let's not include "Captain Obvious", ok?
It's just that such things should appear correctly and not as someone pleases.
You seem to fairly new...
Lots of modders don't even care to put version numbers, or forget to update them, or start with v1.0 what should really be v0.1 etc...
If you consider a version date as being not 'correctly', how would you consider the above then ?

That's all right, I just think that quite often there are very noticeable bugs in mods.
so writing versions or their absence is really a trifle

What Legion uses is a proper way imho to clarify from which wip folder this version came from. Trust me, if you are working on modifying and changing and adding stuff in a wip track at some point you get lost. You need something to know where this version is stored and when you published it. Legion uses this way.

A workaround to make real mirrors render properly in VR is to uncheck this 'High Quality' box in CM settings - Assetto Corsa/Video

Thanks for the workaround. That's how I've been using real mirrors since the last patch came out. The only drawback with that is so much doesn't render with High Quality off. Like the drivers visor or rain on the rear windshield etc. I'll keep my fingers crossed that Ilja gets it fixed in time for the next Patreon release. I'm really grateful for all he's done so far. This fix would be the icing on the cake!

Amen to that.

Remember kids : date your updates. Thank me later.

That is for sun specular on track, what if I want to darken the asphalt
Use this instead:
INI:
[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
ACTIVE = 1
DESCRIPTION = change brightness shader settings
MATERIALS = material_name_here
PROP_... = ksAmbient, 0.3 ;use proper values here
PROP_... = ksDiffuse, 0.3 ;use proper values here
:)

But before you ask for every single thing that can be changed with config, please have a closer look here:

Or just examine other track configs how they do it. ;)

You can for example use MESHES names instead MATERIALS names.
Some things have to be done with SHADER_REPLACEMENT, some can also be changed with MATERIAL_ADJUSTMENT, etc.
So, reading the Wiki, will help you a lot more... hopefully... ;)

A Little Late but if you are on CSP 0.180-preview218.

Just add the following to tyres_fx.ini and you will get the new option in Content Manager's Tyres FX:

[EXTRAS]
; Extra visual options
OVERHEATING=1 ; Emit smoke and flames for overheated (only applies when temperatures are around 300 °C); 1 or 0; new

strange but having this preview I don't see an additional option

i prefer this than the one i already have by "lu thua kien". i also don't see much wrong with it after a quick go. thanks

For money.
Dude probably owns every Reboot track, all released completely for free.
The fact that he and others like him take someone's copyrighted and original content and hide it by paywall - is ridiculous funny as hell.
But here we have an eternal history: every "great" modder wants a couple of cents. Modern modding as is. :)

@Fanapryde, as far as I remember - his version of Imola also have a floating grooves on road mesh and still not fixed.

Does he charge for that one too?
We need to get the Reboot Hungaroring finished and released.
im pretty sure he releases these for free eventually. i downloaded hungaroring off his patreon for free. if you want early access then you got to become a member so he is still making money off some one else's work which is sly and dirty. but at least its "technically" free.........after a specified time.

Many thanks for that mate, since i lost my FB account i can get your mods only from here and it is a very good work!

i uploaded this to gt planet's mod section to try it out incase anyone was interested who has not seen it. only decent (ish) older audi i could find in my opinion. And if my memory serves me correct it was old abandonware from urd years back, picked up by some random person and posted i have no clue who finished it, can't even remember where i found this, i get some fun out of it. I am thinking of uploading a 58 car (ish) btcc pack on here as it may expose some people to some stuff they may not have seen. It can't be a bad thing to be able to have 1 place where every (nearly) btcc car in existence to date lives. call it a 1 stop shop for all your touring car need's :)

Assetto Corsa 2023-07-12 6_13_50 PM.png

Hello all, I am having an issue in this 2022 FW44 where the gears don't climb high enough to full engine potential, it is very slow acceleration.. I max out at around 5th gear. How can I solve this? Appreciate any help thanks!

Random Assetto-Corsa Tip #827

If you encounter an "AI Spline missing or damaged"
Try copy ./ai/fast_lane.ai to ./data/ideal_line.ai
note: this will likely happen in "Time Attack" mode
Isn't that also the fix if AI cars pit after one lap?
If it's not that, it's something similar.

Closing another cycle of skins (but in an original car).

The car is the Aston Martin Ulster ( skins from 1931 to 1934 , even though the 1931/1932 version of the car is not the Ulster ) .

The skins are close to the real ones ( more or less ), but a set of skins to compose the grid of the 30's in Le Mans.

Soon I will "SHARE EVERYTHING", just give me some time to tweak/adapt some more from the 30's, and fine tune details (in the DATA folder). I still have to pass the cars from the 60's/70's/80's (pending), and that lack the possible improvements in the textures (when possible made by our mate "MrHunt")
