Just a heads up. If your as big a DTM fan as I am you should have the 2018 URD T5's. Beings the internal/external engine note/shifts sounds were lifeless to me, its been shelved for many months.

The grand wizard of sound mods, ACFAN, that brought you the nasty 2018 911RSR/URD (and many others) below will be doing a new sound mod for the T5's!
Finally someones doing an overhaul and it happens to be coming from the best (imo) in the game.

From F3 Classics Tracks

Hello racers, a new version (again) of Hockenheim load
1f642.png
:)
Most of changes at Ostkurve (there is a wall now, to destroy your car when loose brake point
1f642.png
:) ), new brake marker, more trees and optimized shadows, to help FPS. Hope you enjoy this new version
1f642.png
:)
go to www.f3classictracks.com and grab it

:)

Beautiful fun track with lots of detail, though it seems a little unoptimized in some areas and the grass has some pop in.

Great track to add for my Porsche Unleashed 2020 custom championships otherwise.

Thanks so much for looking at it. I guess the under-damping is what I'm (mis)interpreting as overly soft sidewalls (Hey, it's FFB - hard to sort out what you're experiencing at times).

How did KS miss something this basic (damper rates)? Surely they have that info direct from Nissan?
Developers don't really get much at all from OEMs. Let alone geometries or damper rates. For ACC, from what I understand, most/all(?) of the data comes from private persons.

Lotus supposedly is very cooperative, though.

Dunno, its your end. I just dl'd it and it took 40 seconds to finish.
And the 24mb down was climbing after I took the shot. So no idea.

It's very nicely modelled, but the thing that struck me when I drove the previous version of this car was how S-L-O-W it was. I guess it's the weight of all that time-travel hardware..?
The gear ratios felt a little weird too.

Just downloaded mine yesterday and it tooks quite a long time. :(
Didn´t knew that´s so slow for most of all others too. So I deleted download. After reading from all the others ones with download issues, I started redownloading it today morning again and reuploaded it to sharemods:

https://sharemods.com/8q8abp6fj731/EurAsian_Touringcars_Championship_16in1_for_AC_1.16.rar.html

Normaly my downloads are 5x faster then uploads. This time it was the opposite. ;)
Tested sharemods download and it tooks me only a few minutes. Hope that solves all your download issues. :)
Enjoy it.

Wow that is great to hear. @ACFAN really makes top content imo.
He is very passionate about AC. Normally I dont care that much about sound but the Radical GT3 and Toyota TS050 sounds are insane (maybe I am a little biased about these idk:D).
But I didnt know he worked with URD in the past.

I'm having a blast with the BTCC mod by Simdream.

I know they look not very well and have some sloppyness here and there, but what is the consensus (if there is any) about physics?
Maibe too much grip? Anyway they are fun cars to drive.
The cars are stolen from other modders.

At least in real life it was not known to be a fast car, in fact one of the 10 worst performance engines of all time with a whopping 130hp was tasked with lugging that sexy stainless steel body around. 0-100mph takes nearly half a minute and its top speed is only 10mph above that. So, I wouldn't expect too much from it. :dopey: (that's not to say the mod isn't wonky, but even if it were accurate it's not likely to make your trousers twitch)

A tip:
Take the Nissan Primera BTCC from Patrik Marek. There's a BTCC skin pack for the mod too, that will make the Nissan look like Audi, Ford, Renault etc...
You'll always be in the same car (but that's not that different from the Simdream mod), and you will have excellent physics and a great looking car.
10 x as much fun as these crappy looking SD's.

There are loads of other skins for the car too.

Interesting. Then I'm left wondering why they didn't simply reach out to various owner's forums and recruit IRL owners to give them feedback. The MP4/12C (which I've also driven IRL - once) and P1 (which I haven't!) also drive like "whales". IRL, the MP4/12C is razor-sharp, with zero detectable body roll and instant steering response. It's the automotive equivalent of a scalpel, and far sharper than even the full-blown track cars I drove in the 80's. But in-game, it feels softer than my wife's S-class.

I'm not that pedantic about these simulated cars, but good grief. It should drive something like the real one. Otherwise, what's the point of playing AC and not something a bit...better-looking? I'm of the opinion that every sim (AC and PC2 in particular) have some cars that are dumbed-down marketing gimmicks to appease the "casual" gamers who just want to drive a pretty car vs other cars that are designed for the "serious" simulator types. What's mystifying to me is that KS actually believed that AC would ever really appeal to the GT/Forza crowd.

In the end, I'm happy we have modders who have an obvious dedication to "getting it right".

The URD MB CLR LM (here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/c4m9kbxql27co9l/AC_urd_mercedes_clr_lm_0_95.rar/file)

with the useless left rear view mirror, has anyone got this one working ?
Or could one of the wizzards here perform some magic on it ? 💡

I compared the (working) right one with the left in Showroom and the materials and settings in ks editor, but I can't find a reason why it should not work (far from an expert here)...

Yes, of course I have the Nissan Primera BTCC from Patrik Marek, great great mod. Nice idea about the skin pack.

F1 2008 mod upgrade done, 22 helmets and visors skins reworked, i used some textures by Fabio Contier from an 2008 mod on automobilista found on RD, some other are made by me, all 22 cars shaders are fixed with new AO, Rain light added, some cars skins fixed also ( numbers, propers name driver on cars ), propers cameras set added too, ui, previews fixed and reworked, errors on .acd fixed, shadows fixed, .kn5 fixed ( physics match with 3d cars, red bull and toro rosso specially ) others adjustements and improvments in all cars...
Note : rim blur are disabled for the moment and are not fixed, glow disc issues not fixed because of bad objects used for discs for all cars...

Very nice, thank you, this is a grid for when racing with AI.

Actually, they do. I've got data myself from some of KS' sources. Hell, KS ripped my dampers from the original mod car for the R34 they made, so apparently that's a good enough source too.

The reason they don't do it right is because they can use anywhere from an afternoon to a week to make a car, and I suspect it's closer to an afternoon most of the time. I don't think Aris would make simple **** ups if he was paid to give a ****.

And also the utterly retarded fanboys who have 0 years, 0 months, 0 weeks and 0 days of physics dev experience who defend the above and spread complete misinformation like "devs get all of the data" or "devs use black magic that modders can't use" doesn't help. They can release almost anything and it'll be received well.

Heres a nice pack for the Nissan too

edit:

Anyone hit this and post results. Lets see what the d/l speed discussion is about. Because MEGA has always been blazing fast and thats where I and some u/l to but a few are having speed issues with mega.

Its a single 512mb test data block.
