Well done Ripping - you got some good footage......it solved one issue i had i race 5 with the DE guy in the Audi - i thought i had pushed him and then he pushed you into the sand but i could see that i was just behind the action(i did take him out about two corners later) cheers mate

I have not got the skills yet to drive without the race/brake line marker - looks better in the video without it.

thanks. yeah I knew it was a wrong move straight away, trying to go round the outside of an unknown in the esses, and I paid for it.
I spent a lot of my time in the sand on Monday, but at least then I could get some shots from the ghost car.

Extremely late with the tables... sorry lads :embarrassed:

Had a couple of good fun races with TIZZ tonight.
I got my 111R/Tuned Bumblee's setup alot better, it's actually confidence inspiring...which is really something when it comes to the 111R's lol.:D:tup:
Suzuka anyday for me now.

yea that was good fun 👍

And thank goodness at least one of you wasn't playing NFS SHIFT

What times were you guys racing? On schedule it was only Myself, Stonemonkey and Devie who had a few races.

My results

1st Race: DNS
2nd Race: 2nd
3rd Race: 2nd
4th Race: 1st
5th Race: 1st

Not really much to report on because, aside from the 2nd race i Joined in, it was only me vs Stonemonkey, who was on form and only lost to me due to a a couple of errors. Aside from those, he would have had me beat in the last two races as well lapping much more consistently and at a faster rate than I was last night. Was good fun though.

Also, the Notice board in GT5P tells us they are re-doing the events on Sept 24th. So we'll have a new lineup of events for next week MNR.

Tizz and myself were not racing any particular times, raced a few times at Daytona Road and 1 race at Suzuka, both he and myself didn't have the car's for the posted MNR events. With next weeks schedule I hope we get alot more driver's on track.
May I suggest an 'open event' where there is no rules on what car and PP, just as fast as you can go...I really enjoy chasing the fastest lap possible for each event.
Take it easy guys,;)👍

Schedule link below. Have been running on similar times for the past couple of months (from 10pm NZ time for MNR), but will have a new schedule up in the few days following the event revision on 24th Sept. But fair enough if you didn't have the cars, would have still liked to have seen some Aus/NZ fill up the grids even if you weren't driving the correct cars, always good fun to be had with decent drivers on the track.

Thanks for all who took part and contributed to the fun - you're a great bunch of blokes to race with. I think, in actual fact, that the standard of racing & the spirit/etiquette got back to a high point... just a shame that interest in the game is on the slide. That being the case, I will still be posting a set of car/track combos following the event update, but I think that, for now, we will forget about issuing any points - they are a little redundant atm. I'll still be on-track... hope to catch some o' you blokes there too :)

*sigh*...

...with (imho) these hugely unispiring events

PP550 @ FWD Suzuka East
PP550 @ RWD HSR
PP600 @ AWD Eiger North
PP700 @ Fuji F (World Event)
F2007 @ Suzuka Circuit

Suzuka East... mickey-mouse track!
HSR... ruined by the outrageous tow-effect!
Eiger North... no place to race! it's like part of a rally stage!
Fuji... also tainted by the outrageous tow-effect!
F2007... I have no interest in peddling this in a GT game!

...continued disconnection woes :ill:

...and a GT5 release date of March 2010 👎

...if fear I'm losing just a little enthusiasm atm :indiff:

---

Not sure I can come up with a program... PP550 @ RWD HSR and PP700 @ Fuji F (World Event) are the only (barely) tenable events, imo... by I'll look at it. Any suggestions welcome :)

pretty lame i agree,

however 550pp FWD Suzuka is actually very fun, in the suzuki swift sport 👍

HSR is hopeless for online racing IMO

I vote Suzuka 550 and Fuji 700 :D

Dude crazyhorse you need to cheer up mate, I do agree the slipstream effect is way to effective than it should be. But that doesn't destroy everything, Fuji 700PP is a great event that I haven't seen in a while...S2000 anyone.:D:tup:

Eiger might be a narrow track that is hard to pass on, but if your good enough just apply the pressure and wait for the opposition to make a mistake. I really enjoy the Eiger events; there more intense than most events.:D:tup:
Hope to catch you online sometime mate,
Rusty*

PS. Yes I agree a March 2010 release is pretty dodgy, but I don't think it is the fault of PD or K.Y; but more the doing of Sony.

*double sigh*
time and interest in the game were wearing thin anyway.......but did it have to end this way!

Awesome job keeping it together Chris - thankyou:tup:...had some fantastic moments(*can't think of anything in the last few years that has given me a bigger buzz) & raced against awhole lot of top blokes...cheers:)

Will try to be on the grid to slow you guy's down abit - aye!

PS: Fuji 700: Eiger 600: Suzuka550: - same make cars...@Tizz - man I hope your connection is as good as it use to be !!

haha nah its not, its slower and its wireless.

It's still making me host races though so maybe its still better than everyone elses

Not sure if ill be there tomorrow i have a huge assignment to do

Sorry lads, but I'm gonna take a break from organising SAR/MNR for this month. Will get back into it with the next event update. Cheers :)

Fully understand Crazyhorse....I can't fill the man size boots you have left behind but will put something on the board to fill the gap:tup:

Will look forward to your return Chris.

A break of a month might be a good thing given the let down of the GT5 release date.

But that said I'll be happy to participate in whatever you come up with Wayne.

Rob

ps Geelong won and the Storm are going to win, what else could one want?

Just realised that NZ has justed started with our daylight saving regimen:ouch: ...which means that our usual start time would end up at 11pm and finish sometime around 1.30am:scared:...not sure my boss would understand!

Can some of you on the other side give some detail when AU catches up?

So, gonna keep it loose....

Race1 - Fuji 700pp 10laps - Ferrari 599 @ 10.00pm(NZ) 7.00pm(AU)?! - will deal with the punters AU/NZ style.

Race2 - Suzuka 550pp 5laps - Suzuki Swift @ 10.40pm (NZ) 7.40pm(AU)

Race3 - Eiger 600pp 10laps - anything you can make go fast! @ 11.00pm(NZ)8.00pm(AU)

Race4 - Fuji 700pp 10laps - anything you can make go fast! @ 11.20pm(NZ)8.20pm(AU)

Race5 - either race 2 or 3 repeated which ever was the most fun. @ 12am(NZ)9.00pm(AU)

I don't there will be much of a crowd seeing how the wind got knocked out of our sails with the later release date of GT5(*so wanted that for Christmas!)

Good on ya Wayne, I'll be there tonight for MNR. 👍

About the time... QLD is not on dayling saving so I'm 3 hours behind you, but I think NSW and Vic are 1 hour ahead of me, so 2 hours behind you. So the AUS times you have up there at the moment are correct for QLD but NSW and Vic guys are only 2 hours behind. 👍 Not entirely sure about the other states though :scared:

Is this still going on?

I put my g25 away awhile ago :(

too much hassle to put it back on my playseat etc grrrr

didnt even know this was going on haha

It still happens every Monday, although some of the usual guys have taken a break but there are still a few of us racing

Daylight saving in Vic and NSW comes in Sunday 4 Oct, then we shift clocks forward 1 hour in a vain attempt to catch NZ.

So your times are right for tonight Wayne.

Don't want to get ahead of you here, but I was an hour behind, before I slowed and caught up to myself. AND I lived in Qld when they tried out daylight saving. Not a good idea, faded the new curtains we put up, and the cows, buggered if they could get the idea. The sheep didn't care, and the tides didn't change at all. Nope, might work in other places, but it was a disaster there.

Might make the first race tonight, & maybe the others next week.
