Haha I don't think so. I've decided tonight is the last night I'd run this so I have time to finish the Nissan TT. And considering I couldn't beat your earlier time sober I think after the (oh how many was it?) Oberons I've had tonight I'm sure you'll come out on top. But great competition my friend! 👍

I wasn't comfortable with the way I ended up cutting the last corner so I gave this another go today and managed to better my lap by a hair, but it's a cleaner lap.

Hey, if the game allows it, why bother? everyone else is cornercutting as much as they can anyway
But the way you can cornercut first and last corner is a bit too generous tbh, PD need to look into that.

These are all from my fastest lap, look at how much I cut first corner:

The rest of the lap is no better.

And then there is the way you take 3'rd corner...

Pretty bad TT tbh

The same way you didn't get red lapped in final turn on your previous lap
But try yourself, there is a line you can take and go completely to the right of the yellow bump in first turn and still get a valid lap (not much, but its there)

E.T. phone home is that line faster though? Every time I try and slide through there I lose all grip and fall behind my ghost. On my fastest lap (albeit a whole second behind the leader's) I didn't even touch that curb.

It is faster. Its just that if you miss with an inch, you will hit the yellow curb, get a bounce and loose the exit. Or you get too tight and get redlapped. There is not much to play on

I'm usually a tenth ahead of the number 1 ghost after turn 1, so it is faster when you get it right.

sorry I miscalculated, but still, they used to be on for a month. Now gonna have to spend 2,000,000 cr. on VGT because of holidays. :'(

Oh no...You mean, you missed out on getting the Nissan and Aston Martin Vision Gran Turismo cars because you weren't able to login for two weeks? And now you gotta pay for the cars, if you want them? Man...That stinks!! You might want to go check out the threads that talk about those cars in detail. Personally, I don't think they're worth spending $1,000,000 a piece for them. That's just my opinion though. Good luck!

Well I think the fact that the fastest line of the track goes actually pretty much out side the track tells me something about the track design... Though things might be different IRL since you don't want to take insane risks where you might actually brake your car etc. but for example the Tsukuba circuit is just designed so much better that though you can cut some corners but most of the time it's only gonna hurt you... I mean the first chicane of ascari might be just fine IRL since you probably don't have the opportunity to overshoot it in such a way you have in the game, but in game the chicane almost spoils the whole track for proper time trialing... And the fact is I really don't mind these future cars anyway... I mean ain't there enough great cars already existing to make a driving sim?

And yeah, thanks for pics, you could post some videos here also, I mean just for education material or something for those TT threats!!

In my opinion a big mistake of PD, not leave events available to play after closing. 👎
