Same problem here, but Happy to have a problem like this.

I'm new un Assetto Corsa and I spend more than six months collecting Cars, tracks, skins, apps and all this increíble stuff moders made for the Game. By now, I have more than 200 tracks, over 1600 Cars and many days I felt like you, don't know what Drive or where, but I'm in love of everything that have four tyres and wanna go fast, so always found the perfect car for the perfect moment.

Now I'm training to Race the 24H of LeMans 1998/1999 and Drive every car trying to find the perfect for me, by now, the URD Mercedes CLR is my favourite until I try the RSS pack. For me Assetto IS a Game for a decade, so no need to be hurry.

If you want an advice, erase every car and every track and instale only that you want to Drive in this moment, a real pleasure, believe me.
I would suggest stay strict to the genre, race class and period you like.
Tag the cars, only with the tags that are helpful.
Remember, a bad made car can be a good grid filler, but a bad made track only cost you space on your SSD. After downloading, always test the track and if it’s bad made, like 90% of the converted 2D and shimmering tracks, just delete this garbage.

I, as a sample, only like the old racing cars and the matching historical tracks. So why should I use modern circuits/cars. If for a championship the needed circuit is not available or bad made, I take an perfect made alternative track like from @Fat_alfie

The one by Bonny (bm_bentley_continental_gt_2019) is the one that survived out of what I tried:

I like the ChemFlummi or even GTP/Thegost versions better personally, the Bony one is a leaked/unfinished mod (version 0.4) and it shows.

Thanks, didn't know that one.

Just tried it and I would say not bad but again an unfinished version with some bugs and in need of further polishing.

My personal ranking would be as follow:

1/ ChemFlummi
2/ GTP+Thegost
3/ Kunos and QP,Fabr__123 (0.60)
4/ Bony

Are you sure the problem is with the car itself? I've just tested the same mod on Daytona and did a couple of laps without any tires problem.
I am absolutely sure, that this is the only car out of many where the tires overheat very quickly, perhaps you were driving too carefully, try to drive at the limit, the tires overheat after 3-4 turns.
As per other comments I think you have a problem with your installed files for the ChemFlummi mod.
Nothing missing on my end and great looking car.
Yes, there was a missing font (it wasn’t in the folder with the car), i installed it now and the display works well, but race logic still doesnt work.

The model is a very old from GTR2. Different from the one you have presented.
I know that version is old but it's the premise that that model too was never shared. You had to rip that from somewhere in the first place. Original author used that as a base for the 1999 version that I have. Same thing goes for the Porsche lmp1/98 from Kefla that has made the rounds here which was also stolen.

Why not share it then? What is the point of making a mod and not sharing with other people that enjoy it?

Hi guys:

I have this issue with tach lights at night. When the track is dark (old Nurburgring) instruments lighting looks like this. Can you recommend any workaround to solve it?

View attachment 1323959
It looks like the lights are attached to the dashboard glass when they are supposed to be attached... I don't know what's the correct word. I mean, the tachometer glass seems to be illuminated, not the actual meter behind it. Can be fixed by editing lights.ini.

clarifying the mess as things might seem confusing. Im the model author and ive elected to keep it private till serious or proffessional inquries/offers. Sylph is the texture and mapping artist. Kefla did the lm98 front end.

They have less faith here becuse of Keflas and my early models have previously in the past been covnerted and used without permission or us being personally contacted. Some of my previous gtr2 work has been repedetly gone trough converted with neither giving me credits or permission asking, I know who it is due to them finding the models at the specific gtr2 forum and they bother not giving any cents of about modelauthor.

But ive personally talked with peugeot905 about it as its way more outdated models done for gtr2 standards. Higher quality modelslike this one was intended for rf2. But shall remains private till serious offers, collaborations etc.

so the models was originally mods for GTR2, but was not ported to AC at time? was private? the mod was original or was a ported model too?

Hi, still trying to finish my first mod here, wondering if there is any way to change the power of a car with a switch. What I am trying to do is like flipping a manettino switch on the steering wheel to change into any modes, say if there are 4 modes, then it will be like switching between A, B, C or D mode, and not necessary in sequence. Can both power change and animation be done? So it's like if you change it from mode A to C, then when you want to change it back from C to A the animation will need to position the hand for mode C and then flip the switch back to A and so on. If that can be done, can anyone kindly provide more info or point to a tutorial for that? I don't seem to find anything online. Thanks!
Anyone can kindly shed some light on this? thx!

lmao you can just replace the sound of my redbull with the blown diffuser sound. You can use the content manager "replace sound' to easily do that.

Also yeah ponz physics that I also use (well a Frankenstein version of it) is made to be confortable with a controller. So pace wise it is easy to break records.

Yeah next update will have rain tyres.
Not my cleanest lap but the way this car takes the first few corners at Daytona very nice!

Also blown diffuser sound FTW! Can't wait for the new mod!

Acting all high and mighty whilst y'all rip AC mods for GTR2 (I'm on trackaholics, I see the stuff and can get the receipts), you're no better than us AC thieves.

Or can we talk about the models ripped from other games ? Off CGTrader ? It's a slippery slope.

does anyone knows if there's a cartoon/cell shading pp filter to recreate automodellista or intial d mood?
I found some (amazing) videos, but without any link

So, long story short : @GammaBower and @Silver-Sylph, do you claim prejudice against @Peugeot905 for stolen property or is it just assumptions ? Otherwise, it would be commonly called diffamation. In that case, at least an apology would be expected for good manner.
no i dont think this actually model is stolen. Just previous models ive been involved have been and thats why im cautious. But i have talked with 905 many times and theres no problem.

I only have issue with stoffewaffel. Saying all of us who does gtr2, rf2, ams modders are rippers is just blatantly wrong. Even those who rips for places for trackaholics puts the modelsource.
Stoffelwaffles conversion of my models had just him listed for my models so idk about morale

Yeah that's why I see many mods, even URD (don't they explicitly said not to convert anything ?) stuff before the encryption, shared as WIP pics on TH and no one bat an eye.

But I converted stuff last year and I got shat on (rightly so) though no one cares when GTSupreme does it lmao.

Also, we don't put anything behind a paywall or require any form of subscription.

I will share more of my championship seasons like I promised. Many of us who are past 40 lived through this fantastic F1 era and I've had so much good time with these seasons after tweaking and testing them for months I got them all at very enjoyable state. Why not share them, then. It's not that easy to make competitive championships. You need good track ai's and well adjusted driver ratings. Fortunately the 1988 tracks are masterpieces and so are the ASR 1992 tracks. Makes it much easier. Only Hungaroring is slow (both 88 and 92 versions) but if you have SOL/CSP rain you can always make it a rain GP (the spray is annoying lol).

The 1992 was Nigel Mansell's first and only championship year. Nelson Piquet had retired and Prost had a sabbatical year because he had the famous breakdown with Ferrari and all other top teams already had booked drivers. Ivan Capelli replaced him and teamed with Jean Alesi. Prost (the GOAT professor that he was) came back 1993 and won yet another title with a car he was never comfortable with. But that's another story...

Mansell was completely dominant in the active suspension Williams, which Patrese couldn't get familiar with. The car was superior in Mansell's hands. He is ranked at 100 with high aggression in the championship. Tough man to beat, and so is young upcoming talent Michael Schumacher at Benetton.

ASR Formula 1 1992 for Assetto Corsa is a phenomenal mod. Rivals RSS 1990 as the best classic F1 mod. Get it here.

Place the cars to steamapps/assettocorsa/content/cars or install with Content Manager

1992 Championship (you need full version of the Content Manager for AC). It's set for Senna but you can easily change it to any driver you want with a Notepad from the champs file. Just put Senna to the ai grid and rate him accordingly.

Place the files to C:/Documents/assettocorsa/champs

I always keep the grid at 19-20 cars. This has many benefits. Because AC ai cars don't behave like the real F1 cars on their warmup lap (give space) full grid would make way too difficult to get a clear QF lap. Also lower ranked ai cars aggression is low exactly for this same reason. With high aggression their behaviour in slow QF laps and as backmarkers is NOT realistic. With higher aggression they try to knock you out even during the blue flags. The downside is that now when accident happens they sometimes get stuck behind eachother on street tracks. But it's a compromise, you can't get it both ways. If you feel this is not good, feel free to add the full grid yourself. The ASR package has it.

Spa and Monza 1988 are there for a reason. The ai in those tracks is superior to 1992 track versions. All tracks are there, in correct order as they happened.

Monza 1988 (more competitive ai than in the 1992 version)

Spa 1988 (more competitive ai than in the 1992 version)

ASR 1992 track pack (Mediafire links). The rest of the tracks are amazing. Kyalami and Interlagos are masterpieces.

Place the tracks to steamapps/assettocorsa/content/tracks or install with Content Manager

BBC vintage overlays for SimHub

Eurosport/Senna overlay for Simhub.

Overlay Nigel Mansell edition 90's for SimHub,

Let me know if you need help to set up the 1992 championship.

PS: The video showcases the cars nicely. Beautiful work by ASR. They drive so well too... lovely details. And the ASR 1992 tracks are amazingly done. The mod is well worth the price. I wish they'd make the 1985 and 1989. Sorry about Senna Kyalami lap audio being off sync. By the way Mansell clocked mid 1:19's in the end and took the pole.

EDIT: Take the championship file again. There was rain left on Adelaide and I understand not everyone has the bundle rain CSP addon.
