The driver3d.ini is not the issue, the issue is the driver_skidlid.kn5.
When I change, driver_skidlid for driver_60 in the driver3d.ini, it works fine.
for VR, we need a headless driver, as to not see the head when driving. Of course we see the head in all other camera view and in the other cars.

The models to be culled are listed in driver3d.ini and I have changed those to match the model names within driver_skidlid.kn5. I can't be sure I'm matching names to culled objects as I don't have VR. By try again I meant redownload the .ini file as I have changed it since you first post.

sorry i still don't understand :/
In CM > content
- pick the car you want
- click UNPACK DATA (bottom of the window)

The data.acd is now still there but you have a new data folder, in which you can make changes.

After finishing, CM will take it's data from that folder. If all is OK, you can click PACK DATA, this will make a new data.acd (including changes you made)
CM will open a window asking you to confirm.
After that it's best to remove the data folder.
If both data and data.acd are there, CM will always give priority to the data folder.

thank you, now i understand. Appreciate your time!!

Another question, i find my lights not bright enough at night time on most cars, is there a option to turn them up or increase range in CSP

Thank you, everything works great.:cheers:

There's a couple of possibilities that work:
- BLM lights, click the headlights icon until you find the right intensity.
- or adjust via SOL config > page 3 > global CSP light multi %

Yes, would love to see the 720s make it to AC. Do you have an AIM Vasser Sullivan skin for the RCF? Missing for me along with the shank NSX ones.
I do have that it came with the reworked RCF that Delpinsky shared on Pg 381 of this thread and on Pg 383 Nico Moraes released the CAT 57 NSX skin. I just need a 720 and the AutoNation NSX skin and I'll have the full 2019 grid!

Sorry to say, its on you. I don't have any problems, others don't have any problems (and above, someone didn't have a problem with the 200mb blob file test). Why your browsers are erroring out is on your end, not a MEGA link.

Where do I see a chrome tab on your taskbar?! :odd: Its right next to the Firefox tab you have open in your screenshot.:dunce:

In fact, you only have two tabs open in your Firefox screenshot (gtplanet and mega) with MEGA and it shows its d/l'ing the file!

yeah it seems like @Barbe Rouge does not understand that it is downloading the file directly with MEGA, but that you have to wait some time.

Hopefully that's the answer. I would have shared a lot more mods here recently but the inevitable requests to upload them to another host were getting very tiresome.
;)

Thanks! .....and JACKPOT! I am new to this forum so I should probably spend the time to read through entire thread - only went back to p400 as I was brought here by the DPis. This is a real treasure trove for SP to set up full grids. Thanks to all for the incredible work and attention to detail.

Hello. I'm Arch, the creator of: https://www.racedepartment.com/down...a-supra-jza80-improved-physics-by-arch.28211/

The Supra posted on page 476 by Apexxer is using an unlicensed physics build by me, that I didn't give the permission for. However if I was simply *asked* I would have. There's almost no reason I won't give permission to port.
As I was credited, I don't mind too much, although I do ask, please, paste the original link also into the download site, so there's no confusion.
I looked at the car, and it seems none of my physics was changed, so it can stay up. Please link directly in the post and credit more clearly in the future though.

Aha - riddle solved. 'Uncle Dima' in Russian is 'дядя дима', which is Esprit3905's other alias.
So Arch did a few versions of дядя дима's Supra with different power outputs? Are the suspension setups the same for each version?
I thought дядя дима/Esprit3905/Uncle Dima's Supra was already excellent, so must give Arch's version a good thrashing. The first thing I noticed was the audio though - I much prefer the sound from дядя дима's original.

Hey,

No, incorrect. Completely. My car has *nothing* to do with Esprit's Supra. It uses some leftover generics from Kunos but otherwise everything including the entire suspension, engine, aerodynamics, most of the tires and so on is by me. The base for the suspension is a laser scan provided by Aad Hofman.
It's well made and I didn't reference another mod and it's *definitely* not just Esprit's Supra with some changes. This is something else entirely.

Like I said, please, if anyone wants to use any of my stuff in the future, just ask me. Message me on RD or something.

Genuine question so please don't take it the wrong way, but how old are you and do you drive in real life?

Reason being is games like Forza and GT have taught kids that driving is like being on ice with plastic wheels...

My family race cars hence why i am a girl in a mans world and any real driver who has never driven in a 'sim' has a go on ours they all say "where is the grip".....

It's getting better. like with rfactor 2 changing the tyre model to more grip and also iRacing ...

With the right set ups and a trick LSD you don't need proper throttle control though.... LSD is basically 'old fashioned' Traction control...

And i doubt this entry level Fiat racing from Argentina was known for having great drivers enter it?

My first track day car after I finished residency was a gutted/roll-caged EJ Civic with a swapped H22, a bunch of different RARBs, custom KW coilovers and a Quaife LSD. So yeah, I kind of understand how FWD LSDs and setups work. My car had a ton of torque and I can tell you that having an LSD doesn't let you re-write the laws of physics. If you didn't exercise throttle control mid and late-corner, the car would happily understeer itself to death until you backed off.

I have no idea about this little car or if it had the sort of power to do that, but in general with FWD's, if you're not maxing out the traction circle at all times - you're not trying hard enough. In other words, you should already be near the limit of adhesion on corner exit. Adding acceleration to that should induce a small (or large - that's where the throttle control comes into play) amount of understeer.

Also, I bet a lot of those Argentinian drivers are very good. They have a big racing tradition down there. Ever heard of a guy name Juan Manuel Fangio?

First, welcome to GT Planet.:) You might want to introduce yourself, as it would make it easier for us to understand who you are and why the modifications you bring to us are valuable.

an unlicensed physics
Please, I am curious, what is a "unlicensed physics"?

It uses some leftover generics from Kunos
Leftover generics? again curious, what do you mean by that?

the entire suspension, engine, aerodynamics, most of the tires and so on is by me
So, you alter .ini files in the data folders, congratulation. Where do you get your data from and why should we use your alterations?

Thank you in advance for the explanation and welcome again to our fun little community.

Hello, I already introduced myself. I'm the author to a physics mod for Kunos' Supra, and any others who would wish to use it if they ask me. I'm here because I was informed someone ripped my work without permission, and I read some misconceptions here so I decided to clear them up.

I don't think you understand. The mod on page 476 is *already* using my physics. The developers also alter the .ini files in the data folder: I don't get your point.

The data comes from:

Laserscan from Aad Hofman
Toyota manuals
Toyota PR publications
HKS
Best Motoring
And some stuff from forums.

I was generally lucky with this car and most of the data is reputable sources. All I really found from forums was some links to papers explaining the turbocharger and front lip operation and such things.

Leftover generics, stuff like:

[AUTO_SHIFTER]
UP=6800
DOWN=3500
SLIP_THRESHOLD=0.95
GAS_CUTOFF_TIME=0.300

and some values in the tires and drivetrain which are alright. I change load sensitivity, slip dropoff, camber sens, relaxation length, sometimes stiffness but most other minor things for which no one has any data for anyway are considered to be okay and can be left in as-is. Suspension is 100% by me, aero is 100% by me etc.

The Esprit Supra, I'm told, is largely using Kunos suspension: which we have collectively figured out to simply be *very* inaccurate. You know, via laserscanning and referencing to Toyota manuals to make sure it really does line up in the implementation. So in that way, it would make sense to use a properly implemented geometry.

Thank you, this comment, I quoted, resume the situation as far as I am concerned.
Thank you also for your reply, I think it make it clear who we are dealing with.
And welcome again to our cozy community.:gtpflag:
Ah, I see you haven't yet seen the truth. It's okay. I was thinking to tell you how it really is, but you won't take my word anyway. You can talk to almost every other AC physics modder if you don't trust me. :lol:

As an anecdote, the KS Supra has negative SAI. They tweaked it a bit after release to stop the steering from feeling so weird. Yeah...
