Damn that's unlucky @TDZdave sorry i didn't turn up. I've been sick for the the last few days. I tried playing earlier but didn't last long hopefully ill be better soon I really hate having a cold in the winter.

that's cool mate,

REMINDER!

due to the bugs at Bathurst the next round will be at the Red Bull Ring not Mount Panorama as the OP states,

Well i got disconnected again, I seriously dont know what is going on but i never had problems until i did a race at bathurst and now its nothing but connection problems all the time... That being said in a way im glad the game disconnected me coz after the gt500 race and tonight ive decided its the worst track for me to race on given the way my steering wheel and pedals are set up right now....

well this is embarrassing.............. had a senior nap and missed out. I was looking forward to this one too. hope all went well

I was nearly going to do the same thing before the race started, otherwise I would've been in the same situation as you!

Well it was an interesting race, and not one of my best unfortunately. Love the track but it didn't love my back this time. Combination of taking it too easy when I had a handy lead, then got my strategy wrong, then while making up time on the final stint made a rookie mistake and it cost me big-time. Never mind a podium is still a good outcome considering. Bring on Red Bull Ring!

Its about time a Roo-rooter won a race, imagine the outrage if us kiwis won another round!!

I can reveal the strategy that won the race for Greasy last night! :P

Good luck guys I've been finding myself more entertained on the latest grid for the past few weeks I haven't touched gt6 for a few weeks lol. Should probably get some practice in for the red bull ring.

yeah dude, its a good circuit too

Ah crap I forgot about this... Too much going on at work. So next round is the 23rd? I'll put it into my phone.

Do we have any reference times for the ring?? Also what are the track limits regarding what I call turn 8 (second to last turn) Its very easy to run wide there and its right on pit entry..

Cool! Didn't think I'll get put in this early, thanks for the heads up! Can't wait to race with you all!

Firstly mate, I will need you to go to speedtest.net and conduct a speed test and PM me the results please, this is to ensure your connection is stable enough,

I haven't been able to test properly due to the LM24 practice and race, from just general fooling about I don't believe there is any time to be gained by running wide due to the nature of the final turn and how that needs to be attacked,

I had a quick dash at it last night flash, ran a 1:28.xxx off top of head. Havent refreshed chassis/oil since last race so prob expect 1:26 - 1:27 to be norm.

I dont think running wide gives any advantage at this track with the slippery run off areas. Pit entry is a pain, blind crest and you really have to slow down to hit it or the GT ai will just roll you down the pit lane without stopping.

Yes there is a "commitment cone" there on pit entry, I will have a small paragraph about it in the drivers brief which will be posted in the next 24 hours,
