum for stuff like that. my point was that opera at least changes your IP so you can still download from RD
EDIT: I mean the VPN is free what do people expect?

If you ask yourself, why the heck does it look some kind of strange? Because it has no transitions between asphalt/sand/grass + it was cut out badly. idk if i will fix that.

I just cut and pasted new version so i must have as its default now.
I had it installed for previous Versions and worked fine.

I just joined the forum after lurking here for ages - first off, thanks very much for all the hard work on this track, it's beautiful. But I figured I needed to mention there is a hole in the sand off the first chicane - yup, I discovered it thanks to my terrible driving...! It swallowed my car and sent me off into never, never land...

Thanks again - tremendous work, can't wait to see your finished version!
 
I like the skidmarks! They make the track look used, and dirty.
Similar thing to the Mid Ohio mod that has skidmarks everywhere - it really helps it look like the track has seen a lot of action.

@leBluem, if you bow to any pressure and remove the skidmarks in the future then PLEASE have them as a selectable skin. I like them.

They look just overdone, and i assume nobody wants skidmarks in their gravel

I think so also. I'm still on 1.25 preview 49 and I have the same issue.
Funny things is that cars, in the distance, are grey from all views (cockpit, bonnet, etc..) but ok from camera TV during replay.
 
First of all, let me say the filters are not terrible. A few tiny tweaks to the .ini (see screens below) are pretty dam* good. The 'wet track' yes is a bug being worked on with 114. I think your expectations are is that, if it's the latest I can get, no problems.
Secondly, you reverting all over the place.... 49? Really? You're doing yourself a dis-service going that far back, 74 is just fine. 114 is still in the baking stages, you should know that beings you posted the discord and have probably read it.

Sol 1.2 here with 79, not one single issue, none on my end. Also you had issues with the sun, I showed ya, its on your end. So to say outright, its (both SOL and shader) is 'chocked full of weird bugs right now', isn't really being honest.

Heres the SOL (non ACC) pp with a few tweaks. Is this terrible looking?

I notice you're not showing what the sun looks like, which was the entire issue. Anyway, you seem like a sort of defensive/irritable/vaguely unpleasant person (which matches your avatar perfectly, btw) and I really don't want to get into it with you. Suffice to say, the entire project is currently an alpha build, it's free, and I'm grateful for all they've done. I'm sure that one day it'll all work seamlessly. We're not there yet, which you'd know if you visited the Discord occasionally and read the bug reports. Glad you're happy with it.

I did challenge him but he just keeps posting nice pictures with no sun. I'm sure he's working on it :confused:

These two pictures look great but you do have issues on your end, your sun looks nothing like the real sun. Same issue I had and and just like Kondor999's until he tweaked his settings and was able to get it to look like this:

Here's a real picture for your reference. Go ahead and try to reproduce it with your current settings without tweaking them.

This is my point exactly. He carefully excluded any pics that included the sun. Right now, the sun looks frankly terrible unless you get just the right angle, with no clouds (sometimes!). I've tried everything, and I can't even reproduce that one screenshot where the sun looked right. If I go back to that exact same time of day/track and decrease time by just 10 minutes, the sun ends up higher in the sky and it's back to looking like a luminous exoplanet instead of a glaring continuous fusion explosion. The reason I said the filters are terrible, is that neither Sol filter currently produces rays or glare from the sun. Otherwise they're fine. Just race at night or with the sun directly overhead I guess?

Anyway, we should report it at the Discord and not here. After trying for hours to tweak it, I gave up.

While I am very grateful for all their work, I admit I'm worried that a dizzying array of nice-to-have features keep getting added (physically based rendering???) while basic core functionality (like how the sun looks, or cars running their lights in broad daylight - thus killing FPS, or proper wet-weather racing) remains...shaky. But, it's not my project. I'm in awe of how much CSP and Sol have transformed AC. Hopefully it all works out in the end.

We're both on the same page with this and I agree I can't find a solution either. It will get worked out and I don't want upset the mastermind behind it. He knows what he's doing and nobody except @P1 (again giving you a hard time bro) actually thinks it looks good.
