90s Super Tourers BOP Project v.0,95

Hi guys this is my 3rd attempt to BOP the well known and beloved 90s Super Tourers. I have driven several BTCC championship seasons and achieved good mixed up results with the following cars:
pm3dm_bmw_320i_stw
pm3dm_volvo_s40_btcc
pm3dm_nissan_primera_btcc

f302_renault_laguna_touringcar
f302_alfa_romeo_155_ts
f302_audi_a4_stw

vrc_erc_1999_fortix (paid)
vrc_erc_1999_vorax (paid)
vrc_erc_1999_gojira (paid)

bem_peugeot_406_stw_gen2

I recommend to drive either the pm3dm or the vrc cars, because they are much more challanging then the f302 and the peugeot. But as AI grid cars the f302 and peugeot cars are good enough.

DOWNLOAD: Readme with Ballast and restrictor settings for each car. Have fun and give me feedback.

IMPORTANT: The results may and will vary from one track to another. Depending on track characteristics

Showroom needed: https://www.patreon.com/posts/tav-moderna-0-2-67691247

Preview settings attached :) if you post some pictures, please give a short credit ;)

It looks really great, it's just very inconvenient, almost every car is out of perspective and has to be readjusted.
Conclusion:very beautiful, but long loading times and inconvenient if you want to do a lot of previews.

This error happened to me too. In my case it was due to the fact that the CM had completely filled the cache, saturating my SSD. I had to free up space in the temp folder manually to complete the job.
No, that´s not the right solution to solve it. Just tried that one, did not do the trick. The used showroom is some way too heavy for CM, but I don´t know where exactly, to adjust some settings.

Question for you guys. The day AC2 gets released will you pass to AC2 or stay in AC1?

At first everyone would say "AC2 obviously", but I feel AC1 has reached a level of content that AC2 will hardly achieve. Just like happens with rfactor 1 and 2. And the big modders like VRC, RSS, URD... will they pass to AC2 or keep developping mods for AC1? I dont't know. I'm just curious for your opinions

I’ll play both honestly. But probably AC1 more for awhile due to mods and moding that I do. For the big modding teams I wonder if they will be able to port the mods without any difficulty or make improvements.

Sorry to necro bump this, but if you are working on this F1 mod, is there a way to support on patreon or donate with paypal? This is a much needed season.
I have a paypal but if it's about the 1999 mod, better keep the money. I have begun that season but I am not 100% sure about being able to finish. Aside of physics which I would probably use Ponz 98 and tweak it, I need to find someone to do the engine sounds.

So if anything, you'll get some real news about 1999 mod after Christmas.

It depends on how easy AC2 is about modding. For me, I'll just port the mods I've done in assetto corsa over to 2.

I don't think AC2 will be anything like as open a platform as AC1 so I'll most likely stay with vintage content in AC1 then play both if there's some content that looks cohesive and I want to use in AC2. I mean, I also enjoy AMS2 for its 70s and 80s content and really looking forward to the new WRC game, and maybe Le Mans Ultimate in the short term too.

It’s hard to answer, there are a lot of unknowns here.
What kind of forceback will be in AC2, worse, better, or the same? (I think this is the most important thing) we don’t know.
what will the physics be like? Will they fix the collision physics and stupid AI? Old errors are not always corrected in new versions, so it’s difficult to answer your question before AC2 is released.

I frankly don't know. Other titles should also be released in the same year and I will only choose one.

So for many it will seem absurd, but I will take it into greater consideration if AC2 will be not moddable. With AC1 modding has reached very high peaks and features that we could only dream of have been introduced. It's all very nice, but in the end it starts to weigh on me. I would like to be able to have a title to start without anxiety of various kinds. Different versions of the same car/track, always having to fix something, updates that could break the settings you found after months... for me, who love motoring and all its categories, this is becoming difficult. Maybe I'm exaggerating, or it's just a small "simulative crisis", but for now this is my idea.

These are amazing, thank you so much!

Just been trying these through slowly over the weekend, and just noticed a couple historical inaccuracies:
  • Canada (using the 1988-1990 layout, rather than the 1991-1995 layout - only change is the tighter, more current final chicane came in 1991)
  • Silverstone (uses a hybrid layout based off 1997-2009 layout but bypassing the Abbey chicane, whereas the real layout (1991-1993) has a different Priory/Brooklands/Luffield completx
Thanks for letting me know.

I have tried to use the best sources available. I think it will be very difficult to fix.

Purchased additional steering wheel
I bought a steering wheel for a 1980s/1990s Formula.
CSL Steering Wheel Round 1 V2
I thought it was perfect for formula use because it was 27cm in diameter.
The CSL Steering Wheel R330 V2 that I purchased last time is used for classic car racing.
This month's allowance is completely gone.😜

I find it incredible, how salty people get about a car, no one's forcing them to buy.
Besides, like others have mentioned, this was announced before and it's a mere coincidence that two teams released the same car.
I honestly don't see the big deal there. Formula cars have also been made by several different teams, and I didn't see nearly as much crying about it, than with this car.

I might be biased though, because I also really like the RC-F

Hm.. I was of the assumption, that this was a thread about discussing Assetto Corsa mods..
Not to sound mean or anything, but this isn't really the right place for this "announcement"

Guys, I have a problem...
Hundreds of buildings, 4-5 textures per building.
In game the textures are too bright...
I would like to specify the ambient, diffuse, specular parameters at the same time in 3DSimED.
In other cases, there is a User Variables section, option.
In this case, it doesn't appear, I can't find it.
Maybe someone knows the solution? Thanks!
