Cyril Cherry's new 806 is a nice addition but as always with his cars there's one or two things not properly done... Like the actual decals on the rear window which he didn't do, or the name not on the right windows either... And a wrong shade of white. Nothing that can't be fixed (required some, uh, editing of his model though).

anyone else has spotted this weird skydome issue of late?
The skydome is not rendered correct in both eyes...
when tilting my head to the left (VR only I presume ! - using Oculus render, CSP 0.2.3-preview1 and Pure Gamma 2.38)
in 1 eye the sky becomes plain blue , and the clouds are no longer rendered to some extent (above the horizon - from a certain height they are still rendered , just the clouds near the horizon are gone in 1 eye)
The further you tilt your head left the higher the clouds dissapear...

edit: this with Single Pass Stereo OFF ... when turning SPS on it's fixed !

(and I had SPS off because of the grass not being rendered correctly , but that seems fixed now! )

@Peter Boese : maybe still put that on a todo for people wanting to keep SPS off for some reason ?

I'm running the same CSP/PURE version combo. Turning on SPS automatically disables the sunblinding shader. If you turn that off in Pure Config app, you can run without SPS and still enjoy the solution. Talking specifically about the versions we are using.

Well done Mr Wafflle this is exactly what is needed on this, i done what i can adjusting the skin he supplied but it was annoying that the rear side windows arent even mapped plus some side windows are mapped directly underneath the rear glass in the AO plus other bits and boobies. Its never quite "there" is it.

I am never to sure either why he puts a BTCC plate on a car that never raced in the BTCC. Im still bloody happy though ive been enjoying using it.

Peter, what causes shadows in the car to strobe even when driving in clear sun with no other shadows over the track?
It's almost like Pure is calculating a cloud shadow on/off.

I've had the same flickering shadows in the cockpit in VR (Oculus Rift CV1) with CSP 0.2.4-preview1 and Pure 2.16 LCS. I could solve the problem by deactivating "Automatic splits" under "Smart shadows" and setting "Distances for interior" to "2.6, 120, 400". It seems, that the first shadow split was causing the flickering in the cockpit. By increasing the first value from 1.3. to 2.6, the flickering was gone. But with the latest version CSP 0.2.6-preview1 and Pure 2.38 LCS the flickering was back with this settings. After changing the value back from 2.6 to 1.3 the flickering was gone now. That's very strange. Even with activated "Automatic splits" and all values for "Smart Shadows" reset to default, I have no shadows flickering in the cockpit anymore.

Drove around both sides of the track and noted where there were issues with holes. At least the ones I could find. Eau Rouge\Raidillon is fixed. Kemmel and Les Combes will be fixed shortly. Problem is, I can't find the other two you mentioned. Any chance you could make some screenshots of the general area you are referring to? Thanks...

And BTW, where were you people when I released the track in 2022? I specifically asked for people to point out mistakes so I could fix them and no one said anything about the holes in the road. I just assumed everything was fine for the past two years. Just joking of course. Thanks for making me aware so I could clean things up.

Because we thought you only worked on the looks of the track, unaware you were capable of fixing the physical road surface. I would have asked 2 years ago. 😅

Several files modified in data folder to become a 2600 RS from a 1700. Logo's RS and RS2600 added with the help of 3DSimmed.

I had a Capri 3.0 S, year 1979. It was a blast. Very primitive car with leaf springs but mine had Recaros and it was a fast car of its time. I owned it in the 90's when I was a young kid. I still love Capri looks and imho the Mark III (or Mark II facelift for some) is a timeless looking car. Sure it was no real sports car but it had certain charm that is missing from today's cars.

Is there any way we can alter the new WSC and GTC cars so that those specific cars that get their models from other mods do it from their own folder, so that we can just drop the necessary kn5's in the main bazza pasta and don't need to have two similar mods at the same time? Personally i don't like having two TVR Griffiths when i'm actually only going to drive one, leaving the other one there just taking disk space. I took a look at the ext_config and saw this there:

Good morning, graphically the 2008 tires and liveries are much more detailed and refined than the 2007. I would also expect some improvements on the physics for 2007...anyway thanks for your work

Alright, I'll not touched it any further but it is in a good place. Decals aren't 100% accurate but I won't bother, it's not my mod anyways lol

List of things fixed / altered :

• Edited windows so decals could be painted on them. Resulted in 10 texture files but not my problem
• Driver names on the right windows
• Added Peugeot Lease decals in lieu of Sevel
• Removed some Michelin logos
• Added Kronos logos here and there
• Moved the Peugeot 806 badges (these were too low compared to the real car)
• Removed the AutoTrader plaque inside cockpit
• Added external_glass to cockpit_hr (am I ACTK/EASY ? Oh crap...)

Hey guys,

For last CSP/ PUre versions (2.6 and 2.38) : after intensive tweaking and for the record, for those like me who went crazy about the car shadows disapearing behind small windshields, it's in CSP Fake shadows, uncheck "properly project shadow on the ground".

A ground breaking improvment if you ask me.

Also, and that's another shadow related bug, if you see some reflections flickering especially with CSP Light.sun.speculars and Pure, it's in "CSP SMART SHADOWS", make sure automatic splits is checked.

That was my participation this week, thanks for your attention.

If you copy lods.ini and the 4x .kn5 files (main one and 3x LoDs) from the original car folder you can put them in the main folder. You'll need to unpack data to do that (it's a button in CM content screen), which I think is possible but haven't checked, and delete data.acd from the WSC/ACL version for it yo work.

Alternatively, just delete the UI, skins etc from the original car's folder to save space. I'm guessing if you delete the UI folder it won't show in CM but I haven't tested that.

For Quark: this doesn't work with the Alfa TZ2 at the moment due to newer CSP versions stopping it, will be fixed in a patch but just ignore the TZ2 for now.

Converted it from a GTA San Andreas mod back in the rFactor1 days

I found out that the Simdream boys had converted it to AC and was selling it in a pack of cars, most stolen of course
So I took my mod and improved it, LHD and RHD steering, Street and Race versions
but it is what it is for a very old model and me as a amateur modder
such a shame that the Capri MK3 is not in a newer game to convert, would love to have the original interior

I had a MK3 2.0S V6 and MK2 2.0S V6 irl, loved the cars with the V6 engine

After investigation it seems that it's not a RARE issue that the display of 2008 cars doesn't work, but simply that 36_big font, we thought was kunos default font, wasn't in everyone game files. So no font, no display. Will provide that font in next udpate
