Believe me, I wish I could use Sol. Haven't tried 1.5, but on 1.4 my FPS drops into the teens, or low twenties if I'm lucky. PP at all is pretty much a no-go for me. I'm just lucky to be able to play at all, to be honest :D

Patience to use every possibility (Mods Cars, tracks, layout, skins, Mod sound, version Sol, version CSP, preset reshade RT, preset Sol, etc.)

In order to get the an aproximation to rain physics what do you think about setting in CM track conditions:

Initial grip: 85%
Grip Transfer: 0%
Grip randomization: 2%

I tried those values and saved them as a preset. Is not very bad if you put rain in Sol.

Id wait for dynamic shader rain, anything could be around the big round corner. ;)

Hey lads, does anyone know what graphics mods/PP filters did he use other than Sol to achieve this look?

Also, what mod is responsible for those camera angles? :drool:
In the comments they state that they use A3PP

Also, does anybody know where to find a full GT3-spec Viper GT3-R?

I respect that there may be a language barrier, but I don’t think that affects intention. Are you trying to:
  • Help Patrick Ellis? Or...
  • Increase views of your videos to become a professional youtuber? (These same 4 videos are uploaded in the video thread.)
:odd:

I will make a spreadsheet or a tiny thing to centralyse my cars.
You do an awesome job to make this, maybe apexxer work could be added?

Thank you @Marneus_boss spread sheet would be good, I will add to main mod post and everyone can easily find and enjoy mods you spend time crafting.

I speak with @PepperoniAC24 about same thing yesterday so all his work show in 1 direct link, and I link to it.

I also added @delpinsky to MOD post as he give me link to encrypted zip to some of his reworked mods. This is great way for users to try his mods he spend time creating.

And I add all amazing cars by @Zin5ki as his IMSA car mods incredible.

A few days ago I try to add apexxer and give him own section, but when I search him I see he already remove all his content and leave site.

Is a shame to see when a modder spend his time creating a work of art, share it with community, only for a few to appreciate it, because it was missed and got lost in the noise.

Some users also not share, advertise or tell others about such mods, they even stop others using it by elitist - gatekeeper mentality and don’t help share “modders” work, they say find it yourself etc. this is not help to modder or community, just poisen the well for everyone.

For me is not about being elitist or lazy or not willing to do work, is just about availability - visibility or the artists work.

I search posts day by day and add new links and updates of modders to main mod post, i will make post more attractive and format better when I get everyone on mod page visibility they deserve. Then I add more pictures and videos too.

Modders are heartbeat of AC, they keep game alive. I don’t know best way to thank them all, so i decide to organise mod post to bring just 1 more person to see the work of art they spend they time creating and sharing with us.

I think this is my way to say thank you, and show appreciation for work they do.

Boo has said in the past his pc barely keeps up, yet this somehow doesn't effect his. :D But it was only said after I mentioned mashed potato's of course :D
What kind of settings and GPU/CPU you got that this doesn't effect anything? Or 'barely'

But Sol 1.5 is a beauty

I may have taken your comment about mashed potato personally and then stopped to think about the consequences of starting an argument with you so I edited it as I really can't be bothered thank you very much. And yes I have indeed said that my potato barely keeps up...but then I tweaked a few settings and now it throws up 60 fps or more depending on how well optimised the track is and how many cars I have in a grid etc and i managed to still get 60fps at Luccaring with the 3d clouds on. And they do look a lot better in this latest version :)

Do not think ... It can hurt your head

Wow, that's beautiful work! Of course, use the new pits in your version, and please think about finishing it sometime. Like you said, it's a "little old gem" :)
Oh sorry, shame on me. I forgot to explain how to use the config. And I posted the new one (WIP) that maybe cause trouble. :scared: :boggled:
Maybe renaming my WIP config could work, as I worked on gilles75 version too.
But to be safe, here the old config @leBluem and I worked on last year. This one should work without probs with your posted version or the original one from gilles75 on RD: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/carrieres-de-beez-1-0.21481/

It´s the config that mainly generates the nice lights at night. Extract it to ..\assettocorsa\extension\config\tracks\beez.ini
Hope you enjoy it until not a better version apears. :D

@slider666 can you share it please?
Sure, I hate just posting some nice pictures and don´t post the stuff that generates them, like wag a carrot in front of one's face. :D
I thought someone answers my question if it´s still to dark or could be even brighter. Still waiting... :dopey:
But you don't have to wait anymore... :lol:

Put this in the existing extension\ext_config.ini just at the end:
Code:
[MATERIAL_ADJUSTMENT_10]
ACTIVE = 1
DESCRIPTION = groove less reflective
MATERIALS = SKIDAFIXNEW
KEY_0 = ksAmbient
VALUE_0 = 0.4
KEY_1 = ksDiffuse
VALUE_1 = 0.3
KEY_2 = ksSpecular
VALUE_2 = 0.25
KEY_3 = ksSpecularEXP
VALUE_3 = 100.0

KEY_0 = ksAmbient
VALUE_0 = 0.25
KEY_1 = ksDiffuse
VALUE_1 = 0.15
KEY_2 = ksSpecular
VALUE_2 = 0.25

KEY_1 = ksDiffuse
VALUE_1 = 0.175
KEY_2 = ksSpecular
VALUE_2 = 0.25
KEY_3 = ksSpecularEXP
VALUE_3 = 100.0

[MODEL_REPLACEMENT_0]
ACTIVE = 1
DESCRIPTION = replace crazy flying marshalls
FILE = sonoma.kn5
HIDE = marshalls x3_007

And to make it complete put this in every models ini just after the block [MODEL_7]:
Code:
[MODEL_8]
FILE=marshalls_on_tower.kn5
POSITION=0,0,0
ROTATION=0,0,0

Don´t forget to extract this zip file into track folder to get corect placed marshalls on that stand. :D
Hope you enjoy it! :cool:

Edit: I completed the code for the yellow lines too, for your convenience. ;)

PS.: A quick´n´easy way to get rid of these "flooding" @Masscot mentioned, just rename the groove.kn5 to something else, but you loose skidmarks and groove too. You been warned. To get em back, rename it back to groove.kn5

I have tweaked the physics to match the Kunos version and having a good base.
Redid 4 skins to match again with the reality, according to pictures

Lot of material reworking, including addition of normal Map, Shadow Map
New Lights and working lightsbrake lights, new driver to have the Kunos 60's one.

It's quite comparable to the kunos one ingame.
I have included in it a template much more easy to use.
It's not a big deal but always enjoyable to have some nice eye looking cars

Have fun!

Any comments are welcome, as well any improvments if you post for all
If you have any idea for futur cars to update I'm welcome

Thank you for this and for providing a template as a bonus :cheers:

Thanks very much @slider666 - kerbs look great now and the marshalls are back in their box. The brown lines are still brown though - could these be made yellow again with a similar config? (must admit, I thought you were going to include these with the kerbs so I didn't mention them before)

Yeah, sorry. I was so "shocked" of these flying marshalls and it take a lot of time and work to extract them and work out how to get them back on the right place without hijacking Fuzo´s work, that I completely forgot this yellow line. :scared: :dopey:

So here a new small piece of code to get at the end of mentioned config:
Code:
[MATERIAL_ADJUSTMENT_12]
ACTIVE = 1
DESCRIPTION = yellow line less reflective and brighter
MATERIALS = YELLOWLINESNEW
KEY_0 = ksAmbient
VALUE_0 = 0.275
KEY_1 = ksDiffuse
VALUE_1 = 0.175
KEY_2 = ksSpecular
VALUE_2 = 0.25
KEY_3 = ksSpecularEXP
VALUE_3 = 100.0

and you should get this:
upload_2020-3-8_15-52-19.png

Have I forgot something more? Fuzo should be supposed to fix it, not me, but okay. :odd: :D

Edit: Code added in first post too, so you can just copy´n´paste all together.
Edit2: Indeed I forgot something ot better not seen before, while no time to drive the track, lol. Added in section [MATERIAL_ADJUSTMENT_11] missed "RMBLC" for a small curb in second row. Sorry, for all this small updates ... :(

Thanks Slider.

You mean it should be darker again? :odd:
I made them on par with these tyres, but yapp easy to make them darker again. But this was the reason I asked first if it´s to bright ... and nobody gaved an answer. :boggled:

Does anyone ever experiencing AC won't start and stuck at loading metadata 100% ?
In my case, it happened after installing Forceful Porsche GT2RS MR or Geroda74 free mods.

Some info:
1. I can start AC with CM (1.48 and previous version) but not from Steam.
2. Uninstalled the "problem mod" and things get back to normal.
3. I've been exhausting steam, google and youtube for answers with no success.
4. There is no error log in documents/log folder, only launcher, launcher_controllers and launcher_logs. With my limited knowledge, I couldn't find what might be the cause of the problem in these three log files.
This is the "launcher.log":
