I was going to extend qualifying to 15 minutes and do the start at the last corner, like le mans, but release a driver every 30 seconds to give space between cars, but that would only allow each car to get 1 lap,


it's needs to be more like 20mins Dave 2laps 30sec space between cars or 18mins an race alone from the last corner

Title says spots are still open? I'll race tonight if you guys are ok with it. On specs I like the look of the RX8 LM, though I am yet to drive it... Its an RX Mazda, it can't handle bad ;)

Dude we aren't going to Bathurst next, its been replaced by the Red Bull Ring... Why you not so fond of the ring? Its a wonderful track once you get to know it.

I always crash on it and its to long I like watching others race around it. In gt5 I tried the Mercedes challenge at the ring and could never do it also I tried the gtr official record but always spin out on the high speed corner.

any practice going on this afternoon? its boring practicing alone ;)

My Internet allowance reset today so I'll be keen to do some practice online tonight.

Did some free run practice last night, the only thing saving me from throwing the tv, ps3 and steering wheel through the window in a rage quit was the fact that I'd have to then fix the window... After 2 and a half hours of practice, I managed to complete 2 laps. Did a 8:11 after running off half way through and a 8:07 (8:06.8) when I hit the wall on the 2nd to last corner...
 
Are physics between free run & online the same? I thought they where a bit different.. As i want to start using the data logger but if its not going to be relevant to how the car handles online ill have to think of something else.

It's close but it's not exactly the same as there is no tyre wear or fuel burn, which in turn makes lap times a bit faster than what they would normally be.

I went online last night and I was braking at the same points and achieving the same mid corner speeds around most corners as I did in free run. it just then got a bit harder to handle as the tyres wore out a bit at the end of a lap.

Race Report
So here we are today at Haga Tochigi in Japan at the Twin Ring Motegi Road Course an After a tough qualifying with Lion taking pole from Dave an Flash sitting in 3rd as the drivers got away with Lion getting a brilliant start followed closely by Dave Greasy's start wasn't the best being jump by It'z an Enforcer putting him down to 6th

Until Enforcer went wide at turn 3 giving the position back to Greasy as Sam came out of turn 4 running a bit wide himself resulting in him turning he's GTR around as Flash takes 2nd from Dave into turn 5 an now free to give chase to Lion who was running away with it for now

With It'z making an move on Dave at turn 4 bumping him off the track an allowing Greasy to get by Dave as Greasy came up the back of the chrome AMG It'z ran wide coming out of turn 4 a lap later causing Greasy to take invasive action to void making contact with him an allowing Dave to take advantage of the situation moving him back up to 4th

As Dave was trying all he can to get by It'z even drag racing him down the back straight in the dirt with Greasy hot on their tail as Nos slowly make he's way back up behind the three as Greasy decided his had enough of the two AMG's making he's move on Dave so he could take the challenge to It'z

As Flash make he's way up to the back of Lion an Greasy decided not to get to close to It'z as his lag was getting worse even at times looking like It'z was running off track or what the guys behind would call (LAG TEASING) with a slight of lag torment

With Moto having his own battle with Enforcer back in the pack exchanging position back and forth with Enforcer's GTR getting the best of the two as Moto runs wide

Sadly this was the last we saw of Sam an he's GTR as the gremlins of PD took the wrong Kiwi as the other Kiwi's in the race was fighting it out for 1st Lion pushing it a bit to much coming off the track at Victory Corner giving the lead to Flash

On lap 8 Enforcer spun it coming out of turn 4 as he was trying to get back on the track making contact with Moto an resulting in both drivers taking damage an needing to pit for repairs

With Lion trying to recover from earlier off he spun it around again coming out of turn 5 letting It'z and Greasy to get by him as It'z lag was settling down Greasy deciding to take the fight back to it'z as they build a gap to Dave an Lion

As Dave comes out of the last corner with Lion hot on his tail Dave putting a rear wheel on to the grass losing it an letting Lion to get by him putting him down to 5th now and struggling as a couple of laps later he losing it again coming out of S Curves letting Nos to get by him but which wouldn't be his last time dealing with notorious S Curves in a way he would not be please with himself

As Dave caught backup to Nos an getting back by him into turn 1 Greasy lost it coming out of turn 4 letting It'z to get away from him an releasing the pressure Greasy was putting on him for second place

After Lion an It'z had they pit stop Lion pitting a couple of laps earlier Lion was able to take the fight It'z for 2nd place eventually getting by him into turn 3 as Greasy was doing the same to Dave until Dave once again losing it at the S curves for the second time during the race just missing Greasy as he went around

As Moto in to pits for his second round of pit stops Lion was not far behind him but a lap up as It'z continue on in 2nd place as Lion come out of pits behind Dave now chase him down Dave use a bit more of the track as u should several times

Until Dave ran wide down the back straight letting Lion to get by him an moving him up 3rd now an just waiting for It'z to pit to see if he could take 2nd from him but It'z was running longer trying to do less pit stops as the drivers he was racing

As It'z comes out of pits in front of Greasy he couldn't stop Greasy from climbing all over the back of him suddenly as Greasy was pressuring It'z him just disappear from Greasy screen like Houdini thanks to the magical BS of Polyphony Digital or what we like to call (Polyphony Typical Crap) sadly this is the last thing I can report about It'z race as it also effects the replay as well thanks again PTC sorry I meant PD should be more like PMS

But the show must go on so Greasy now setting his eyes on Dave he caught up to him as Dave tires were going off at a rapid rate an looking like he needed to pit again with only 15mins to run as Lion for the third time today losing control of he's AMG an what I hear allowing It'z to catch up to him

All of a sudden Dave lost control of he's AMG for third time at the S Curve but this time resulting in Greasy going straight in the side of him with no where to go forcing Greasy into a unnecessary pit stop to fix the damage he took from the incident as Dave needed to do the same as Greasy was struggling with he's damage BMW Dave got by him beating him to pits with less damage an giving him a 11sec advantage over Greasy as they return back to the track as the incident would be review after the race by the racing stewards resulting in a penalty giving to Dave for causing a incident resulting in a driver being disadvantage

Unfortunately I can not make the next race meeting,as I need to pre drill new anchor points on my rig for my new wheel and pedals, and will not have enough time to do this before the next race.

ok gents, that time of week again, I have opened the lobby now for anyone who wants to do some practice, the lobby will be open right through to the race start
