Hi, I have arrived to this forum in the insane exercise of trying to collect all possible content from F1 1988 to 2008 or so when I started lossing interest in the sport.

I would like to have those mods reuploaded.

I would also like to know what would you consider the must have content from F1 88 to 08 both tracks and cars. Im trying to get everything setup. There's still a good month of quarentine to go. Im stuck in my house, so why not race all day. I just need to get all the stuff installed. So far I have ASR free stuff, VRC free stuff, the Sim Dream 1993 one, got some random tracks i've found around...

I also want to have everything setup for when I buy a Valve Index or a Reverb G2 if worth it. On the next pandemic incident I want to have the VR headset bought...

edit: I also got whatever F1 cars were included in the official packs except the red one which I didnt buy yet.

Many thanks, I was looking for the Nordschleife without tires for a long time, but I still have a question about replay cameras on the reverse? and it is possible to add pylons to the short connection ? would be very happy

Ignore daans recommendation and do not buy anything from SimDream. They are not a legitimate business, their unauthorized conversions are being sold for profit.
Nigh on all their content is available for free, via various methods. Although not linking to said content here seems to be of such importance that even the thread title has quite annoyingly been changed to ram that down our throats every time we visit this thread.

Much of the content has also been polished by others, many by members here (albeit some of the mods began as turds, which the proverbial polishing of often serves little purpose).
 
@norms thanks for your croft ini. Just for my better understanding: when I place your extension config into the croft track folder in a separate extension folder, CM treats this one with more priority than the croft.ini I have in extension\config\tracks\loaded folder? or should I delete it there?

It takes priority over the croft.ini. AFAIR though, they used to get combined if say one config had grass and the other lights. I don't know if this is true anymore so will need further investigation. I'll get back to you.

EDIT:

My croft.ini file only has (located "assettocorsa\extension\config\tracks\loaded\":

[LIGHTING]
LIT_MULT = 1

Fired up the track with my grass config in extension and the ini file still in place. Switch to night time turn headlights on and change the above figure to 0.1, headlights go very dim. Grass still works. So yeah, they are still combining, safe to just leave the ini file as is 👍

So you had new grass already? That config looks like the croft_sp track and should be croft_sp.ini and not the one my config is for?
 
I also have a croft_sp.ini but the croft.ini was updated by CM on 10.04. with exactly the same values like the croft_sp.ini since I raced on Croft yesterday due to the billboard update. A coincidence? And there wasn´t grassfx yet. Weird.

@PepperoniAC24 you see the wrong Audi ad at the entry of the pit? Maybe you want to fix it?

To the experts here, is it possible to make the grassfx grass a little bit more greener or darker? I don´t like the current colour, should be more green.

@NeilB1971 This car pack is awesome!!! But i have an question: In the grid preset for Le Mans 2015 there is a Ligier JS P2. Which one is it because i have no clue. Could you please give me a link or some helpful information to guide me into the right direction?

I´ve made a grassfx config for acu_hungaroring. We have the great billboards from @PepperoniAC24 and now also grassfx.

Rename the .txt file to .ini. and put it into your extension\config\tracks\loaded folder and overwrite it. It is based on the existing config from github and I only added the grassfx.

I see it, cannot miss it :)
And i know it, like said in the overview and like said the version number, it's a really early WIP, like I said in the overview, I upload it because I got it from lot a time, I have fun with it unsteed of the imperfections and tought to myself, may be i could share it with other despite the fact it's in an early stage, perhaps some others could have fun with it.

Just a personal preference, when i point something wrong or something i think is not my taste or i think do not work, i'm always do it with discretion, by personal mail not in front of everyone, it's true also in real life, never say something to someone in front of his colleague but in my office, the person is more inclined to listen to it and by this way I do not smash his ego, and we got all an ego altough it's an illusion.

In fact, there is no problem, but i prefer that you say that to me in private because sometime, like some sentient being, i can have my mood :)

Actually, i work on BTCC skin for all english tracks but soon i will come back to hungaroring with some improvements (the audi logo that you point and other ones i m not satisfied with, the billboard with the clock, give a patina and finish to billboard, season change)

Another thing, first thing first, i'm someone who really enjoy AC and i really love to do championship (Australian V8 supercars, DTM, BTCC, Nascar, Indycar, blancpain GT3, intercontinantal, america etc) but i do not like to race a dtm race on a track with F1 billboard, so I change that, then I say to myself, this communauty give somuch to me, what should i give, i cannot do anything, oh, wait a moment, perhaps i could this little billboard skin without pretention, may be someone else, like myself could have fun with it, that it ;)

Fair enough, you'd prefer to be told of any bugs or what not in private. But as you have just stated, everyone has personal preference, don't get in a mood just because someone has pointed out a discrepancy in your skin in a public forum, we all make mistakes. The length of your response says a lot. It was likely that @Fall Guy didn't even consider this and just thought to inform you while he was on the topic and meant no offence. On the plus side, it was positive criticism, we already have enough people flying off the handle at the hint of any criticism. Also don't take this post negatively, in these times, let's all just try to get along it really isn't that hard? :lol:👍

I do not understand why you are grafted on it.
Do not make me say what I did not say, I think that my attitude is on the contrary positive.
I keep in mind that every person who comes to this page has a life next door and has their own personal problems and that they come here to change their minds not to have to deal with additional problems.
I know myself and know my limits, I prefer to define them, to avoid overload.
I think I said it in a way that was understandable.
Last week when I had to manage my father who was going to die, my business that I can no longer open so no more money but charges to pay and only losses, my two children, my mother alone at 1000 km in distress, at the same time, I had to manage the whole story around Zolder, the brightness stories of my screenshots and so on, something basically related to entertainment that ultimately no longer has one so rather than annoy me I prefer to take the front and say where my limits are, I think that there is no aggression in there and that that makes the reports healthier and more positive and it is something that I do myself for others.
 
The recent extra features like exhaust smoke and hot brake smoke add even more immersion and then I had to laugh very hard when this Range Rover passed me. Did (s)he fuel red diesel in stead of unleaded 95 and do you think (s)he stopped? No way just kept driving:D

BTW I drove the classic Ford and this Range Rover is AI. Is it random or a setting?
