I do what Masscot does, only skipping the re-naming kn5's; I've found that's not necessary, and the "new" car works fine without that step.

Thank you sir! I am perceiving approx. 20 simpler Steps with your method.... isn't unpacking the data.acd required as FIRST STEP before you copy the entire folder? Otherwise the lods.ini is that weird garbled text when you try to open as a newly named file? Thanks for all you do for the modding community. Feel free to PM me if you so desire. 👍
 
I've copied plenty of Kunos cars to BoP to run in different groups while keeping the original content. I've only just had to replace the sound with the original via Content Manager and I didn't rename any kn5's and they work fine. I'm not sure if that's fool proof though.

Guys. I threw all the layouts of the Mondelo track into one folder and got a working version of the track with three layouts. If someone understands me more, let him correct and remove the superfluous or add the right one, I'm not a pro in this. Everything works, I checked. Layouts - full, national and reverse.

I'll give that a look tomorrow night after I finish making AI lines for an upcoming track release by some one, er, no one, uh, who knows. nod nod wink wink, say no more
 
Hi. I've downloaded the Rollovers Endurance Pack 5, and I am really enjoying driving the LMP2s so far. However, I have a minor problem with one of the cars, specifically the Dallara P217. When steering, the driver's hands follow the wheel, but when at full lock, the hands will suddenly snap to a different position. Does anyone know what's going on, and how I can solve this particular issue?
 
Just had a conversation with X4fab (Ilja) and really, he is not only a very kind person, he is a genius. So if you want to have CrewChief automatically started when launching CM, just do the following:

1. go into CrewChief properties and set "run immediately" (disabled by default)

2. go to CM settings --> Content Manager --> Drive --> AC related events and enter the following command exactly like this: start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Britton IT Ltd\CrewChiefV4\CrewChiefV4.exe" (enter your correct path of course!)

You can even do it that 2 or more apps will start, so just separate them with an &. I have it now like this: start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Britton IT Ltd\CrewChiefV4\CrewChiefV4.exe" & start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\opentrack\opentrack.exe"

The " are crucial and mandatory. Otherwise you get error messages. If you get one, something has been done wrong.

I spent 30 minutes with car tuner but could not find that elusive "one click" button. Would you provide a screenshot where it's at? :dunce: Thank you sir!

That seems... unnecessarily complicated..?
What's wrong with:
  1. copy the full car folder
  2. rename the new folder with the new car name
  3. copy this new folder name
  4. rename all KN5s with the old name to this new folder name
  5. go into the data folder, LODS.ini and rename the car to this new folder name
  6. copy the sound from old car to new car using CM's 'replace sound' button

Steps 3, 4 and 5 are not needed. Tracks must have a correspondingly named .kn5 even if it is just a dummy file.

Reordered procedure

1. Unpack the car with CM first.
2. Copypasta the full car folder.
3. Rename the new folder with the new car name.
4. Delete data.acd
5. Open car.ini, found inside data folder, and give the car a new name. This is so ingame your car has a different name to the donor car.
6. Copy the sound from old car to new car using CM's 'replace sound' button
7. Rename and such the UI file using CM.

After an unbelievable 488 pista pack from Beto, we got today Camaro GT4, Mustang GT4 and Aston Martin Gt4 from Guerilla Mods (to go with Cayman, Mercedes and BMW, KTM and 570s to follow soon), Assetto Corsa Racer released a phenomenal update for Peugeot 207 time attack mod. And if that is not enough Dan Busca will release Audi 90 IMSA GTO this weekend.... Yes, all plans I had for the weekend have been canceled. It's gonna be just me and my t300. :)

How do we get our hands on the GT4 pack? For those of us who are banned from Guerilla's facebook group for no reason. I don't see the pack on Rollovers' website.

Here is a heavily optimized Sonoma, originally from Track Reboot, that yields an extra 20+fps, 40 pits with VAO. So ditch your old one with more gooder frames :D

Edit: CSP v0.1.48 is out too.
• PBR shaders not loading proper textures fixed; • Shader replacement section will be skipped if any texture is missing; • Object Inspector app updated, few UI tweaks and new option for setting poly area for custom emissives; • Refracting headlights: option to mirror third bulb, mirroring of fourth is now optional as well; • New ksPerPixelMultiMap_AT_emissive shader: the same as ksPerPixelMultiMap_emissive, just as a fix for ksEditor losing alpha-test flag.

There is a lot of bad blood between the FB groups. Difficult to understand. I guess they assume everyone is there to steal their stuff.
 
Any idea on these GTP mods?

All, ran into an issue with the Acura DPi and the Mazda DPi. Acura - side mirrors are white (real mirrors) or blue (real mirrors off which I normally use). Mazda - rear lights and braking lights do not work. Easy fix?

maybe it works for you too... i made a new acc with profile pic etc. and got into the group
 
So if you have to put a FLIP=1 in a car cfg within the Documents/Assetto Corsa folder to flip the mirrors, where do you do it for the car?
I assume you have to unpack the kn5 and do something in there?
 
Here's a question for the folks with bigger brains than mine...

Is there any way to get functioning pits at a track that doesn't have them, without 3DSmax ? I've just spent some laps driving Gilles75 Carrieres de Beez 1960's track, and yes, visually it's a bit dated, but it's a blast to drive. But the lack of properly functioning pits is a real pain... Could simply editing the surfaces.ini possibly fix it ? Any advice will be greatly appreciated :)
