almighty HP may have burned his own internet with Game of thrones?
Nah not GoT, I'm getting a day by day breakdown of usage from Telstra, going to get to the bottom of it.

what time are we racing ?

good question, lobby opens at 7:30PM acst which is 8PM aest, qualification to happen 20 minutes later, hopefully the patch is sorted by then, if not it will happen the moment all drivers are able to participate after the patch,

Looking forward to racing at Ascari one of my favourite tracks guess we will wait and see what happens hopefully i can push and at least stay with the pack this time or if not try not to crash out :P.

@TDZdave hope everything is ok & you have only fallen asleep. I've called it a night, so let us know when you can about re-scheduling this race as I think we would all still like to complete it. Thanks

terribly sorry guys, had a family emergency to attend to, I will reschedule the entire series bi-weekly from next week,

Everything is fine guys, just an unfortunate set of circumstances in a workplace, all is good everyone is fine, the clean up took longer then the doctors, strange I know hahahahaha

Here is the new updated calendar,

and some new spec's that will be active from round 4 onwards, if you are happy with the car you have that is fine, just ensure your car is at these spec's from round 4 onwards, if you fancy something else from this car list and wish to use it in round 3 and forwards for the remainder of the season that's fine too, just be sure to use this spec,

Damn, round 10 was scheduled for the week between when I get back from America and go to the Gold Coast. Now I'm going to miss round 7-10. Look like I need to pull my finger out and build some extra points before I leave!

Could we do two races over two weeks then follow the same original schedule or nah?

Either way I still miss 7-9 so it's no big deal, that will obviously take me out of being anywhere in the series, so I'm not fussed what happens :)

we can try make it weekly if that suits all?

and only skip weeks if an update impeded the timeslot?

If I may ask, why have the extra cars been added & all the regs changed? Are these to line up with another series CORE is running or some other reason?

I can confirm that these specs are nothing to do with CORE and we cannot guarantee the BOP to be fair and consistent anymore.

no, the new spec's have nothing to do with CORE,

The new cars we have are there to add depth to the field, get a bit more variety on the grid and hopefully entice some more sign up's,
The new spec's for the cars have been worked on since update 1.09, which fixed the tire bug prior to our race at Silverstone, where some cars suffered with terrible tire wear, mainly the Audi R8 LMS Ultra, after that I decided to check the tire wear on the GTR and M3 GT2, which were just as bad if not worse in some cases in the updated tire model,
The spec's we were using are the same ones used in the N24, which were established early December prior to the tire glitch discovery and conformation, I went back through numerous replays of races at N24 and Bathurst respectively and noted that the GTR and M3 also suffered from chronic tire wear in the hands of other drivers of all skill and tuning levels back then, But the post pitstop tire model brought the tire wear back in their favor,
With that in mind plus numerous updates, some regarding handling, suspension, tires etc, I decided to check that all the cars equality was still in order, which in the short they are, but as the tires died obviously the lap times go with them, GTR, M3, Audi Ultra and Audi ORECA, were the main sufferers,

Now the new spec's have been done with full additional tuning options, to what I believe to be the optimum combinations regarding turbo's, etc,
speed testing using Route X as that is the only track which has a pit lane that spits you out at 80KPH and reference points to mark out speeds of acceleration, 257-259KPH was the 1000M marker and 289KPH - 292KPH for 2000M
Cars were set to these values,
Aero 340/ 525
Ride height 70/75
Gearbox quick tuned to 310KPH
power and weight figures were adjusted accordingly,

I then took them to Motegi East course which is a circuit I know rather well and ensured that they all could meet specific delta times and speeds at my capabilities,
cars were set up generically as,
Aero 350/ 550
Ride height 65/ 75
gearbox quick tuned to 270KPH

The key searches were,
Cornering speed,
straight line speed,
acceleration speed,
lap time,
and last of all tire life,
I continually adjusted the ballast weights accordingly,

I then took them back to route X with the same settings as used in Motegi with the gearbox reset to 310KPH to ensure straight line speed equality,

I then went to Bathurst and tuned them to the best of my abilities individually and got them to meet all the specific delta's, and then rechecked them at Route X

The cars now are as close as I can get them to my abilities, I am satisfied that they are even, and even though I went full circle on the spec's and came back to what they almost were, that 10KG difference brings them slightly back to the cars that suffer, meaning that instead of up to 7 minutes between all the cars having to pit it should be down to 3:30 to 4 minutes, at most places we go to race that's around 3 laps, and all cars should have to pit twice during our race distances,

I'm not so sure of the introduction of new regs into the season. I don't think there can be a good amount of time put into each of the new cars to test properly for parity. I don't think the car selection is the problem for attracting newer drivers. It's more the setup of long races, time they are held etc, alot of GT6 players don't want to race this sort of distance. It's hard work and disheartening for a lot of players when they spend 90minutes being off pace. And that's ok. I would rather have 5 or 6 committed good drivers for an endurance than a full field of one offs.

I'll be racing either way, just thought I would put my point of view across.

90 min of off pace chasing:D here, if its ok I'd like to change to the Ford Gt,(its more comfy to drive, I can guarantee it won't make me any faster) if its an issue then I have no problem continuing with the Beemer, no worries

of course you can soks,

lobby will be up in about an hour guys,

I may or may not be late depending on dinner. But should be a cracker of a race never look away from your tv screen or you might find yourself off the track.

ALL ROUND UPDATES!
First of all guys, a big thank you to all of those that stuck it out to complete round 2 Silverstone after the update, was very good racing by all and a good win to Lion-face, I'm still yet to finalize results and tally points but that will be updated in post number 2 under the OP in the coming days,

RACE NIGHT UPDATES
The updates regarding race nights are as follows,

+) Rolling starts will remain, But only one pace lap, unless otherwise specified in the drivers briefing,

+) Race time will now be set to 90 minutes using the endurance racing function, So all lap counts in the OP will now be redundant,

ROUND 3
Ascari Race Resort
DRIVERS BRIEFING

Now with the update sorted and everyone has a feel for the new tire model we push through to round 3,

+) IF THE UPDATE DUE ON THE DATE OF THIS ROUND HAS SOME BEARING ON THE TIME SLOT OF THE EVENT, THE EVENT WILL BE HELD IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE UPDATE, AS WE DID WITH SILVERSTONE,

CIRCUIT, Ascari race resort
QUALIFYING, 10 Minutes
RACE, 90 Minutes
WEATHER, Fixed dry
CIRCUIT TIME, 1750 X 1,

CHANGE TO RACE START,
For Ascari only, we will not be completing a full pace lap for starting, For Ascari we will form up entering the Senna S, hold formation until the field exits, once the field is almost entirely on the straight it will be up to the pole winner to jump, when they jump the race is go,

TRACK LIMITS,
I consider all forms of paved concrete on this circuit to be part of track limits, only when 4 wheels are off the track are you in breach of them,

Thanks @P1K3Y_M1k3Y for not looking at GTP while I casually borrowed the map from the FGTA, WGTC OP,

just double check this guys, lobby opening in around 15 minutes

Also on the addition of the cars, i would've been interested to see whether the addition of other road going cars that are racing in the gt3 class could've been possible. You could've had the MP4-12C, Gallardo and Ferrari 458 in that and maybe the new Viper and Corvette for good measure too. Maybe even throw an RUF RGT in for a bit of porsche flavour :P

Hi all im real sorry about that my internet has dropped out i'll try and get it fixed for the next round at Leman on the 18th sorry again everyone I hope I haven't ruined everyone else's race
