i uploaded this to gt planet's mod section to try it out incase anyone was interested who has not seen it. only decent (ish) older audi i could find in my opinion. And if my memory serves me correct it was old abandonware from urd years back, picked up by some random person and posted i have no clue who finished it, can't even remember where i found this, i get some fun out of it. I am thinking of uploading a 58 car (ish) btcc pack on here as it may expose some people to some stuff they may not have seen. It can't be a bad thing to be able to have 1 place where every (nearly) btcc car in existence to date lives. call it a 1 stop shop for all your touring car need's :)

Hello all, I am having an issue in this 2022 FW44 where the gears don't climb high enough to full engine potential, it is very slow acceleration.. I max out at around 5th gear. How can I solve this? Appreciate any help thanks!

Random Assetto-Corsa Tip #827

If you encounter an "AI Spline missing or damaged"
Try copy ./ai/fast_lane.ai to ./data/ideal_line.ai
note: this will likely happen in "Time Attack" mode
Isn't that also the fix if AI cars pit after one lap?
If it's not that, it's something similar.

Closing another cycle of skins (but in an original car).

The car is the Aston Martin Ulster ( skins from 1931 to 1934 , even though the 1931/1932 version of the car is not the Ulster ) .

The skins are close to the real ones ( more or less ), but a set of skins to compose the grid of the 30's in Le Mans.

Soon I will "SHARE EVERYTHING", just give me some time to tweak/adapt some more from the 30's, and fine tune details (in the DATA folder). I still have to pass the cars from the 60's/70's/80's (pending), and that lack the possible improvements in the textures (when possible made by our mate "MrHunt")

Does he charge for that one too?
We need to get the Reboot Hungaroring finished and released.
Please do, and with 38 pit stalls please, so we can run championship of the Formula Regional Europe by Alpine season which has 37 driver skins for the season plus the player car. ;)

Random but sometimes the cars don't like traction control being on. Have you tried switching it off? More common in older car mods but does happen every now and again.

Nice one and better than the one I got so far. Too bad there is only the non-tobacco skin available. Do you have a to-do list which cars from GT are next to be converted?

... the one i already have by "lu thua kien"...
... and also I have the slight suspicion that this version of the mod have something "toxic", (or at least, the one I downloaded, I don't remember exactly where): when I installed the car, the apps (speed and gear, lap time, display map, etc) that I have on screen had disappeared, so I had to reconfigure them...

Since I'm not an expert, I can't say for sure that the reason for these problems is what I've said, but it's happened to me before, especially when installing mods of dubious quality... that's why I always install and test them one by one; this way lets you know which mod is screwing everything up...

Been having a lot of fun in spec races with your 1974 Toyota BLR Specials Corolla SR5, so added some LODs if you want them.
Also added a better shifting animation and adjusted the preload slightly.
Tweaked the FFMult and Steer Assist slightly too to add some weight to the steering (a quick look at the specs on https://mag.toyota.co.uk/toyota-corolla-generations-1974-1979/ has no mention of PAS). Ignore car.ini to retain the original settings.
Here's JUST the shifting animation, LODs and relative configs. Add them manually after unpacking the data. DON'T do a 'clean installation' in CM, this is only some of the files required for the car.
The full car download is from the spreadsheet linked in the video.

Note: these LODs are for the 'BLR Specials' 175 BHP version of the car with bumpers removed, NOT for the standard version.

Lovely little analogue car. Thanks very much.

Silent update for both versions of the Scirocco MK1. Just remove txt suffix and replace steer.ksanim in both cars with this version.

Edit: Added the wrong file, big time sorry.
Small tweak to the driver's position to match the new steer.ksanim.
Remove the .txt extension and put it in the car folders.

I know about model replacement, but I need to replace it with something. I guess i can always replace it with a 0.001 sized object so that "nothing" appears.

And for animated wing what do I need to animate to make it dissappear ? Like I know how to animate (I already animated wing flexing) but dunno what to do to make it dissappear in animation. Change size ? make it go underground?
You can just hide objects without replacing them.
I have managed to animate dive planes or winglets as in either have them on or not there. Making them move into the body of the car can work and so can underground but not ideal. In the case of a halo on a formula car, swing it back and downwards into the engine area may work.

Nice job. Btw can I make you a question about modding? Why Interior AO only for carbon, is there any particular reason behind this choice? Wish you all the best mate and thanks

hey guys, I have the small issue

one of the modcars I downloaded has a windshield-banner, which does reflect the curbs and the texture of the road from the bottom "through" the car. I drive with cockpit camera, so its veeery dictracting,
so I want this reflections disabled.

(all reflections settings I already tried from content manager, didnt do anything (or do they? I couldnt find it)).

Im kind of hoping that this is easy to fix. But I have no idea. The rest of the car is really nice, so Id like to keep it, and drive it.
Have you any idea how this can be tweaked and solved? I hoped maybe I only need to find the config file and change the parameters for the reflextion of the banner. But I dont know.. Im not owning Photoshop, and I hope
this can be solved without such (paid) software?

Appreciate your feedback! Thanks and regards, Dave

@Rainmaker87

Please tell me, are all the track improvements you released on RD, also to find here?
I am mainly after the 1988s tracks.
I try to DL some on RD and it´s once again a pain.... can last few weeks or somethin ^^

Yes, although they are not 100% perfect, as well as invented/adapted cars. Until someone decides to do something more correctly I will continue this work.
That's right, I don't intend to be with me as soon as possible (after some tests and adjustments), I hope to "SHARE EVERYTHING" ...

Hi guys. someone would be so kind of teach me/ point me to a tutorial on how to add starting lines to a track? i'm adding pitboxes for rally stages for a league, but there are a lot of stages without starting line. This is the league, in case anyone wants to join:https://discord.gg/GyuWjHC9 (it's in spain/spanish)

it's just because of the optics, it just looks a bit more realistic (shadows and stuff)

Hello,
I like this A4 DTM - 2004, however the engine sounds (interior as well as exterior) do sound non-DTM (to me at least. Sounds "American V8" to be honest. I can be wrong whether sounds should fit this A4 DTM, but might have to look for changing some stuff on the audi_a4_r9_dtm.bank here.

BUT, thanks very much for providing the mod! Apreciated!
