You might have to add more objects too, depending on the track. Increasing the "elements" value alone will increase specatotor density, but it will not add specators to empty grandstands, I think. It's been a while since I was fiddling with this.

allo guys, does someone maybe can help me? if u wanna start a race, u can say in content manager to use real life data, but at some tracks the time is wrong. like one toronto track i use, it says 1pm but in toronto its 7am
That's often because the tracks geo coordinates are wrong. CM allows you to fix that quite easily.

I'm wondering if anyone knows a solution to this windscreen problem with the acfsk_duqueine_d08_lmp3_2020? From the front the banner appears normal, however as the car passes the camera, the banner becomes transparent and the inside is visible from outside the car. Is there a material property which has an incorrect value?

Does anyone know how to increase the amount of spectators in the grandstands on the default Kunos tracks like Barcelona, Monza and Spa?
They always have what looks to be around 30% of the seats filled lol.
I have maximum world details on.
Not sure if anyone else has replied to this yet as I'm still scrolling through the thread and catching up but you have to go into the tracks data folder and find camera facing text file. You'll see ELEMENTS... Instead of wherever it says on that line, for instance 300... Change it to like 10,000. You'll have packed stands then.

I m F302!
Where is the F302 assetto page? I did a Google search the other day and it tried finding anything that didn't bring me back to a GTP thread conservation...

For those interested, I have a live link in my signature now of trying to compile a complete list of layouts used across a multitude of series through history.

The reason I am doing this, is to have some sort of gauge as to see what tiny little gaps in history are missing through AC.
I've tried to colour-code tracks to visualise what already exists, and what is close to existing (I.E - Red Bull Ring exists, but the newer MotoGP version is 'close', etc), however I'm not that meticulous on that yet and won't be including download links. Best to use Breathe's list for that and cross-reference.

Currently have it filled in for:
  • Formula 1
  • Formula 2 (and equivalents)
  • Formula 3 (and equivalents)
  • F1 Academy (and equivalent)
  • A1 GP
  • IndyCar (and equivalents - only dating back to USAC paved circuits/ovals)
  • MotoGP
  • WEC (and equivalents - not including hillclimbs/rallies included in the WSC during early days)
  • IMSA Sportscars (and equivalents + mergers)
  • European Le Mans Series (dating back to 2001 to include Le Mans Series in 2000s prior to WEC)
  • ATCC (Includes all variations of Supercars championship, ATCC, etc)
  • Australia/New Zealand Open Wheel series (includes all circuits as part of the Australian Drivers Championship, Tasman Series, Toyota Racing Series/FROC, S5000, and Australian F3 during those few years between there being no ADC and S5000 starting)
  • Asian Le Mans Series (includes the short-lived Japan Le Mans series and the pre-cursor to SuperGT - All Japan Endurance Championship [1983-1992])
  • WTCR (including the 1987 WTCC, 1993-1995 World Touring Car Cup, and 2007-2017 WTCC)
  • BTCC
  • DTM (dating back to the old DRM in the 70s)
Will be adding in over time:
  • SuperGT (including All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship [1993-2004])
  • SuperFormula (dating back to the original All-Japan Formula 2000 championship in the 70s)
  • Formula Regional Europe
  • Formula Regional Americas
  • Formula Regional Asia
  • Formula Regional Middle East

I’m using the grand prix mods made by @Cozy61 and @Twiggy5471 from RD, as a base (btw only 1923-1967)
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/driving-through-the-decades--years-of-f1-1950-custom-championship.37368/
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/f1-various-seasons-pack.37929/
With the help of videos made by Cozy61 that’s included in his link here above, I change the mod by putting the historical correct car sets en historical correct circuits. In case of the circuits it’s sometimes a “pain in the ass”, because mostly the vintage circuits are bad conversions from ancient race sims, like GTL/RFc1. I usually change this by a similar alternative circuit like from @FatAlfie.

BTW, Like to know is there a rolling start mod (with or with out safety car) for the historical Indianapolis oval? In RFc2 it’s available but I do mis this in AC!

Is there a way to tell Content Manager to ignore an update for a mod? I have installed a couple it has notified me of but even after closing down and relaunching CM the notifications are still there

sometimes restarting helps, but i have same problems. for example i changed the ui names of a track and then i need / could to update it but all is fine. hopefully there is a way

Brantega Rally Spain - rain and grass and vao and so on...

Track can be found here: https://simracingastur.wordpress.com/2020/06/09/descargas/

Hope this source is alright, the page is new to me.

Driving - wise I think this is great!
But oh boy, those trees. And I can tolerate quite some wonky looking stuff...
Had to hide so much objects along the road and now I think caught at least the worst offenders.
Please keep in mind - I only drive in cockpit / dashboard view so my awareness of the surrounding areas is limited to begin with.
I believe the track looks okay now, at least for me.
If the ride wasn't so enjoyable, I might not even bother.

  • You should be able to copy the files straight into you assetto corsa folder as long as you have the track installed. It will ask to override - backup your track if you want to keep the original files.

  • If the new grass still won't show check your assetto corsa folder: extension/textures/grass_fx. You should have a "highlands.dds" file in there, otherwise no grassFX.

There is a way to ignore the update in CM, I think if you right click the green arrow in the drop down menu to update the option is there.

The other option is to just manually update the version number in the UI to an equal (or greater if I really suppose) number than what CM thinks is available. This happens sometimes if a modder forgets to update a certain layout of a track, CM thinks there’s still an update even though it’s already been applied.

A shame because the track seems to be fun and the actual race was great to watch.
On the other hand I already feel better about the update I did for the Brantega Stage :-)
That one suddenly looks like a "real gem" in comparison.

$5 for that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The upside with this is.. I think/hope the track 'feel' (as in the surface) is probably almost spot on. Someone would have to do a lot of work on the surroundings to make it actually up to scratch to even be worth half a dollar..

Hello,
have you tested the latest version of the Content Manager version 0.8.2561.39678 offered in automatic public ????
(following Peter Boese's message there was a bug with the untested version) for me the content manager offered it to me I apparently have no bugs
