August VIP Rival time??

You don't have to beat anyone for the VIP event, just compete and post a time. The car everyone is using is the Dart, loads of set ups on the storefront for the event as well.
This months community bounty event is the one you're thinking of. The event is high noon saloon in this months rivals, the guy you need to beat is Japandru who is one of the devs who works for T10 and his time to beat (last time i checked) is 1:22.032
From what i've heard though i'd expect him to improve on that.

What car would be reccomended and what would a good set up be? As it is, I'm 2 seconds short. Is the F10 M5 the right car to be using?

MERCEDES 190 is the car of choice.

The closest car I've got to competing with the 190 is... the Fusion. Currently just under a second away from the time, with more to shave off. It's surprisingly tail-happy when converted to rear-drive, possibly more of a handful than the Merc.

Before getting frustrated and just switching over the the 190, I used the TSX. I got a 1:22:2. I was stumped on what I needed to change though to get that extra .200 down. In want of the unicorn I just jumped on the storefront and downloaded the most downloaded tune for the high noon saloon challange and ended up dropping down to 1.20.5 with someones 190 tune in just 2 laps tops. If I kept at it I think I might be able to reach 1:19.

You can go to friends storefronts by pressing Y from your storefront. You can also add player's storefronts to your favorites by pressing Y when you're at their storefront....once someone is in your favorites list you can also access their storefront by pressing Y from your storefront. I'm pretty sure auctions work the same way. Hope this helps.

I dont know about that. You were smoking me pretty bad lol. Also your tunes have alot to do with you as a driver, so I wouldnt just throw that out
I know you've just started playing again after not having played for a couple of months. Beating you right now doesn't boost my confidence.....I know I'll have my hands full with you once you shake the rust off.

I know you've just started playing again after not having played for a couple of months. Beating you right now doesn't boost my confidence.....I know I'll have my hands full with you once you shake the rust off.
To be honest, I thought I was going to do absolutely horrible when I was going to race you. It actually didnt feel like it was that dramatic to be honest. Pretty much the only problem when I came back was the manual shifting, everything else was sorta loosey goosey but it wasnt to bad. So that being said, I dont think I'll be that much faster than I was the other day.
I am getting a lot better at tuning though, so hopefully that'll help out

Hey guys. Some tunes really make it easier for us new to Forza.
1:21.688 with the 190E, how do i know if the target time changes and i need to give it another go?

OK guys you have 1 day left to beat japandru's final time of 1:20.259. He extended the deadline by 1 day. I have a tune on my storefront that netted me a 1:20.168 in 3 laps.....and I left time on the track. I'm the only FPM member right now ahead of the target time.
