No offense, but that thing above shouldn't even see the light of day. Even its polys are melted :D

Just sharing a setting for cm. Top left, this will sort all the cars that you've never driven, you may be shocked as you can see down the left side. :embarrassed:

I tried that and it threw up errors in CM and so I just presumed they wouldn't work. Still, it got me looking into how to do paints and I kinda learned some new stuff so all good lol. This was quite helpful https://lucianpainedesign.blogspot.com/2019/10/carpaint-material-tutorial-part-1.html but as I say if I can just work out how to make it skin specific I'll be happy. Any ideas?

Ah yeah you need to rename the "nodamage.png" to "nodamage.dds" in their skins folder then they should work. Assettoland achieved it skin specific but via the skin's body, so there must be more than one way to do it. I don't have time to look into it at the minute but let me know if you suss it out!

Edit:

The link you posted states:

[Material_CarPaint_Metal] (select the effect you want to add)
Skins = default (paste the name of the desired skin-folder)

Do you not simply put in the name of the skin(s) you want to add the effect to?

driven<0.1

This is brilliant! For a few good reasons.
1. It shows firstly all the cars which I have driven but they have an issue with not showing 'mileage' for whatever reason.
2. It shows cars which i have downloaded for the sake of it and can now drive and see if i shall bin it...

And 3.

Well it SHOCKINGLY shows me that there are kunos cars I HAVE NEVER EVEN HAD A GO IN!!!

WTF??

I really should by now of driven every kunos car at least once... work to be done!!

The SHAME.

I have a problem now with my steering wheel, there was never a problem
before but now my steering wheel and in game are out of sync.

Any solutions? i never changed anything.

Found an interesting old mod. Can someone help make it work.
Or maybe someone will improve it?

Oh...that is more like a LMP from 2021. Maybe someone can make some vast improvements on that car.

I could probably look into it but i literally have no experience with modding except for creating lights for cars and sound mods.

Nice, I'd have never worked out about renaming the files lol. They don't have that mad chameleon effect though, it's a lot more subtle but maybe they just used one colour instead of two different ones like I did. And no worries, I'll be sure to shout you if I figure more things out.

For some reason that doesn't work for me so I must be doing something wrong. Maybe I need to rename the no_damage.png to dds and try again.

Nope that didn't work lol

no, but it was never a problem in AC before. maybe its a change in content manager? Steering wheel still not correct in game
Most common cause is that some games (like F1 2019) combine steering inputs. If you have a gamepad drifting right for example, your steering wheel won't center. I put hours into fixing this until I realized the cause :banghead:
As far as I know, AC doesn't combine wheel and gamepad inputs. Maybe try the wheel with another game to isolate the problem?

Im Making a LEGO track for the LEGO cars (of coure real cars are available) Any ideas was what to add to it?

That's proper mad lol. Just watched your track test video - maybe decrease the radius of some of your corners as they look a bit tight but this is the definition of a fantasy track for sure.

Amongst all this RTM drama I hope this post gets a few eyeballs.
I ran into an interesting AI quirk while trying to recreate the 1967 Lemans 24hour. I was driving the Ferrari 250 LM by Assettopedia against 35 AI opponents, one of which was AC Legends 1965 Ford Mustang (couldn't find a period Shelby Mustang 350 mod). So after a couple of laps I'm running down the Mulsanne at over 160 mph when I see something catching up to me in the far distance. A bit over halfway down the straight the 65 Mustang passes me. And then when I tug in behind to try to get an aero pull in order to re-pass, I could not keep up with it at over 162 mph? What the hell?!
So later I jump in the Mustang for a practice lap with the base steup and gearing and it can't go faster than 144 mph and that was well over its redline.
Any clues on why something like could occur? Does the AI just ignore gearing and horsepower figures?

Taking a break from the ongoing crapstorm in the topic, allow me to turn back a bit with a new WIP picture.

Artwork behind the rear wheelarch is done (colors and shaping are finished), matching up the shapes on the door panel with the side skirts require a bit more work, but certainly getting there slowly (those separted panels are definitely dishing out challenges one after another).

so somehow my 900 degree wheel is a 540 degree wheel now
i barely drive roadcars or would do weird parking maneuvers but still weird.
So center (zero) point of the wheel aligns with the game?
1. Look for your wheel's profile in its software. For Logitech, you can lock the wheel to different degrees. Make sure the wheel is not locked to 540 degrees.
2. Make sure this is checked:

Is Chivas an open group or do you need to join the group for downloads?
