Hm was very much looking forward to an endurance race, 9 isn't so bad but would be nice for a full room.

Either way I'll be there in a moment :)

I was too. But I dare say no one wants to waste a night with a small field.

I'm so 🤬 pissed off right now. I had practiced so much for this race and this 🤬 happens. I will 🤬 my internet service provider for such 🤬 internet. Its the second time ive missed the races due to 🤬 internet problems. I really hope this doesn't happen next week or sue my internet provider.

It wasn't aimed at you Jordie although I have things to say about that as you may have noticed. :P

On another topic I just can't stand PD utterly poor online service anymore. I'm now 99% sure I'm going to buy my PS4 next week and then pCARS the week after. It's just 🤬 ridiculous, I can't even race in quick race anymore, it works 1 on 3. :banghead:

Not to mention the problems with in race DC, be it this series or the others I race in. It is as annoying when it's a fellow driver than when it's you.

Edit : WTF is Jamie ?

ATCC Round 6- German Grand Prix @ Nurburgring
#77 Timothy Lourenco- Race Recap

I can safely say I more than made up for my abscence at Rome. Although the grid was smaller than usual, the fight for victory was far from quashed. If anything, I witnessed more tension than any other race so far in the ATCC. And in the end, I somehow manage to pull a sweep right out of my helmet.

Race 1
I would start in second position, with the #24 Nissan of @Mikey24 starting in pole position. I semi-dived into the first corner to take the lead. Mikey and I would continue to battle for the lead in the first half. He would almost always catch up to me on the Veedol chicane, but I could get more speed on the straightaways. Mikey entered the pits on lap 7 and I did the same on lap 8. When I left the pits I could immediately see Mikey just where he was before he went into the pits- right in my rear view mirror. On lap 9, raindrops collected on my windshield as I was racing through the Valvoline-Kurve into the Ford-Kurve. I could pull away from Mikey slightly, but he stayed on my tail until the very end. I made the final lap my best and took the win.

Race 2
This time I was starting in first and Mikey in 2nd.The teal-colored #16 Nissan of @Pubs16 blew by both of us at the start, as did my teammate @NW48. I stuck to it and kept second, reclaiming first on the Dunlop-Kehre. My brakes locked up going into the Veedol chicane, and I went off track. Luckily, I managed to stop my car from hitting the wall, and managed to get back on the track unscathed, but I lost four positions as a result. I was in 5th and created a gap in the Group B grid. I'd have to race even harder than I was before to catch up. I started getting lap times in the 1:57 range. I soon found myself back in 2nd, if only because Pubs and NW messed up in sector 3 on lap 3. By the halfway mark, Mikey and I were at it again. After our pit pit stops, I was way ahead of Mikey, and the race stayed that way until I took the checkered flag and claimed another victory.

My championship hopes are reignited once again. Next stop, Silverstone. I'l be spending a lot of time here, not just for the next round of the ATCC, but for the GTPES 12h of Silverstone, as well as testing for GTOR's new WEC series. I'll have a lot of data to work with to create a winning setup for my Chevrolet. This will definetely be a busy week!

Very special round coming up this weekend. Grass-roots returns in a big way, 90min race, Russian Roulette Racing's home race, special Ayrton Senna Tribute & this is the track where a majority of our BoP testing was done so the cars will be at the closest ever here. 0.009 of a second to be precise, and it's Britain, so expect rain! More details to come...

That's funny 'cause yesterday I was about to ask if the Grass Roots challenge was still running

It was suppose to return last night but I was too busy to organise it.

This one will be good. I know the upcoming round clashes with the GTP ES, but we are a round behind so we need to race this weekend for a potential break after Round 7 to recooperate and get back on it till the final round.

Ok, here is the full information on what's happening this Saturday starting from 20:30 GMT+10.
- 20:30 GMT+10 ~ Grass-Roots Challenge at Silverstone Stowe (125 Shifters (KZ2)
- 20:50 GMT+10 ~ Ayrton Senna Tribute ~ DAP Racing Kart '80 at Silverstone Stowe

The Support Races are not mandatory but you are encouraged to take part in them for some fun.

Please tell me now of you aren't able to attend. It's better for me to know now than on the day of the race.

We are also, after months of fiddling and testing with the settings, finally debuting the 'Real-Time & Weather System' that I used in an old series of mine. Basically, we take the forecast for the track we are using in real life and implement the information in that forecast to the settings in the game to replicate the exact weather, along with time, as you would experience if you were standing on the track whilst we race.

GTOR ANNOUNCEMENT

The GTOR has opened their own official Forum Website! This will be an extra port of call from the current GTPlanet threads.

We, the ATCC, will still use GTPlanet as our main way of contact. The GTOR Website threads' sole purpose is to open our series up to the wider community.

It's not mandatory to have an account for the board, but it is encouraged. Here is the link.

Let me again say it; GTPlanet is and will always be our main way of contact.

Nicely done on their on GTOR forum! :).

How's everybody going for practice? I'm sure those who are competing GT Acadmey are well suited for Silverstone right now lol. Especially the GTR drivers who will be very please to have a car that has front wheels that turn! ;).

I'll be qualifying later on tonight but have just laid a mid 2:01 in some practice laps as UNC Motorsports has arrived at Silverstone.
Can't remember what the cars did in BoP testing so have no idea how good that is.

This very minute (22:17 GMT+10) 21 years ago, Ayrton Senna went off at Tamburello corner and hit the concrete wall on the outside of the track. As a result of a piece of Suspension machinery hitting his helmet, he lost his life.

There goes my hero, watch him as he goes

Absolutely great editing in the last sequence, no music, just the engine. And then the aftermath...
Did you see the long version ? Although there's lot of journalists crap interviews (at least half is irrelevant IMO) there are some interesting and most of all, the full interviews from Prost who gets a lot deeper in his comments.

These are also included in the DVD's bonuses if you can't find it elsewhere.

So, @David Talle, being the only Frenchman in our series, who was your favourite, Senna or Prost?

Senna, but I have a huge respect for Prost, he still holds very high numbers in the records. ;)
BTW I was barely born at the time
