Quick hotlap with the brand new '17 Porsche 911 RSR GTLM at NJMP Lightning. Driving aids were on factory default (no ABS, mild TCS). Driven with a DualShock 4 gamepad (hence the weird steering animations).

What? No! The steering animation just bugs out slightly for some reason.Do you use the D-pad for steering?
Thank you! Yeah, that first corner can be tricky. The track is indeed nice, reminds me a bit of Lime Rock.Wow. Very smooth driving on that track. I can't believe how much I like that Lightning layout. To me, it looks quite bland when you see the track map. Actually, it looks like a man's uh-oh with a droopy set of hey-nows!
Looks are quite deceiving - in my opinion. Turn 5 is awesome and 9 & 10 are so critical to get that proper speed coming home on the the finish straight. And even Turn 1 is really good. Every single lap feels like a game of chicken to me at Turn 1. Can I stay on the throttle just a second longer before braking for Turn 1?? I have gone shooting off the track there many times. Nice driving! 👍
I think he was asking because he does drive with the D-Pad on the Playstation with other games and he hasn't purchased Assetto Corsa because he wouldn't be able to custom map driving to the D-Pad.What? No! The steering animation just bugs out slightly for some reason.
Exactly. I thought it was a legitimate questionI think he was asking because he does drive with the D-Pad on the Playstation with other games and he hasn't purchased Assetto Corsa because he wouldn't be able to custom map driving to the D-Pad.
Oh, sorry man. Well, it is possible, you can practically map anything anywhere (on PC), but I wouldn't recommend it.Exactly. I thought it was a legitimate question
This video and the David AE86 vs Goliath one; that's my idea of fun, right there.
I just wish we could do that on console (i.e. having a decent road course and being able to mix cars online).
Very, very nice. 👍
No specific reason other than using this method since I discovered the original PlayStation 20+ years ago.Oh, sorry man. Well, it is possible, you can practically map anything anywhere (on PC), but I wouldn't recommend it.
I know there are people driving with a keyboard too, but I can't imagine this being fun, unless you activate all driving aids and only hotlap, or race against a very easy AI.
EDIT: Is there a specific reason for using the dpad, like a disability?
Because if not, you should really learn to use the analog sticks for simulators.
Currently having to much fun with this right now. I should probably put a sign over my screen to remind me there are other cars in this game. Owing one irl doesn't help though. Did I mentioned I'm having fun ?
