Just want to ask the question before it all goes pear shaped. How exactly will the rolling start be organised with turning around and going back to the final chicane? Coz what I can possibly see is the lights going green and 5 people deciding to all try and turn around at once :P

If done properly it will be a very good idea :)

notice!

qualifying,
tonight qualifying will be extended to 15 minutes and yo compensate for time lost we will try get things happening 5 minutes earlier,

the start,
after some thought about going backwards around the circuit I have decided to scrap the idea and just do one full pace lap. The time spent getting all the drivers to do this safely would take around 3-5 minutes, given that a pace lap can be done safely in 6 minutes without confusion we will go with that,
the grid will form up between the Porsche curves and Ford chicane,
the leader will have between the start line and the end of the pit wall as the acceleration zone to ensure the back of the grid get through the final chicane before the race is green,

remember we are using the 2005 layout with chicanes,

hey TDZdave I forgot to mention to you that I wont be attending due to family reasons sorry about the last minute notice and hope that everyone has a great race im alittle bummed that I wont be able to make it due to being my favorite track of all time

Has anyone got any tunes I can use? I don't have time to do any. I prefer racing cars without tuning because of the time it takes.

Also I'll try make it on however I'm in NZ so there is a bit of a time difference and I can't be too loud with my girlfriend sleeping in our bedroom (I know whippppissh).

sorry to lose you mate, something was dodgy with the servers and connections as a whole, think it might be PD screwing around in there over a Datsun no one really wants,

apologies for the shambles that was the events of tonight gents, we shall try again in two weeks at motegi

Bugger, one big spin with 1.5 laps left with Greasy about 5 seconds behind me. That would have been a good last lap battle.

Thanks for the race guys and TD for the tune.

On the pace lap I saw a car to flying up in the air with me watching that I ran in the back of a car lol so I had issues that first lap but went on to finish the race.

I'm really sorry about the qualifying incident, I had damage and tried to get out if your way as you came through and pulled to the outside of the track to give you plenty of room to pass, then the thing just turned hard right across the track at the worst possible time and I tried to step on the gas to get on the grass on the inside of the track but didn't quite do it quick enough...

First laps where a bit of a joke really, the false start was a bad idea, I dear say that was a contributing factor to the start line damage for @nosoks which is a real shame. Michs lag & connection issues also caused to much carnage. Hence the second pace lap.

It would be a real shame to lose you soks, your a great character and good fun to be on the track with. Just some bad luck. Everyone just needs to take more care. We've seen damage at each track now just by not paying enough attention to those around us....

The race is over, **** happened but we move on. Well done Lion.. Ill get you next time.

I had no idea what was going on the first lap so I started weaving through people to get to the pits fast but since I had damage my wheel decided to start spinning and lost controll. But after the first lap the race was alright. Congrats to lion for the win.

There was clearly some form if connection problem that meant Mitch and Dave were unable to see each other. As a result Mitch has ended up on the wrong side of the line up which created confusion at the back and helped cause the massive pileup. The front cars had every right to keep at that speed and the rear cars were trying to judge the jump and avoid 2 cars that couldnt see each other, I think it was definitely a bad connection deal.

As I discussed with Dave after the race the Lap 2 incident was again down to the bad connections not allowing 2 drivers to see each and as a result Mitch unknowingly hit Dave into the back of me. It was a shame coz I thought I could've had a podium if my cards fell the right way but it just wasn't to be.

I made the switch to SLS mainly because I feel more confident surviving a whole race in that car without possibly ruining everyone else's race and with the exception of qualifying it was succesful

just to be clear guys...I'm not PO'd at anyone, just the situation. This is a great series,Dave has done a great job organizing and managing it. The racing is great, even tho' I'm far from the fastest guy. Didn't come to win, but for the cameraderie, racing and maybe learn something.
I've made good friends here and hope that continues.

As I told Greasy and Dave prior to the race last night I'm out of the series, have a 24hr race to prepare for and only a month to do it.

After the race I will re-evaluate for next season.
