Hi! This car probably doesn't exist in AC. I can't even find it for GTR2/GT Legends. Can someone confirm?
Regrettably not - there's a body model for GT4 but it's not great quality and has no interior.


Haha, it's not hard if you know what you're looking for - I just Ctrl-F "crystal palace" every now and then, and that's it lol.

I've always hope to see a version of this Ginetta for AC too! Fingers crossed that someone finds or makes one.
So... the Ginetta G4 does exist in Gran Turismo 4 & 5. That's a big hint for any mod converters looking for a project! (Paging Peter Crill, Paging Peter Crill. 😋 )


The Ginetta I'd really really really like to have in my garage is the G12. 😛

I hate that this stuff bothers me, but it does. The new track config for Nords that CM downloaded is a wreck IMO so i'm trying to fix it. Hoping someone can turn a few laps with this and tell me what I missed. Basically I tried to fix three things that bugged me.

1.) There was some orange grass in some spots. Let me know if I missed any of them.
2.) I did some material adjustments on meshes because there was a bunch of orange pine trees. In doing so I also had to create mesh adjustments for some normal trees so they would still be colored in the fall. Let me know if I missed any orange pines or if there are any uncolored regular trees.
3.) I toned down the intensity of the fall colors. I think I need to go further down on the intensity but would love another opinion.

Any other ideas, i'm all ears.

For now, this is a full extension file. Once I finalize everything, i'll just put my adjustments in an ext_config and leave the original version in the tracks\loaded folder alone. The zip has two files and you can decide how you want to try this. You can either overwrite the ks_nordschleife.ini file in the tracks\loaded folder or put the ext_config file in your track's extension folder. Make sure to back up your originals in either location first so you can revert back after testing. Thanks for any help.

What is "CJK" support?
I think that is the support for Chinese / Japanese / Korean symbols
settings -> csp -> gui -> New UI -> CJK support. I dont know what it does exactly and even Peter wrote in his documentation for Pure it requires "New taskbar" to use "Pure Config." Well, No. :)

Old (and my prefered) taskbar and active "Pure Config"

But as soon as I disable "CJK Support" "Pure Config" isnt there anymore. :)

Screenshot taken from my test system within a VM, that's why CM isnt registered.
Yes, it does not need the new taskbar, but the clarity in the new taskbar is much higher, so such new apps like Pure Config are easier to find, with the full name in the list instead of a big symbol, which is the same for most new apps.

Anyway, on my side CJK on/off makes no effect on Pure Config.
 
is there anyway to simulate race in AC with content manager ?

I am trying to check AI speed with different cars , but the problem is I don t want to watch entire races from begining to end to have lap time reference etc
and all the time i exit immediately the race it says race cancelled without giving any result ?

any idea ?

I just finished tinkering with the f1 96 cars by fongu; all that remains is a decent sound mod for some of the engines. anyone here knows a good one?

You are wrong. :)
Disabeling "New Taskbar" will show you the "Taskbar v2" with Symbols and Text, like in my picture. This option enabled gives you the "grouped taskbar".

To get the vanilla taskbar you need to disable the extension "TASKBAR" entirely.

Get a dog, a nice park next to your home and I garantee you 2 good races results per day, minimum. :sly:

I've dabbled with it trying to see how my physics update performs. It worked for me. Here's what I did, set max lap, set number of opponents, run a few ai laps and quit. Results should show up.

Have you tried Legion's Formula Ford? It's two of them, both have same physics, and both are bloody crappy. Talking about suspension work. It's literally impossible to make a cornering on high speed since rear end of the car goes ahead and you spin. As i have noticed, all Legions car have physics problems...but it's another story so far.

So, coming bask to beloved Formula Ford, probably it is some physics update for his Formula Ford with decent stuff? I was expecting to ride same level car as RaceRoom Formula Junior (aka Ford) has.
 
hi all,

on quite a few mods there are parts in the interior of the car which reflect the colors of curbs as I drive over or near them...
this is unrealistic as the curbs light reflection would never hit them irl. This catches attention (esp in VR) and distracts from race and breaks immersion.

Can this be fixed with settings change in CSP ? (I tried a few combinations of settings in REFLECTIONS FX section of CSP to no avail).

If not possible to get rid of this via CSP , can reflection be turned off (for those materials only) with CM Showroom?
I can select the material and go to "Change values", but then I don't know what values to change to make the material none-reflecting (if such thing is possible at all).
It's mostly metalic/chrome pieces around door handles and door speakers which reflect the curbs colors.

Any guidance/info around this is much appreciated.

It's literally impossible to make a cornering on high speed since rear end of the car goes ahead and you spin. As i have noticed, all Legions car have physics problems...but it's another story so far.

So, coming bask to beloved Formula Ford, probably it is some physics update for his Formula Ford with decent stuff? I was expecting to ride same level car as RaceRoom Formula Junior (aka Ford) has.
Have not tried the Formula Ford mod in RaceRoom, other than in AC - so unable to provide a comparison - but Legion's mod is quite good if not great - you may need to cast aside any expectations and find the right sweet-spot by driving many laps... Yes, it does tend to steer quite sensitively, and engine-braking is far better than actual brakes... Just lightly tap brakes if needed, otherwise it tends to lock up quite easily.

Here's a YT video from April 2021 when mod was released and raced on FileMissing's Lap Server, with several other GTPlanet members - what a great time that was... And take notice of the gear changes used to grip those turns at Donington Park circuit... Best of luck and enjoy the mod.

I still sure it's suspension geometry/work issue, because the similar car irl has absolutely easy and predictable movements. Even Go cart with literally no suspension, rear engine layout and short wheelbase is much more predictable, so there is no excuse for legions Formula Ford one.
So probably some mod-meister did some rework...i wish someone did.

Can not agree about how good his mods are. Lot of unbalanced things over there (tried few GT cars). But does not matter....

Shaun Clarke was working on physics for this car before he sadly passed away. I don't think anyone has stepped forward to do anything with it since.
Personally I don't find it as bad as you seem to find it (and I've done a lap of Donington in one of these cars IRL).

oh god...it's terrible to hear(

Few times was into Formula Silverstone. Yes, its different, but not much, and i have not experienced any rearends slips while cornering+braking.
Right, braking...the brake pressure in game also seems to be too reactive. It locks way too easy.

i will try to find a sollution for this issue.

i also noted for these 2 "handling- SPINS TOO EASILY" ... tried playing around with (toe) setup , but did not get me to a point where it was much better. If anyone has updated physics for these , that would be welcomed indeed!
