made 3 extra skins for the "Ford SuperVan3 Donut Media 1994" (cky_ford_supervan3_donut) v1.0 by Ceky Performance

(beware : original v1.0 extension/ext_config.ini is included in my archive and altered slightly - to set the original skin names by name instead of ? )
If you have altered something to the extension\ext_config.ini already, do not use drag&drop in CM, but only copy over the skins and make manual adjustment to the extension\ext_config.ini file:
changeing
SKINS = ?
into
SKINS = "Donut Media", "Vericu Sport Tuning Racing Performance"

(else my chameleon paint won't stick... )

There's the Ytanguy, Neel Jani version converted by Sliderman. Still WIP, but personal matters are in the way of further development lately. Last changes are from late July. It does look good already, but it's going to be a while before it will get published I'm afraid.

Thank you for the update! Was there ever a WIP posted or was it just updates and screenshots? I'm new and still adjusting to finding posts in a single 4110 page thread lol - hopefully it gets finished at some point, it's a wildly underrated track.

No, nothing about this version has been posted yet. No screenshots either. The one I included is the first one :D

Here goes. My skin, for carToons Citta di Aorta which captures the vintage Targa Florio mood, especially at night with CrisT86's fantastic lighting additions.

I created some simple skin changes to give it a more 60s/70s Italian feel, as well upscaling street level textures for a better visual experience. Nothing as clever as the work done by Racinjoe, Rainmaker etc but I hope this skin will make the experience of driving this great track even more enjoyable.

Changes include:
  • dirtying of road texture on the edges to simulate accumulated dirt and oild drops from parked Fiat 500s
  • altering the colour/shade of the road surafce and sidewalk surface to create a greater distinction between the two
  • lowering the luminosity of many street level textures - trying to create a more FatAlfie-like™ feel where textures aren't super bright and unrealistic
  • changing most of the French shops names to Italian (using Google translate, so let me know if inaccurate)
  • I don't know if the track is set in a particular time period but the 1980s on American ambulance & fire engine weren't working for me as a 50s to 70s period track. At first I removed them both, but decided it was a bit bare at the start so brought the fire track back but tried to make it look a bit more '60s - ideally I would love to inject vintage style kn5s in their place, but I haven't yet figured out how to go about doing that.
  • a new banner at the start/finish
  • upscaling of building face textures - they are so close to the car view
Permission kindly given by carTOON to post my skin. Let me know what your thoughts, but go easy on me... ;)

Hi everyone.
Just a question about the RSS Mercer (Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo). Is there some kind of AI fix for it? The AI drives -more than often- off the track at many circuits (for example T2 in Monza).

RENAULT CLIO UK CUP 3 SKINS 2K/4K/6K...
Wow, thanks a lot; that car brings me bittersweet memories; a long, long time ago I had a Renault Clio S (just married, I didn't have enough dough to buy the 16v), just like that one...

Renault Clio S.JPG

... 92 pure, raw, rabid and french horsepower, my first car brand new paided with my (and my wife's) hard earned money, a fun little car with which I had a lot of fun, but ended up giving me a lot of electrical and refrigeration problems, hence the bittersweet memories... although I must admit that being young and inexperienced, it´s possible that the maintenance of the car was not as correct as it should have been... 😬

And after this nostalgic parenthesis, let's get down to business... I like the mod a lot: good looking, drives well, sound is more than correct... but I have seen a couple of small flaws, not at all important, that is, and I know that one of them is not your responsibility, but I'm mentioning it in case anyone would like to correct them.

As it can be seen in the image, circled in red...

Screenshot_renault_clio_16s_coupe_ks_barcelona_1-10-123-11-49-29.jpg

... when turning fully, the front tires overlap the wheel arch and bumper, and the rear glass stickers also overlap improperly when viewed with the F5 camera. As said, and since I always drive in first view, these details aren't deal breakers, but it wouldn't be bad if they could be corrected.

By the way, the download folder includes a kn5 and data backups... They are different versions than the final ones, or you have simply forgotten to delete them before uploading the mod?

Thanks again!

Made an updated reworked chameleon skin for the updated BMW M4 GT4 G82 (v0.992) by Guerilla Mods

for some reason the rims are not showing the correct color in the preview though...
in the video they are showing more as they do in-game:

I see a much more severe bug, look at the textures of the tires, they don't close, you can see the inner circle and the rest of the texture for the tread, which is angular!

i love hearing the personal stories of people who owned these car's and have lived with them for a number of years, is the photo of the white one you shared of your actual car? if it is it looks brand new!

a good freind of mine was/still is a reanult NUTJOB he owns the fastest n/a clio mk1 in the uk (at the time) 251 WHP its the most savage thing i been in even the genuine cup cars only had roughly 200bhp. he has spent vast sums of money and time on this car so even though i never owned a clio it was still a trip down memory lane for me, i am glad it took you down memory lane to :)

now lets get down to business i have no idea how to stop the overlap on the windows i have noticed it but no idea how to sort that i have seen this issue on other paid mods so maybe it is just the way the game handles it?

if the wheel is clipping the wheel arch raise the suspension up a little, maybe add a bit of negative camber if it does not bork the handling up and the kn5 i am not sure what you mean the kn5 is the 3d model the data file is the data file.........

edit i adjusted the height a little and now no clipping i gone a bit to much i could go a bit lower again and have no issues still

Nothing to see here, just another update

Did my final test run with the Porsch today and decided afterwards, its now good as it is. Many, many things were touched again, many minor problems solved, the biggest one was the downforce. Id like to thank @TonyBarracuda for pointing me to this issue. Now the car has proper 75kg of downforce at max speed.

Source: https://www.total911.com/1976-934-le-mans-winner/

Here just a quick overview of the changes, but tbf this list had to be a lot longer. I've made so many changes, the car drives now completely differently ... but that doesnt mean its easier to drive. :D

Code:
Version 1.5 by Pfalzdriver
- Decreased downforce to proper 75kg at max speed
- Reduced gear count to four
- Corrected tire size with optimised physics by Arch
- Adjusted brake torgue to match real braking distances
- Minor adjustments to suspension and engine curve, adjustable turbo
- Some fixes and additions to model and extension, e.g. rain tires textures

You can download the car as usual here at GTPlanet or Sharemods.

And please, stop finding any more errors! And yes, I know, rain tires in this area were not marked in blue. I couldnt find any picture with someone crazy enough driving the beasty in the wets. Its just a texture (in extension), so feel free to change it to your liking.

Oh, nearly forgot: Please make a new installation! I had to change two folder names in the skins of @MrHunt which contained "Umlaute." Is there even an english word for that?
Assetto Corsa doesnt have a problem with "Umlaute" tho, but an App we use for multiplayer racing does. It has the tendency to kick people from the server, so I usually avoid "Umlaute." :)

Hello! How are you? I would like to know how to create this type of skin. I just change colors with mipmap, but I would like a tutorial. Congratulations. The skins were great.

Thank your for the skin, but there is no difference between V2 and V3. When and at what race with the drivers Brendon Leitch and Keromg Li was this livery used in the 2022 GTWC Europe? I could only find the info, that Leipert Motorsport used a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo (NOT Evo2) in the 2022 GTWC Europe endurance cup, but without the driver Keromg Li.

Any chance the gearstick shaft could be shortened so that the hand grips the gearknob during shifting? A two-min job in Blender would be time very well spent for any VR users. :)

Edit: or try this attached animation, which is closer to the gearknob has less clipping.

@Pfalzdriver add this to the config to stop sunlight lighting up the footwells through what should be solid objects:

Code:
;stop sun in footwells
[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
ACTIVE = 1
MATERIALS = INT_DETAILS, EXT_CARPAINT, INT_COURO
CAST_SHADOWS = 1
DOUBLE_FACE_SHADOW_BIASED = 1

  • The touchups to the paint (v2-v3) may not be readily apparent... I tilted the yellows toward reddish (from greenish) and mini-glitches were removed. (The standard pit animation for the car revealed some crap under the doors)
  • as shown below they were present in 2022 and 2023, but you are right about the drivers. I'll fix that. I just picked names from the website. I probably got the 1st name/ last name wrong too. Dang.
  • Right, Leipert didn't get the Evo2 until 2023. (It came out in may 2022 though so pretend they got it) I wasn't doing a skin for the Evo though (So squint, eh) That red/silver eagle motif they used for 2023 wasn't so appealing, and looked really hard to do. I'm the bang out a skin cuz there isn't any guy :)
  • names are now fixed (V4) Thanks Frank25. Sometimes I get lazy. and Yes, there's definately a difference. Look CLOSER... changed hues-tiny-touchup and the helmet were changed (v3 had the yellow helmet) ;)

Two more cars tested, Matra MS670 long-tail (reviewed some files in the "DATA" folder, to make the car faster) which was modified to the MS670 short-tail version.

The Ford Capri spinning in the group of Ligier JS2, Ferrari 365 GTB4, De Tomaso, Chevrolet Corvette. The comparison of times between the cars (using the same Le Mans version), until practically 1981 (before the entry of Group C cars).
Matra MS670 long-tail ( Cevert/Ganley )

Ford Capri 2600RS ( Mass/Stuck )

Once you review the other Matras, they will all be shared for good fun. Then the other revised cars from the 70s will follow: Alfa Romeo, Ferrari 312pb, Ligier JS2, BMW, Ford Capri, Porsche, Alpine-Renault, Mirage and any others that are created.

What I mean is, that your V3 has exact the same files with same date as V2 and no driver helmet. Maybe you can check, if you really uploaded the correct files.

Yep, you have sharp vision... Missed that detail, but I have an excuse; it must be taken into consideration that my eyeballs are almost 17 years old than yours...

No, not my original car; is a random photo from the web, to show the model. I wish I could have kept some of the cars I have owned throughout my life!😟

Well, although I hardly understand anything about making skins, there are mods (free and paid) that do not have that bug, so it is assumed that it's some little problem with how the stickers are added...
... i adjusted the height a little and now no clipping i gone a bit to much i could go a bit lower again and have no issues still...
How have you done it, through Showroom CM? And if so, what height and/or camber values have you left? The thing is that I don't dare to tinker too much and end up ruining the behavior of the car, which as it comes, I quite like.
... the kn5 i am not sure what you mean the kn5 is the 3d model the data file is the data file...
The files marked in red, I assume they are redundant (not different options) and can be deleted to save hard drive space, isn't...?

When I "drive" (or rather try to) this kind of mods, I wonder how there were pilots in real life who could go so fast with such beasts...

You can't, only moderators can do it, but you have the possibility of editing your messages to delete what you have posted and simply leave "Deleted" written. (I studied it in the first year of Forumology)
yes it will be some trickery with the window stickers or other values i cant help there im affraid as i have no idea how to sort that, for me its not really an issue so i never looked into why.

the data backup can indeed be deleted but it is always advised to keep a backup of that file as that is your "physics" folder. thats why i left it in, the kn5 file pretty much has nothing really to do with the data as far as i no the kn5=3d model and the "data"= physics.

and to raise the ride height you can do this in game in the setup menu, scroll along to the "suspension" tab and you will see height there, i just raised mine up to 70 at the front and rear and that was roughly about right, changing the ride height small amounts won't effect much (i do like the physics on this car to its great fun)

i am doing another skin for the clio maybe 2 one white and a black one, should be done in 2-3 days

there was only 1 car i wish i had of kept and that was a mk2 scirocco scala with just over 50k from new, it was a genuine showroom condition model and now it would be worth a fortune i paid £2000 back 15 years ago which back then was silly money for a scirocco

Le Mans 1972 finished the "BoP".
It is more or less within the real times of the season with small variations (which can be improved in a more specific setup).

The Matra MS670 (short-tail) was very fast (but with small differences in the DATA folder), but similar to the MS670 long-tail in lap time.
The Ferrari 312pb (which didn't just race in Le Mans 1972) has similar times.Based on these results, we adjust the other years until around 1981 (with the end of the Group6, Group5, Group4, GTP cars). In 1982 Group C definitely started, so it will be another story.
The sound of the Matra was also changed, but I still haven't been able to do something similar on the Ferrari 312pb (at the time of downshifts). I still have to do some research.
Matra 670 short-tail ( G.Hill/Pescarolo )
