No offense, but that thing above shouldn't even see the light of day. Even its polys are melted
Just sharing a setting for cm. Top left, this will sort all the cars that you've never driven, you may be shocked as you can see down the left side.
The cars that you have driven but still show up most likely either have capital letters in the folder name or the number of characters in the folder name exceed 32 both of which negates Content Manager keeping track of that cars progress for whatever reason.I'm not 100% sure this is correct.Mine at least, lists also cars that i have driven!
Going to be honest, I have no idea what you mean by CM presets.
I replied to your earlier post a few days ago with his contact details/FB page.Mascott since you posted this last week, do you or anyone else know if he has anymore work?

His 911 GT2 is damn fine, one of the best 'street' cars I've ever driven. tx
Exactly. I never get this moaning about "uses Kunos physics" when most stuff is so streamlined today, no coincidence the example you gave everything is from the same mother company, another example is the Audi and Lamborghini GT3 cars, also same mother company.
Or the Toyota Supra using basically a Z4 Engine.
And many suppliers nowadays probably provide a few stock options and maybe do something out of production for a hypercar for example
Content Manager allows to save the set of cars used as a preset that can be easily recalled and that can be shared

I agree to an extent but you guys are thinking about these copied physics in the best of cases. i went through and looked at many many mod cars and what im finding is not even remotely close trust me i was aware company's do some duplicates. i was a technician for 8 years. so you can imagine how many parts i've ordered for cars. and how many i've seen that use the same parts being its the same platform. the example picture i showed was a Mercedes using a BMW suspension and aerodynamics. a 2017 c63S using m4 aero and suspension?! they are not even close and that has never happened in real life.
We arnt playing need for speed here, this is supposed to be a Simulation. so copied physics is unacceptable for a simulation. You would never see that done on a kunos car. We are supposed to be doing our best to match kunos quality. if not then whats the point? we might as well be playing forza horizon or need for speed
The discrepancy's i'm talking about are a big deal. im talking about a Mercedes GTR gt4 car using the rear end of a Lotus 98T F1 car, im talking about a special edition 458 ferrari using the Aero and Suspension of a Nission GTR. you should see some of the horrible stuff im seeing. trust me i wouldn't be here complaining if i saw a Audi using a VW part on it, or vice versa. im talking Massive discrepancy's. And even when cars do use the same platform across their brands, they are not always the exact same fitment of suspension components. the older jeep compass and the Mitsubishi lancer shared the same GS platform for example. but they arnt going to feel the same driving them for that reason.
when the data says 100% match on that analyzer that means it is EXACTLY the same. that 2017 C63 S in my example is just a Reskinned 2014 M4.

You tell me if those look the same to you. to me those look very very different and indeed they are, we have all the tools necessary to attempt to make it correct. those tools should be utilized. lazy cars are lame cars.
LA Canyons v1.2 preview
Ok, so I also posted in Racedepartment about my model conversion questions for the Pagani Huayra and all I got was Gevatter and Fat Alfie telling me to screw off, so haven't gotten much help there of yet (wasn't really expecting any, even though there's quality mods there, the RD community is full of elitists imo). Even on the "official" 3DsimED I haven't gotten any response for the same problem. Looks like my only source of any help is either going to be here, or if I can somehow contact the guy who did all the other Shift 2 conversions. I'm sure "K E N N E T H" also knows a thing or two about conversions.
Still playing around with the material settings in 3DsimED but haven't come across anything yet that will make the body of the car opaque.
In other news, my key to get the full version of Content Manager came in the inbox today, so can't wait to start up some custom championships.
Pessio's Mini has been updated, and now contains 2k versions of the excellent skinpack.
Phenomenal fun racing in big packs around tracks like Watkins Glen.

Check the Depth Mode of those materials. I don't know what it is for but if Depth Mode is set to 'eNoZWrite' then you get those transparent textures.Anyone here have any experience with 3DsimED?...
Threw the weird transparent mess into CM Showroom....

Export to FBX and use kseditor to check.
