There are six players who have played for the Netherlands national football team who did not play in the Eredivisie (Dutch Premier Division).
A little clue: Two of them have played in the English top flight.

(remaining) Premiership one

Now, I have a sneaking feeling Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink started his club career in the Netherlands but with clubs outside the Eredivisie. But I also know that Jeffrey Bruma at Chelsea was poached out of Feyenoord's youth system and has never played club football in the Netherlands. With Jordi Cruyff playing for Manchester United, that's three Premier Leaguers, if JFH is correct...

Points for Bruma and Hasselbaink.

JFL began with AZ, who were outside the top flight at the time before making his name chiefly for Chelsea and Leeds.

Jeffrey Bruma did indeed come from Chelsea via Feyernoord's youth system but he's really made his name on loan to Hamburger SV, which is where he was when he picked up his first cap.

There were indeed three Premiership/League players but I miscounted; Cruijff, Krul and Hasselbaink. As I said, Bruma has played for Hamburg on loan so that counts as one of the Bundesliga players.

Famine - 2 (Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Jeffrey Bruma)
dhandes - 1 (Tim Krul)
akmuq - 1 (Jordi Cruijff)

We're still looking for another player who played mainly in Germany and two who played in Belgium. These are difficult so have fun with Google...

Wim Hofkens
Beveren, Anderlecht, KV Mechelen.

Willi Lippens
Rot weit Essen, Borussia Dortmund

Rob Reekers
VFL Bochum

The name and career of the player standing on the furthest right.

It's hard to guess if I don't know what era it is!

Erm, is it... Wim Jansen? He was at WC 1974 but I don't know anything else on him.

It was a game against Scotland.

Says so on the pennant. And, using CSI Vision, it was 12th June 1992.

Is it Jan Wouters, who elbowed Gazza in the face and got him the Phantom mask?

No, and no.

At midnight, my time, I will tell the year.

It was the season 1979-1980.

Barry Opdam?

The special thing about him is that, despite the obvious age problem, he formed an amazing defensive partnership with Steve Olfers on FM11 for me.

Nope. Bottom right is Danny Blind. The man left of the man in question is Fred Rutten.
