The MNBA McLaren F1 has a problem. The AI car seems to drive with a very large front height and very low rear right height. I could save the AI_default setup file for the AI cars to drive with the right setup but I'd have to do it for each track. Best to just correct the cause of the problem. I've very, very limited knowledge of modding car physics. I unpacked the data file and tried a few things but nothing worked. Seems I'm out of my depth here. MNBA don't seem interested in fixing it. Can someone please fix the issue please?
if you create the ai_default.ini as you said you could do, you can just call it up on each track when you drive it and save it to that track folder when you are at the track. Not sure how to change the setup in the physics myself, but the ai setup is the easiest way and wont cause conflicts if you ever go online with it

If you can hold on a little while you'll have a definitive version of these from Bazza. The F40Lover ones are very good - the Spyder is much better optimised than the coupé though.

The ACTK ones are updates of the older Bazza versions, but I've not tried them all - I'd assume they're the best available this minute if you need them tomorrow.

About the 1st one, go with F40 LM car. It has a better BOP against the GT40 (MKI and MK II versions) + a near Kunos quality 3D.

About Bazza´s x ACTK versions: the problem I have with some ACTK 'improved' cars is that some skins made for the original Bazza versions don´t work. I don´t now if they mess with the 3D of some cars or with some textures, but this happens in some cases (and I if I´m not mistaken, the MKIV was one of them - so, if u choose for this car, in the ACTK version, u won´t be able to have Pasta´s wonderful skinpack for it and so on).

Sorry but why not test this by yourselves, because its all a bit personal.
As a sample, some guys are mainly focusing on driving physics, historical accuracy, dynamic objects, eye candy etc. Even eye candy can be different while some monitor users are focusing on outside and the details of the engine, I as an only VR user, want to see the cockpit in full details and in 3D depth. I hate to see flat clocks and carbon fiber dashboard that looks like a flat sheet of plastic.

@andrevr

So check this out. Once again here is a printscreen of my two monitors with the in game on the left and custom showroom on the right. It would appear that by Isolating that object, (the Blancpain numberplate) in showroom and the writing a line in the extension folder using "visible =0" I have taken it out of the game, but not in the showroom. you can barely see the Michelin cup plate underneath or behind the Blancpain one in the showroom. It would seem to have fixed my issue, hopefully!

Well done

The ext_config is processed by CSP, which only loads at game-time, not with CM's Showroom.
New versions of CM have an option to invoke AC and use CSP to render previews, but the Showroom is not enabled yet.

@Vintagedriver I tried them, I was looking for another opinion 😁

I think you've got the wrong car because on his site when you download the car the pasta skinpack is already in the car archive.

Is that rev counter showing properly for you ? Or is it again a CSP version thing, that the numbers only show where the needles are on top of them ?
I reported it to TMRT but now he has removed the mod.
As an collector of the old stuff, is this the same car as can be found, but now being deleted on RD?

edit: Never mind also on ACTK site

Thanks for this mod i remember this car...
Does it work ok for you? The throttle didn't work well in my case; as soon I stepped the pedal, the car was over-accelerating all the time, resulting undriveable.

In addition, as the IA cars move away from my position, their body and wheels do strange graphic things; sudden changes in brightness and color, etc... It seems that the LODS are not very well made, not surprising knowing that ACTK "upgrades" are involved... 😗

Hey all,
Would anyone happen to have the prototype group C mods pack by @monza17 that were posted here a few years ago?
There's some cars in here that I'd really like to add to the collection, and the original link is dead. There's no other links available on the internet too it seems :(

Hello there :)
I'm looking for on/off visually the ABS button with a small light, but I didn't found out how to activate the light based on the ABS status
Is it something possible with the Light.ini? or I need to work on another file?

Thanks for your help !

I question his (ACTK) practices. However, in the past he made a lot more mistakes, but today hardly any, Hr_cockpit and other things that are forgotten by the modders, that are added later by him, which I think is great for most mods.

I got a few mods in better quality thanks to his help.

The way, is something else, but 99.9% of all mods aren't made from scratch anyway so it's just thought copyright, in my opinion.

For those you care about, i think he makes it a little better and help the community and it's completely ok for me, but if there's some kind of profit and greed behind it (except for the few cent or bucks from the sharehoster for downloads) it's wrong.

I don't know why but that reminds me of the time when I think back to the problems of GPL, when it was new, where at first only the software rendering mode worked for me (PII 400Mhz 128MB Ram ati rage pro "NO 128:indiff:") and only after a while did I have the better graphics card, and it was one of the first games afaik that had some so called modifications for it.

... (ACTK)... in the past he made a lot more mistakes, but today hardly any...
Well, I must be the most unlucky person in the world or my pc is mad at he... Practically the majority of the few of "his" mods that I have tried (and I have downloaded because they were not very usual cars that I would have liked to have, which they're no other options), have always ended up in the trash; if it hasn't been for poorly made LODS, it has been because the graphic quality of the original has dropped, or because they simply don't work well... like for instance, the last Ford Indigo. 🙄

... Try this 😂...

... Tell Jeremy to stop putting Vaseline on all of the cameras!...
Gang of hooligans! No one takes this forum seriously... And now, I add my advice...
