Yeah, Timo is working on an update for his old M3 GTR. But i don't know how the progress of the update is and when Timo wants to release it.

It's fantastic to see the Vertigo being developed by you! It looks awesome!

I drove a couple of hard laps at doublezero's Pascani track. It's very difficult to bring the tires up to temperature quickly, and this affects the cars handling. Add to that this car becomes very unstable during hard braking and the rear can get twitchy and tail-happy in a split-second, and it's a little too much of a handful to enjoy pushing really hard. I know the real car is very light, with some front-rear weight distribution issues, but maybe the mod's physics need some tweaking to get it to behave a little better.

Still, awesome work! I've been waiting for you to release it!

Obviously I know I'm about to mention something that can easily be changed in the future, but if I remember correctly the gillet vertigo streiff was equipped with the Busso V6 in 2004. The sound would need some tweaking. But either way, you did an amazing job as usual! I particularly want to thank you because I am very attached to GTR2 and to the cars that raced in that period. :dopey:

Yes, i'm not happy with the sound too, but after checking some vids, this was one of the sounds wich comes closest atm. If someone has some ideas for better Sound or can create the right sound, let me know. 🙂

Unfortunately I have only found such videos: medium-low quality audio with a lot of background noise. :irked: If I find anything, I'll let you know :cheers:
 
I have the same issue. Was hopeful someone would post about within CSP somewhere to turn on or off something or a patch would be released.

But I found just hitting 'Try Again' will launch it like normal.
I thought I had deleted that part of my post, as I had already solved it before I posted haha.
Just hitting 'Try Again' wasn't working - I was having the issue with any car I tried on any track.
But.. just a simple "Have you tried switching it off and on again?" for the PC meant everything worked after a restart.

Hi. I need your help...
Does anyone have fast(er) AI files for rt_bathurst suitable for GT3 cars? I use the layout_12h_2023 extension from Pyyer and they are very slow, especially through the esses. With 100% difficulty they are 3 secs slower than me

I know it's WIP but since you asked, quick initial observations:
  • Seems like the Marcos Mantis GT3 could have manual or sequential options (eg 6 speed sequential Hollinger gearbox, Jerico 5 speed H-pattern gearbox) but the animation and shifter on your car is definitely the sequential version. The shifting is currently set up as 5-speed h-pattern, not 6-speed sequential.
  • Shouldn't the sunstrip graphics be reversed on the internal (cockpit) face? Unless the sunstrip is double-sided for cockpit views on TV broadcasts?
  • As they are right in the eyeline when driving, the five circular apertures into the engine bay could use some smoothing so they look completely circular without polygon facets.

Any idea why the track surface looks like this (the diagonal stripes and 'moiree' further away). The pattern changes depending on the time of day but is always there and while moving it gets blurry.
Or is it some setting in CSP maybe ? Any help is welcome.
EDIT: downloaded from another source to check and there I don't have this issue.
I also have quite heavy flickering on billboards and tire walls.

Otherwise the track looks nice, but there is no such thing as distant mountain ridges around the track IRL.

I know this may be unrelevant to Windows users since this only happens on Linux with Proton/Wine, but strangely when I installed your Gillet Vertigo, whenever I choose it CM always crashes with this error:

Probably Proton can't fully support CM yet as some features don't work with it yet unlike on Windows and also this error randomly appears even whenever I start a race or scroll the car selection window, and there's a long story why I decided to switch to Linux (Fedora/Nobara) once and for all, I genuinely feel much better here honestly so please don't ask me to dual boot or go back to Windows...

EDIT: turns out it was strangely the badge.png file for that car causing CM to crash all the time, changing it with another I have inside the Brands Badge folder from Content Manager solved this issue once and for all thankfully, talk about strange anomalies...

Problems with Gillet Vertigo:
Tires are floating.

MODERN DAY RACING SERIES FOR ASSETTO CORSA COMING SOON™


Worked hard on the modern equivalent of the GPLmania. I think you will like it. 18 championships with 183 races, nearly 300 downloads in the download catalog. :dopey::crazy::D All big names and events in Motorsport are in (Daytona, Indy, Nürburgring, Dubai, Le Mans, Monaco, ...), maybe except rally stuff, hehe.

From the Read Me:
"The Modern Day Racing Series, is the modern equivalent to the historic GPLmania championships. All big names and events in Motorsport like Daytona, Indianapolis, Nürburgring, Dubai, Le Mans, Monaco and much more are in. In total 18 championships with 183 races and nearly 300 downloads in the download catalog makes this a great experience for both AC newbies and veterans.

This addon brings you full seasons inspired by real modern championships. Cars and tracks used are combinations of real seasons and great available mods for Assetto Corsa. The races are set to have a duration of around 15-20 minutes except the endurance races that are up to one hour with realistic starting times and time change 1:24.

The idea is to keep it simple. So I do not use all extensions by Pyyer or skins or whatever that is available. You can add more if you like (how-to below). I focused on content that has a good quality and balance-of-performance. So there is unfortunately no hypercar Ferrari in the WEC, because all failed to have a good BOP to the others. Let's hope for new mods in the future!

This mod is using paid content! If you want to drive all the cars and tracks, you need a amount of approx. 200 Euro to buy them all.
Some mods need a good high end PC like the WEC cars.

There is the basic RD edition without car converts from commercial games and a full version with all championships of the Modern Day Racing Series. Read the Read me to the end for further information."

check the road material for an entry in ext_config, if you find it with a CULL_MODE=OFF etc, try disable and recheck
 
Hi. Since last CSP version (0.1.80-preview346), when you put the AI to drive your car, the laptimes are not being counted anymore. I like to test AI and simulate races. Is there any way to disable this CSP feature?

I can't even launch races with 346, I had to roll back to 218, which sucks because I use VR and the performance in VR practice driving was a lot better. I'd start with a roll back if you haven't already.

Some cars under the control of AI, when reaching the maximum speed in the last gear, change the gear ratio, how to make sure that this does not happen? I edited the final.rto with the gear ratios i needed, but the AI still changes them during the race.
you make me curious: in which way does the AI change the gear ratio when reaching max speed? because if the new ratio allows higher max speeds it should solve my slow AI on Mulsanne straight...

It's often related to the VAO patch. Try removing that from the folder temporarily, test and see if that changes anything.
