On another note: I have tried the custom shader pack and to me it looks exaggerated brightness wise. Is this normal?

All settings are maxed out at least in asseto, I didnt tweak the custom shaders. Should I tweak anything to make it look better? or this is how it should look?

To me it just looks like some sort of exaggerated HDR but not proper HDR, or something like that.

I would also like to ask something: Can custom content of asseto corsa contain viruses, exploits etc? Because im downloading stuff posted by random people all over the internet so im not sure about that.

@Beezer215 it's a paid mod, ok i get it but what i did is creating a car using bits from the pay mod itself; that's Legion levels of rework (kinda)
Legion doesn't post his stuff of RD for that very reason, because RD are pretty strict about their ToS. I imagine it won't be long before the complaints start arriving.

even because on touringcarracing.net it says that the K2 has 5 gears whilst the real one have only 4. the "K2.5" is like my perfect group 5 porsche and also any petrolhead's
Hey, I'm not the police around here. ;)
I happen to be working on this DRM pack myself right now updating the tires and little bits and pieces to make them a tad more controllable, that's how I noticed.

Depending on what PP Filter you're using, you've just opened up a whole "pandora's box" of options you'll be getting comfortable with. Yes, more than likely you will be tweaking settings hither thither and yon.

Ignore daans recommendation and do not buy anything from SimDream. They are not a legitimate business, their unauthorized conversions are being sold for profit.
Nigh on all their content is available for free, via various methods. Although not linking to said content here seems to be of such importance that even the thread title has quite annoyingly been changed to ram that down our throats every time we visit this thread.

Much of the content has also been polished by others, many by members here (albeit some of the mods began as turds, which the proverbial polishing of often serves little purpose).
I'm not recommending anything. The thread title was changed as people kept asking. It still doesn't seem to be getting though. If you are annoyed by our rules, feel free to start your own forum.

I've read these guys are scammers repacking stuff and putting a price tag on it. Is this true?
I don't know.

You asked for sim dream mods. That's where you get sim dream mods. If they're that bad, why do folk continuously ask for them?

If you want them, pay for them. If you don't, don't. Why is this so difficult to understand?

I'm sure there are plenty of places on the web that would enable you to find paid mods. That place is not here.

I have to agree that the thread title is a bit of an embarrassment. The regular members here were policing any pay mod requests quite nicely and continue to do so. New members will soon get the message. And as you say above, the change in thread title hasn't achieved anything except patronise the core members here who contribute responsibly to the thread.
I request that it gets changed back to its original title so we don't feel like we are back in school and being constantly put on the naughty step.

Plus, it seems you genuinely don't know but Sim Dream are widely known in the modding scene to be scammers who half-ass stolen content and sell it to unsuspecting punters. I'd like to think this thread would never encourage users to support thieves and rip-off merchants like that.

And a similar question about water. In the second video, Ilya shows beautiful water. Is it possible to do this any mods?

If you mean other mod tracks (I think you do) then yes, with the right water. Had to look back a few months-

edit: and what Mascott said above isn't an opinion of SimDream, its a fact.
This "Razzy" mod 'team' comes to mind as well. Wonder why they didn't post their hot mess here.

With 0.1.51 and 0.1.52, is anyone else getting flipped real mirrors on cars that used to be fine in patch 0.1.46 (the last 'recommended' patch)?
Latest patch notes seem to indicate that it was an error with 0.1.51 but should now be fixed in 0.1.52, but nothing seems to have changed ("Mirrors normalization fixed")

The book has arrived:
49762155816_41fc51c81f_k.jpg

Based upon the reference pictures I have done a number of corrections and added a couple of new elements:
- trashed the whole middle section of the paintjob and reworked all shapes there, also went for a few fixes on the front and the rear fenders (in overall it is much more accurate and gives a nice, harmonic flow to the green shapes throughout the whole bodywork)
- the green shapes received their white outline
- added white spot right before the door
- recreated all Martini, Good Year and Bosch logos from the ground up
- finished the Martini International Racing Team text and logos on the back, plus added the Porsche logo there
- finally found a way to display the Bosch and Good Year logos on the sides in an acceptable quality and shape (it is never going to be perfect for the Bosch logo, texture distortion is extreme around the whole area, which made the process a vicious circle of try-fail-repeat and this was the best result so far)
- added yellow tint to side windows
- reworked the black color on the engine cover
- reworked the wood texture for the shifter knob to better match the look of the original material

To summarize, left side is 90% ready, only a few smaller issues left to fix until I can transfer the shapes to the right side as well, then I will return to the interior for one last double checking and color matching, so if all goes well release should be a real objective for this month.

Yes, I got that. I just deleted the mirror's extension lines and it all went well.

Done.

Now I've got a suggestion for everyone. This massive thread is a bit unwieldy for everyone. I think it'd be better if every mod, and question, settings, etc, was put in its own thread. In my opinion this would make them much easier to find than searching through nearly 1000 pages of this thread to find something. Putting everything in here also means that questions get missed and the asker can get annoyed at seemingly being ignored.

I would even go so far as to suggest that a specific AC mods forum wouldn't be out of the question but we would need to ask @Jordan for that.

What do you all think?

Not so sure. This thread is like a live feed of whats new and up to date for ac. Splitting up into individual threads would lose that

Well, I'm not a fan of multiplying my attention on many forum sections, and I'll try to explain why. While this forum is something of a big whale, kind of unfriendly to newcomers, and requires constantly staying up to date, I still find it more comfortable this way, rather tan divided in sections, which I would eventually find overwhelming. This is quite an active community, and say, 4 forum sections, would mean 4 rather large conversation threads.
Thanks for asking our opinion!

Nah, it seems RD have stopped giving a **** about people posting stuff like that or rips on their site. Often some mods will stay up for days before removal. You can never complain though cause RD mods are always all high and mighty and can't take criticism at all.

Is it possible to have a pinned post of different mod links? That would be useful for a lot of people.

Thanks for the title revert. We'll do our best to self-police it.
I'm against fragmenting this thread - I prefer the simplicity of a one-stop shop. The search function works perfectly well if people can be bothered to use it, and searching across multiple threads is even harder. I think the only people who get ignored here are brand new members who sign up to rudely demand a link to an old mod that they could probably Google. This thread isn't meant as a mods database, it's more about the here and now, finding, creating and discussing new (and upcoming) content. That one numbskull caused chaos for a while by reuploading old mods to generate Sharemods hits, but he soon got the message. New joiners seem to think it should have an index of every mod ever mentioned in it, but there are plenty of other websites for that.
Somebody was going to start a thread listing content created solely by GTP members but I don't know if anything ever came of it - this is the only thread I visit at GTP.
Just my thoughts on the matter.

I agree that the sheer size of this forum/thread has made it unwieldy and often difficult to find information on a question or topic that's only aged a few days. I don't know the best solution and I don't know if your forum software has the ability to form conversation threads as in Outlook e-mail software but perhaps something like that?

Because if they riped off good content (like the CART mod from rFactor 1 mentioned here for instance) then it will be good.

I like the new title, AC/PC mod general discussion

I agree with other users here and say please leave this just the way it is. I actually find this place much easier to use than say discord where a million different conversations can go on at once and no one (well me) knows what is where and who is replying to who. This place is clearer and easier to keep track of everything and whilst things do occasionally get buried, on the whole it is far easier to know what is going on and who is speaking to who. Also the search function actually works really well and I have no problem using it and finding what I need to find.
It might sometimes go off on a direction where we get a few pages of crap but usually a few words from a regular member brings it back round again.

Thanks for the title change though

Did anyone participate in the Dallara Stradale E-sport Championship?https://esports.dallara.it/leaderboard/
I had just done the first qualifying at Imola and only manage to do a 1:49:114
Very eager to know how to squeeze those extra seconds, since I saw on the leaderboard that people can do 1:44/45
I'm in it. 1:46:04. I hope to be able to reach 45:7, that's my theorical best lap, but it would be hard to go lower than that without an appropriate setup (mine is almost stock now, just pressures and a couple of clicks of toe/camber)

Damn, I only drove that Dallara Stradale this week...

EDIT : under 45 are pro
oh, and @xezez donated too, but only tested offline

I'll chime in to say I agree with everyone else's sentiments on the forum matter. As with @Masscot, this is literally the only thread I'm here for, like a live feed of the latest and greatest content our community as a whole puts out. I lurk more than I post, and sometimes I may end up a few pages behind. But that's okay. I'll just make a coffee and get caught up on everything I've missed. This single thread is basically my one-stop-shop for AC mods. I use the search function when there's something specific I'm looking for. I'll use the Like button as my way of saying thanks when someone posts a mod that I like. I think this thread in it's current form is good enough.

Nah, it seems RD have stopped giving a **** about people posting stuff like that or rips on their site. Often some mods will stay up for days before removal. You can never complain though cause RD mods are always all high and mighty and can't take criticism at all.

Dude, just stop with RD already. And you'd be wrong. I only have to give one recent example: The URD DTM's posted by Razzy morons claiming its different, RD had it removed in about an hour. So, done with that.

@daan I don't think its a good idea to fragment this thread into various sub forums. This thread, by itself, serves its purpose fine imo. If people are to daft to understand theres one thread, and one rule here then its not hard to show them the door. There are many 'return' posters acting new and requesting paid stuff I can assure you. Then playing the victim of course.

The only reason these talks come up is because of handful of idiots coming here, not getting a 'feel' for the place or you know, how its kinda ran, and just start dropping requests for $$ mods.
Just boot their a**'s, dont even warn them. If their feeling are hurt, to bad. Nobody walks into someones house they don't know and starts making requests and demands. Why is it any different coming here.

the end
-btw, pr0jectnr56, your 917 is looking awesome.

When you find the secret of how to cut off those extra seconds, please let me know! But you should also know, the guy at the top of the leaderboard is already a well-known eSports champ who's won lots of serious competitions – and he's actually a cyborg underneath the skin. His time is just... incomprehensible. And it makes me feel very inadequate too. :(

Today, I will rise to the challenge again... until I get properly depressed about it and give up while blaming my laptime on my equipment. :P

EDIT: I've just discovered that I'm several centimetres taller than all the faster drivers on the leaderboard, so it must be that they have a weight advantage.
