Hello everyone,
I use the Assetto Corsa simulator,
I am making a list of all the racing cars that have won the 24h of Lemans from 1923 to 2023
More or less I have compiled between purchased and free cars from the internet most of the racing cars and their library.

This is the complete list, which, as you will see, I think I am missing those that have an asterisk. Missing only 13 vehicles

The list contains the year the car won, the model of the vehicle and between brackets [] the number it was equipped with.

Please, can someone tell me if there really are such cars that I am missing in the Assetto Corsa?
If they exist, please tell me where I can find these race cars?

This is the list of Winners:

My list, where the lines that have a * are missing, which are the years:

Obs 1: I believe that HSS is working on a Delahaye; so, this car won´t be missing for too long
Obs 2: If I´m not mistaken, someone already converted a Jaguar XK-120 to AC.
Obs 3: Where did you get the Alfa Romeo 8c 2300????? I NEED IT RN kkkkkkkkk

Sorry for semi off-topic post but this is really interesting:

Another question i had about this method is duplicates in modding. All of the approved modders will want to create the coolest new racecar, so who gets priority if 4 of them wanna make a 296gt3 evo?

How many cars have fallen/will fall into the oblivion of the forgotten because they lack the brilliant career of the 917k, the 787b or the GT40. And the more the time is coming, the more we forget... Sad, isn't it ? :)

I agree with you and researching and reading everything I can find about 1960s sportscar racing I'm always finding something new or something that only exists in a few photos.

However, there's another way to look at it; how many legends are kept alive by being digitised? As more and more of these cars are sold like art pieces, into private collections to only be shown once or twice a year, these games let us make videos, take photos and even drive them on the circuits they raced on back in the day.

Younger people with no memory of the cars the first time around are still able to discover them, enjoy them and remember them.

Take a moment's pause and just be gob-smacked at the fact that in the centenary year of Le Mans, we have ALL but 13 (actually 12, 1929/1930) of the winning cars modelled in AC. Historic SIM-racing in AC is WILD. </opinion>

Absolutely, in 30 years driving all the games, I never expected the incredible amount of vintage content (both cars and tracks) that we have in a game the quality if AC. We're in a golden age of simming with AC, whether passion is modern circuit racing, drifting, vintage content or street cars on open maps, so need to appreciate what we have, not just wish for more!

must be a forza 7 port? would be nice to get a link too, im missing quite a few cars it seems.

i got one updated by Jabba but it never came with any le mans skins, you got a link?
"I am sorry, it was a mistake. Rename the file wrong.Trade the maserati for the alfa romeo 2300c"

As I said in the post I have a big mess that I'm trying to put everything in its place.I'm looking for time to sort all the folders because I'm a bit of a mess.:-)

What the devs havent clocked yet is this game is EGS exclusive and the EGS launcher doesnt like modification to program files to the point where it will stop games from launching, see the mess with Fallout New Vegas on EGS a few weeks back for example, there are ways around it but for the general user they dont have to be faffing around with constantly updating spoofing patches just to get the game to launch. I feel like some of the things they are doing is great but this game has no discoverability on EGS so I dont know where they expect an audience to come from not being on steam.

1998 Chrysler Viper - Viper Team Oreca (Le Mans)

If you are as fussy as me and you don't want to use 99' Oreca skins for 98' race, even if they are basically the same livery but with some differences, don't worry, me too. So here you go.

Enjoy, hope you like it

Hi! (23).jpg

We’re to get that mod, this car is btw the one from the link.
https://www.raceart.eu/en/our-collection/talbot-lago-t26-grand-sport-le-mans-replica

@slider666 Thanks to @carTOON link there is also a GTR2 BEEZ here https://esport-racing.de/?s=Beez
Thx, for the info, but they don´t let me download it. :(
1686944035957.png

Do I´ve to register there, to get download permissions?

Nevertheless, I converted a rf1 version and I´m got it working, though it´s still a lot of work to do.
At least, it´s going on and looks imo better than a few days ago. :)
1686944271414.png

That is the current status.

But my main problem in the meantime seems to be contacting the authors to get permission to publish. If someone could help to contact them, I would be very grateful.

  • support for hot lap mode

  • support for time attack mode
  • 25 pit boxes with working pit lane

Don't take me as a a**, but I have two recommendations for the tracks:

In Prince George, the earth is very (really, very) yellow to me. God forgive me, but Gilles' track had some more subtle earth and grass tones (especially with the recent Bowles update).

At Snetterton, what bothered me is that the track has no bumps. Where are they? I have another vintage version of Snetterton for the AC that has some bumps, which give a dose of fun, realism and difficulty that this track needs.

Take these as something constructive, please

I can not make this car pack work with CSP 1.80-218. Can anyone with csp1.80 use these cars with out problems?

Do I have to revert back to 1.79 to use them? Thanks for any help.
After some back and forth...i see that when I join an online server running these cars the TC is not available and indicates it on screen. But when I use my mapped buttons for TC when I play offline, I can turn TC on or off but no levels.

So what triggers this difference in my settings that allows for limited TC use when the car is not supposed to have it obviously?

EDIT: wow the setting was barried deep. It was in the Tyre Blankets settings. The TC and ABS were both set to on instead of off or factory. I do not recall changing it for this car ever. Do the tyre blanket settings make global changes if the car specific box is not checked?

FIXING TIME!

3 various track fixes I've made lately I thought I could share with you.

Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017 (Gunnar333) shader overhaul

View attachment 1264696

Chuckwalla Valley Raceway (Tyrone) curb fix

The reason for the misbehavior of some cars were the double time set curbs. I had to change the main shader for the fix (the orginal was set to a old rF shader, 3DSimed converts automatically to a AC shader).

I'm going out on a limb and say Assetto Corsa.

I know there are a lot of OG sim guys that have been around for them all, but I've never seen anything like what AC has become. It's a winner for sure in my view.

...and shot out to @pk3r72owns ...glad to see the man behind the mods/post.

Wouldn't mind hearing further input on how the mods will be handled from Tyrone?

In the 100 years of Le Mans history. Some cars from 1969.
PORSCHE 917LH ( pole position )

MATRA MS630 Coupe
As soon as possible I will make it available together with the other versions of Matra (conversions/adaptations), after the possible improvements in the textures/shades made by our companion "MrHunt" )... the 3d files (everyone already knows, it belongs to the group " Evolution GTR2)

MATRA MS650

FORD GT40 (1968-1969) ( winner )
To keep pace back close to the Porsche 908LH, Porsche 908 Flunder, Ferrari 312P, Lola T70 MK3B, Matra MS650 and Matra MS630/650, but a little farther from the 917LH, I had to change several things in the folder ( data ). In the original version, it didn't download from 3m56, with this new configuration (basic setup), 3m 39

Fixing time!

UPDATE Prince George Circuit 1965

v1.1
  • changed the saturation of the main grass shader
  • added optional road meshes in extras folder (smooth and bumpy, standard is bumpy)
  • added track logo by Fanapryde
  • changed the probability of the balloons, now more often to see

UPDATE Snetterton 1964

v1.1
  • changed year to correct 1964 (no Russel corner), thanks Fanapryde for reporting
  • added optional road meshes in extras folder (smooth and bumpy, standard is bumpy)
  • added track description by Fanapryde
  • added track logo by Fanapryde

UPDATE GPLmania

v1.1
  • changed file name for the Into the woods championship
  • changed Snetterton in F160s 1500cc

Impressions from the Wings of Change championship
Assetto Corsa 2023-05-12 001.jpg

Your argument has no legs, the same modellers at RSS, URD, VRC have all made models for Kunos, they are all modelled in the same way
Yeah sure, that's why the URD PX1 Darche looks like a Great Value 919 compared to the official 919 Hybrid (narrower front-end, etc).

Or the M4 GT3 which was utterly wrong but hey, gotta release it anyway !

I've seen this asked a variety of times... For some unknown reason content manager has decided to forget my shifter and now I can't use any of my old controller presets. I've now deleted all of the old presets, started up new controller presets but still in game no matter what I do it won't shift/change gears. How do I get round this?

@Rainmaker87 when you update these tracks do you think it'd be possible to fix things like brand logo aspect ratios?
Example here from Snetterton '64 where the Esso logo is correct on the sign in the foreground, but squashed flat on the gantry banner behind.
It's details like this that can make or break tracks for me, it's a metaphorical poke in the eye on every lap.
Seems to be a recurring theme when tracks from older sims are ported to AC, and usually requires some TLC which isn't often applied.

1686991085135.jpeg

Fixing those things can be real take time because it's a trial and error to find the correct aspect. One texture to fix is OK. But I got used to it else you see it everywhere, it's like people who can stand that some trees looked mirrored because of the cross technique, and billboard is more realistic or what?

Well here you got it:

v1.2
  • fixed a stretched logo reported by Masscot

Thanks mate, I appreciate that. Agree on the mirrored trees too, they can be equally distracting and can be another reminder of the source material along with washboarď mesh stepping around corners and cardboard flags. I guess the modder always needs to make a judgement call as to whether the track justifies the extra effort required to get it closer to AC standards. Some tracks might not need much work but others will require extensive overhauls.
