Okay, now I'm fully confused... Somehow, out of nowhere, without me doing anything, my race replays now have my driver's head copying my actual VR head movements(looking into the mirrors, etc), when they never did this previously! :)
The helmet still isn't bouncing during porpoising, but it's now tracking my real head turning movements?
It's awesome - don't get me wrong, as it's something I've always wanted to have happen, but why is it happening now, and not yesterday? :confused:

Legion's Lotus 38 (Clark's 65 Indy 500 winner) is a nice addition to the stable. I have just added a yellow exhaust, Clark's helmet and overalls, and a bit of texture to the leather steering wheel.

I wouldn't know, as I don't partake in that sort of thing(well not for 20+ years :D), but I've just ran a second race, and the 'looking into mirrors' tracking in the onboard replays are still present. You're probably assuming it's some sort of placebo effect, with that response - I get it - but it's definitely a thing, I'm seeing.

It doesn't appear to be a 1-to-1 representation, as it doesn't show my head shaking in a no-no-type of action - it appears to be more like an event-triggering thing, when I make deliberate looking to mirror movements. Weirdly interesting.

Not sure if it can be replicated, maybe other VR users can also see it in their onboard replays.

My next two videos will show what I mean(Okayama & Baku), as I always sync up my VR footage with onboard in a picture-in picture style.

Hey I've got a couple of cars I'm wanting to modify slightly like removing co driver seats and wings but can't figure out how to do it, is it just an ext config file and hide object? when I do that it doesn't seem to work any help? Thanks.
 
Autumn Ring Tree Shader Issues

I've noticed on the version of Autumn Ring I have, with four layouts, that sections or sub-planes of the trees are showing shadows on themselves, so you can easily see the quad-plane shapes. Looking at the files, my version was updated April of 2021.

[EDIT] I just checked Breathe's list and see there's a version that was updated in November of 2021. I'm downloading now to see the improvements, and if this was fixed.



NOPE, not fixed. Even with quad trees, and not tri, this could probably be improved.

As far as I know MODEL_REPLACEMENT is the most performant option to remove stuff. This should work fine if the parts you want to remove is a separate node/mesh. If not the model would most likely have to be edited in 3dmax/blender/maya/...

Removing the seat of the VRM Hyundai i20 Rally 2 mod works this way:

Does anybody have decent camera's/cams for 'Indianapolis_1960s' ?
I do not use camtool, just after some decent camera angles for replays

Updated PSD template for the @petercrill F355 Challenge for those that like to paint.

switched off all layers / painted alpha channel all black / removed pink from paint layer.

Anything I want to change after "saving" the car in 3dsimed gets "bugged", the famous encryptions.

That's why, for now, I gave up putting the small detail about the engine in the version (Interlagos 79 and Italia 78 which are practically the same, in addition to other defects that did not prevent the tests on the track (for example the front windshield which in the original format of the another game is ".tga", when I convert the textures to ".dds" it is not transparent, I don't know how to solve it, for now it remains the same.

I used the Lotus 78 version as base car (by Legion, which by the way it's excellent)

As far as I know MODEL_REPLACEMENT is the most performant option to remove stuff. This should work fine if the parts you want to remove is a separate node/mesh. If not the model would most likely have to be edited in 3dmax/blender/maya/...

Removing the seat of the VRM Hyundai i20 Rally 2 mod works this way:

The co-driver is added via the data/lods.ini and it seems that it can't be removed using MODEL_REPLACEMENT. In this case unpacking the data and removing the LOD would do the trick.

Hey I've got a couple of cars I'm wanting to modify slightly like removing co driver seats and wings but can't figure out how to do it, is it just an ext config file and hide object? when I do that it doesn't seem to work any help? Thanks.
You can just use ext_config

[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
MATERIALS= name of material
BLEND_MODE=ALPHA_TEST
and just select the name of the material for the wing/seat (example below removing wing from urd lmp)

I think you can also use MESHES= instead of MATERIALS= which would help in the case of co-driver seats as likely those use the same materials as the driver seat, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
