hopefully the big end o May update won't preclude my participation again. I'm putting new string on my coconuts 💡

Everyone looked to be lined up well in that start! at least compared to monza.

Did some test laps around Ascari and did a 1:57.309, however it took me 20minutes to build up to that lap time without spinning across the track while pushing way too hard, so im sure my qualifying time will be something like a 1:58 and with a bit of luck i might pluck a 1:57 out from somewhere during the race! :)

That sounds really on pace. Ascari is a hard track, keeps on assaulting you with corners. Lots of concentration. Keep practicing, going to need it for an hour round here

Yeah it is very hard, you dont really get a chance to rest which will take its toll in a 80 minute race! Might need to hit the gym and build some fitness up! :P

I don't think I'd even be anywhere near under 2 minutes if I was on my own with set ups...

I think consistency will be the key to winning the race.if you can put solid lap times in lap after lap without any incident you will be on the podium. Qualifying well may also be a deciding factor as it will be hard to make a clean pass around here unless you are significantly quicker than the car in front.

Hey guy's, just being nosy and noticed you are going to Ascari next :D

What a race we had there, this was the main battle in our PRO class drivers :D

Enjoy.

ALL ROUND UPDATES!
First of all guys, a big thank you to all of those that stuck it out to complete round 2 Silverstone after the update, was very good racing by all and a good win to Lion-face, I'm still yet to finalize results and tally points but that will be updated in post number 2 under the OP in the coming days,

RACE NIGHT UPDATES
The updates regarding race nights are as follows,

+) Rolling starts will remain, But only one pace lap, unless otherwise specified in the drivers briefing,

+) Race time will now be set to 90 minutes using the endurance racing function, So all lap counts in the OP will now be redundant,

ROUND 3
Ascari Race Resort
DRIVERS BRIEFING

Now with the update sorted and everyone has a feel for the new tire model we push through to round 3,

+) IF THE UPDATE DUE ON THE DATE OF THIS ROUND HAS SOME BEARING ON THE TIME SLOT OF THE EVENT, THE EVENT WILL BE HELD IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE UPDATE, AS WE DID WITH SILVERSTONE,

CIRCUIT, Ascari race resort
QUALIFYING, 10 Minutes
RACE, 90 Minutes
WEATHER, Fixed dry
CIRCUIT TIME, 1750 X 1,

CHANGE TO RACE START,
For Ascari only, we will not be completing a full pace lap for starting, For Ascari we will form up entering the Senna S, hold formation until the field exits, once the field is almost entirely on the straight it will be up to the pole winner to jump, when they jump the race is go,

TRACK LIMITS,
I consider all forms of paved concrete on this circuit to be part of track limits, only when 4 wheels are off the track are you in breach of them,

Thanks @P1K3Y_M1k3Y for not looking at GTP while I casually borrowed the map from the FGTA, WGTC OP,

Can we run across the concrete curbs at the two chicanes? or do we respect the white track lines and only run 2 wheels onto them?

I only ask because based on real world videos on youtube, there are times the chicanes are respected, and in others the chicanes are cut. Just thought it would be best to clarify for everyone.

I consider the kerbs here as track, that includes all chicanes and one of the corner exits, corner cutting will be determined as all 4 wheels in grass,

The lap record at the end of the race. Just to prove it was legit :D

I know m8 I got the full replay
this lap 35 that you done a 154.195 that's legit 👍
not lap 36 which was a time of 154.124 that's not legit 👎
but as we can see you put lap 35 on the replay as legit :D
but as u see on the race report I did I didn't say everything about doing on a empty tank with fresh rubber :sly:

guys i am terribly sorry that i haven't gotten around to updating the points and things, I will try to get this sorted Monday night for your perusal Tuesday,

Also, In the event of the update due Wednesday impeding our start time, does anyone have an issue with us postponing the race until after the update?

we gotta head out of town today, but I hope to be back in time. Got some laps in last night and managed a 1.58:2xx. Looking forward to the race.
Also, no prob if you need to reschedule dave

dont miss it! Your in for a chance of a podium!

NSW won't win I can already sense qld holding the trophy again. God damn it my lap pace is on 1.58.8 I'm still not with race pace I might have a chance if I be very cautious at every corner I reckon we will have a few crashes :P.

1:58.8 isn't too far off the pace, string those together cleanly and you'll be right. Hopefully there wont be anymore crashes, its a tight track with only a couple of passing spots. Respect will go a long way me thinks.

God, those photos are amazing! I'd love to know the secret. My photos look like 8 bit compared to those...

Dave, my internet has been shaped to 256kbps and won't kick back in til 1 June... The joys of living with other people, I still have no idea where 200gb went.

Anyway, I'm out for this round I'm afraid.

Nah dude, My monthly quota has been used (dunno how but I suspect housemates going on a download bender) so my net is now slower than a sloth race :(

STEWARDING REPORT
ROUND 2, SILVERSTONE
First time for this, Thankfully only the two incidents to report for penalties, within 2 corners, and the offender is...... GREASY07, 1 X 30 Second penalty,

Incident one, GREASY07/ TheFlash05, Causing a collision, +30 seconds
Whist chasing Lion-Face on lap 7 you spun exiting turn 4, thus leaving your car whaling in the middle of the road, This wasn't the issue, The issue was that when you moved off you moved onto the racing line impeding the natural line for the TheFlash05 and causing the incident,

Incident two, GREASY07/ TDZdave, Dangerous rejoin, Warning,
After the incident with TheFlash05 you attempted to get going around to the pits but then spun on turn 5 due to the damage, you then rejoined the circuit onto the natural racing line on the exit of turn 5, thus impeding the racing line of TDZdave, no collision was caused due to this, No harm no foul,

RESULTS OF SILVERSTONE

1ST, Lion-Face
2ND, TheFlash05
3RD, GREASY07
4TH, ItzRacing
5TH, TDZdave
6TH, Motocross-09

GREASY07 finishing result does include the 30 second penalty,
