I finally figured out how to use the polar coordinates filter in Gimp to properly bend logos around the tyre! Previously, I have used curve bend and perspective, which can produce quite ok results, but not perfect, and it takes a lot of fiddling around.

Polar coordinates creates a perfect curve without any hassle.

Anyone has this? When starting content manger, sometimes goes away with a restart, sometimes repeated restarts needed with similar messages, sometimes a small blue screen error. Eventually restarts, sometimes get it when exiting a race and returning to CM. Only get it when using CM, no other Apps. Also Simhub drops out randomly. Help!

Not sure obviously in this case, but if you take a triumph spitfire or any car and put race suspension on it and change a myriad of other things it is not really a triumph spitfire, or certainly not the road one. I'm never sure why so many people struggle with that concept.

A NYC circuit but i'm open to more street ones aswell as long as they are based on real cities.

Something similar to this is what i'm looking for.
Speaking of NYC circuits, one does "exist" but it's a free roaming map. Maybe the creator of FDR can make it happen, it's there, he just needs to work on it, billboards, guard rails and to know about the layouts.

I know this sounds stupid, but is there any way to slow down the AI speed of all vehicles on a particular track?
I'd love to watching the car body at low speeds, similar to the GT7's dynamic viewing mode


My favourite track, Patriot Course at Virginia International Raceway has a great CamTool setting made by Unovox

I know I can drive myself at a slow speed and turn on playback mode, but if I can let the ai drive, I just enjoy watching... Well sometimes I'm lazy lol



Try editing ai_hints.ini in the Data folder to add the following

[MAXSPEED_0]
START = 0.223
END = 0.225
VALUE=50

But it didn't seem to make any difference

The values for the track are percentages. So "0" = 0% (=start) while "1" is 100% (=finish). So a speed limit for the entire track should be:

START = 0.001
END = 0.999

I would say as a first impression, the problem is not CM but your hardware, with specific your RAM as an first suspect.
Do a test on your RAM. Not the best RAM testing software but it will give you an quick results and is included in Windows https://www.techrepublic.com/article/how-to-detect-bad-ram-with-the-windows-memory-diagnostic-tool/

Do you use an laptop or a CPU with an onboard GPU? How many RAM do you have?
Can you post your system specs?

Is there any "patent fix" for the "injured ai cars" when they start crawling on the track 20 km/h after they hit the wall? And when they do, they create annoying traffic problems. Especially on Monaco.

Anyone has found out something during this 10 years? :)

My first guess was failing RAM
(not lack of specs or type (I actually have dd3 in my box and a very old core i7 4770 non-K))

Also try swapping your RAM slots and see if it happens, as a bad RAM could be shifted out of a critical address

I have a question regarding AI. Is there any value in the ai.ini perhaprs that helps to keep them in the draft longer before starts to overtake? Or this one is controlled with the AI aggression more or less?

  • Hundreds of new Y-trees and bushes planted in the correct positions. All previous X-trees have been removed. All 2D treewalls have been removed to open up sight lines.

  • Animated camera jib, marshals and cameramen added.
  • Some adboard/sponsor textures updated. Some adboard meshes fixed.

Okutama Togue v2.0 from GRID2
-Downhill/Hillclimb layouts, custom road physics, original vegetation, audio effects, spectators
-vanilla AC compatible, a dozen physical drift posts in some corners
-CSP grass, rain, lights, floating leafes in that one tight Canyon
-unfortunately every addon for v1 would not work here, track was moved to be centered

Yes i'm very familiar with those tracks :cool: do you have a link to this one? The NYC 'Freeroam' tracks I have are very barebones and AI don't work on them for some reason. This one seems to be alot more detailed.

the track looks great but the AI pile up at the race start.
At least they do for me.

AI line seems to be broken. Pit line is fine.
