probably all tracks with upper case letters in the folder name? CM doesn‘t like upper case letters in the folder name, so it’s best to change all car and track folders to contain lower case letters only.
good suggestion but the track folder have all lower case letters 🤔

Hi all! I've been working on vintage Trans-Am liveries from the 1969-1972 seasons, and I've posted a mega-pack of them on RD.

There are 115 skins total. I included some of the skins that come with the pack, but with a unified folder structure that is much easier to browse when making grids. We don't have all of the tracks that T/A raced at, but at least we have almost all of the cars now!

Enjoy!

It would be awesome to find the RT4, the swift and reynard Formula Atlantic cars too. There is a 1977 Formula Atlantic mod in RF1, but, wont be very high poly models. I dont have the ability, but the guy who made those models and the guy who run the team, have given me permission to get it converted, so long as it is not sold, and appropriate credits are given, however, i fear that nothing could be done to take the old models and braing them to modern standards.. Sadly multiple F1 mods are done, while the lower more interesting classes are forgotten
Very much so yep. Whilst F1 can be fun and all, just as it is with other car types, the slower classes are often as much if not more interesting. What was that about the challenge of going fast in slower cars? :) It certainly would be wonderful to see more formula cars that aren't F1, especially the historic ones.

Yeah I'm an a big fan of lower formulas too. But, if you inspect all racing games, i think AC has the most non-F1 formula cars. Maybe the big part of these cars/mods can only be purcharsed. But we have a lot of free cars too.
And maybe there are a lot of mods which you can't know that exsist.
For example, guess how many F4 cars exsist for AC?

The same guy that made the Courage C36, made this... If you care

This is true yes, the point I believe Warren was making and I agreed with is, vs the amount of F1 mods. There are indeed a number of pretty good non-F1 formula mods for AC, not taking away from that.

Anyway, digressing. The discussion is really about historic F3 cars, particularly the Ralt R4 as featured in Revs. It doesn't sound like anyone know of a version of it for AC, but so far we've been informed of the 1976 beauty, above by @MasterFocus . Hopefully he can share the mod or where he got it. :)

Few question about weather/rainFX...

Does the "Grip%" changes with rain?

1662313396923.png

I enabled the extended physics, kinda let the rain go for a bit and that doesn't seem to change. Looking at AI cars on track they don't seem to slow at all. I look at my teammate's cars and it was slowing down in the rain by like 20 sec a lap. I went out and I can barely stay in a straight line without wet tires....

What else do I need to do to actually have a race with weather for everyone on track?

they had a silent update on day 1 to fix tire issues. did you redownload the car after initial release?
Hi !:)

I wasn't aware about your information so thank you very much.;)
I saw my mailbox, I paid quicly and I downloaded... very quicly.

Cheers !

I believe the problem is due to the level of grip chosen in the session settings. You should choose "Auto (set by weather)"

Hello guys. I have a (maybe) weird question.
As we know AC have already almost everything. I mean tons of cars/tracks etc. It's amazing ofc but I think I got lost in it a little.
So the question is what do you guys are doing in AC ? I mean you back from work, want to relax in AC and what cars and tracks combination do you use ? I have a lot of cars and tracks and at the end I usually choose Nordschleife with gt3/gt4 cars cuz on many many different tracks ( fantastic tracks ) driving with AI is just impossible.

I tried to do custom championships with I think interesting cars and tracks combinations but again - AI problems.

Hope u understand what I mean : D

I like trying out new road car mods, then adding them to various buckets based on their performance to make randomized grids for later road races.

But I come back most to classic touring and sports cars - think the GT legends packs - and GT3 if I'm feeling on my game.

I like AI races with as many cars as possible.

I previously spent more time putting together various carsets at to run at various tracksets, setting up real driver names and liveries wherever possible. A trackset might be Fonteny, Deutchlandring and Feldberg, or COTA, Laguna Seca, Sebring and Road Atlanta. If the tracks need custom ai_hints set for different cars...I do it. Carsets are based on series info found usually on Wikipedia. WEC, WSC and IMSA (GTP-GTO-GTU SCCA) dominate my time. (I have maybe 5 formula cars...not my thing.) I will BOP any car that doesn't fit right to make a version that fits the carset. When I'm in the groove, all my opponent car types get my personal setup at every track. This grueling attention really pays off when it finally comes time to race. Problem was, race time wasn't coming enough...

Now, everything is determined by its suitability to VR. VR is the way for me. Could never race sitting in front of a screen again. Nope. So now fields are smaller (18-30), and only tracks that look good in VR make the grade. No change there really. I ditched all the ugly tracks long ago. Much more time spent driving now. Lotsa track days using the carsets mentioned. Racing isn't as important as driving. VR good.

That is already what I selected...
Tomorrow I'll try to take a look at the weather settings and see what I can find that can help you

On AI I agree with you, unfortunately there is always some problem that prevents me from fully enjoying a race. When I play offline, I usually either train on a circuit that can allow me to better understand a car or to refine the setup or I drive any car in the ring and see how it performs. Every now and then I organize some mini endurance with a maximum duration of an hour, but in the end the AI knocks me out LOL

EDIT 1845hrs 05092022
Changed Pescarolo number 9 to 4 and added a Beltoise skin (3) as per race numbers in 1970 South African Grand Prix

Adjusted the riveted metal to fit better - doesn't look so false now (?)

Helmets based on Interweb but mine are a bit ropey so if anyone wants to the job properly - Thanks

Very nice, thanks!

on a side note to the lower single seater classes, I had a friend of mine 3d print me a body from the RF Formula Atlantic mod (permission from the model creator was sought and given first)
This was the B34 Chevron printed in resin in 1/24 scale, that I intend to create as a model or Slotcar of Keke Rosbergs championship winning car from NZ in 1977.
Have also done 3d prints from later game models, RF2 and a Toyota Starlet that was being developed for AC, the creator sent me the STL file of the body, and being a higher poly model printed out even nicer.

Because so many content available, I’m very selective by only keeping the quality stuff and in my case also from an certain period. (before 1972)
