Weird... The lights don't emit light but if I add the headlight covers in lights.ini, the covers will emit light on the track. Any idea? First mod doing this to me. (ACFL Chevy Stock Car)

Why do you remove Legion's credit on his cars that you post on your FB page? Is it because you don't want people to discover and download from his blog https://perendinator.blogspot.com/ directly? I assume so because that would mean less kopeks for you.

Because of this, you have other people claiming his work like with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class 2.5 V6.

Iam reaching out to you guys :) I wanted to try to fix the mirrors on a car. They are updside down. The easiest way to fix this? I have tried to import the .fbx file into 3DSMax then flipped it using UVWmap then I exported it as a .fbx file. Next I open the file in ksEditor (so I can convert it into a .kn5 file), but there all the textures are gone  what im I doing wrong here? All help are appriciated ;)

Just reload the missing textures in kseditor
go to materials, select the "offending" material, scroll down where the texture should be located and load it if it is missing.
Load it from the original mod... you fixed the uv so there should be no problems.
Cross check the shader settings with a car that has working mirrors.

The idea behind the name Legion is, 'I am Legion for we are many'. That is Myself, GzeroD, can not claim authorship of most of the work on the Blog.

I collect, collate and convert others work. Sure there is a lot of editing involved but in the end the Blog just represents what I have in my own collection, not so much 'releases' as just making my stuff available to others, because why not.

IP (imaginary property) is a FusterCluck and I would prefer to ignore it, you may notice that Legion doesn't give credits either*, some will consider this rude, so be it. But I've been feking about with this stuff for nigh on twenty years and, believe me, it makes no bloody difference.

*but will disavow credit when given mistakenly, which is to the quote above. The Merc is not my model, tweaks I did some, physics I did some, and used skins from a fellow member here. The Alfa is Kunos with a few parts hacked on to represent the later car, and the Opel is what's his name's.

You could say, instead of BY (insert name), perhaps VIA (insert name), or Compiled by (insert name) or something more suitable, which I can't think of just now.
The use of 'by' by Fakebook et al is very misleading, if not just plain wrong.

Well said. I just hate to see the actions of some possibly discourage modders from sharing their work. You never know what's ok and what isn't with the hyper sensitive AC modding community. I know most people don't care where the stuff is from, who made it, etc. but I do and i especially don't like when they try to make money from it. I know there's no point in fighting it but I do feel obligated to try to point it out here and there. Oh well, back to sim racing. I just reinstalled GTR 2. C Ya's

Perhaps this:

"Created by [name]" 100% original MOD
"Modded by [name]" NOT 100% original MOD
"Published by [name]:" IDENTICAL to an existing ORIGINAL or MOD

In case someone wants to use that car at night: Audi R15 TDI from not sure who... I guess RTM?

Fixed the LEDs and the display on the wheel so they emit light.

Its a great car to drive, thanks for fixing the lights
Yes, its an RTM sled. Another one that is pretty dang decent compared to the hatchet, butcher jobs of most.
Look close at the wheels in CM showroom, fresh off the CNC mill :D

edit: on second thought, it is from RTM but theres No way this is their own build, just a rip convert from somewhere - its far to nice. Their work looks like it was cut to fit with an exact-o blade.

You're welcome. I enjoy driving it on Spa and now with the lights, it's much more fun!

If you already have it, only swap the audi_r15tdi.kn5 (LEDs) and data.acd (Display when headlights are on) files.

For anyone who hasn't tried them, Legion's re-work of the DRM cars (plus the addition of the entire IMSA GTX class) is nothing short of stunning (https://perendinator.blogspot.com/2019/07/world-championship-for-makes.html).

The DRM physics transform many of the DRM cars from understeering pigs with bizarre breakaway characteristics into brilliantly-tossable, proper race cars. Remember to follow the instructions so Content Manager will use the Data folder and not the stock data.acd (otherwise they'll use the stock 1.2 DRM physics set).

A good/realistic race car should be constantly tempting you to over-drive it - not making you afraid at every corner that it's about to swap ends without warning. Well, the Legion team "gets" that apparently. Certainly, you'll still need to use good throttle control, but the cars all have a wonderful analog feel to them that makes you want to powerslide out of every corner - even when you know it's not the fastest way around the track.

Some of the GTX cars are unfinished, but right now they all great to drive. The Dekon Monza is possibly my favorite, though it doesn't have sound (just swap in your Big V8 sound of choice - I used the Velos Dekon Monza). The other highlight so far is the Div 1 (i.e. high powered) Lancia Montecarlo Turbo. That car is positively epic.

There was something I remember vaguely regarding writing the persistence file with the fbx archive.
I remember it had something to do when "normally" exporting the fbx file out of your software of choice the newly written persistence file is not understood by kseditor - you had to make sure to either use teh old persistence file (pointing to the correct textures) or use a particular procedure to not overwrite that persistence file.
IT is a Kunos editor thing and the need of a particular format of the persistence file that is apparently not to standard of all other fbx file compatibvle software standards.

Fantastic work on that IMSA Vettte ;) One tiny - head lights on, no tail lights. Brakes yes, none on the tail
Love the IMSA stuff, TY.

Here is a quick and dirty fix - the author forgot to add the missing line in teh brake light definition to have properly functioning driving tail lights.

Just swap this fixed lights.ini into the data folder and overwrite the old lights.ini that comes with the mod.
I did not weight the light levels, just a quick and dirty fix to have functionality.
rename the file to lights.ini obviously (the forum doesn't allow proper extensions).

lLegion mods are really well done but they have one main fault
Lot of them lacks of wipers animation and now with CSP/SOL you will need working wipers to drive in the rain too
That's a pity cause they are really good mods but they become unusable when it start to rain
