For anyone who hasn't tried them, Legion's re-work of the DRM cars (plus the addition of the entire IMSA GTX class) is nothing short of stunning (
https://perendinator.blogspot.com/2019/07/world-championship-for-makes.html).
The DRM physics transform many of the DRM cars from understeering pigs with bizarre breakaway characteristics into brilliantly-tossable, proper race cars. Remember to follow the instructions so Content Manager will use the Data folder and not the stock data.acd (otherwise they'll use the stock 1.2 DRM physics set).
A good/realistic race car should be constantly tempting you to over-drive it - not making you afraid at every corner that it's about to swap ends without warning. Well, the Legion team "gets" that apparently. Certainly, you'll still need to use good throttle control, but the cars all have a wonderful analog feel to them that makes you want to powerslide out of every corner - even when you know it's not the fastest way around the track.
Some of the GTX cars are unfinished, but right now they all great to
drive. The Dekon Monza is possibly my favorite, though it doesn't have sound (just swap in your Big V8 sound of choice - I used the Velos Dekon Monza). The other highlight so far is the Div 1 (i.e. high powered) Lancia Montecarlo Turbo. That car is positively
epic.
