Driver to Driver Pit Penalty

If a driver intentionally knocks another driver into the pits during green flag racing that offending driver will get last place points behind entire field plus disconnected drivers, and will start from the back of the pack for the next round as well. This penalty will be updated to the OLR rules and will apply at all tracks from here on out. Willfred's pick Rome circuit is up next and this can easily be done there too!

Ill take last place and the much needed weight loss , kept crashing and lost way too much time .

Well, since Motegi (Aug 17th) - 1 MONTH - I couldn't start/finish any race due to connection issues, so is not going to be different for Rome and next races. Therefore I have to say bye to this championship. I would like to join this again for GT6 (if PD did something with connection compatibility).

I started this series with a lot of enthusiasm but now I can't race with this problem. Thank you all for being there, I learnt a lot from this =)

Things I would change for next season:

-Max HP -> 520 - 530cv
-Rolling Start -> Yes, but please, be fair and control your throttle, don't be impatient
-NO TUNE (suspension, transmission, gearbox...)
-Do a mix of GT300 and GT500 on the grid

Anyways, I know how hard is to manage this and I'm glad about the work that all the stewards have done, specially Joe and Zach.

This is the problem of living in a spanish town.

LOL, and sorry if I have any spell mistake (another problem of living in Spain -.-)

this is why we can't see each other sometimes :/

If you have completed a race before, then I still believe there is someone connection that may not drop you. If you don't mind I would like to setup a day or night where you I, TnT, Sinlander and maybe even seth some since he is pst too can run a 200km practice race at Rome this Monday or Tuesday? I would like to try running it out of Tyson Lounge this time around if you guys are game. All & all it will be good practice!

Would only work with everyone Joe.

The way how GT5 does the lobbies is everybody has a connection to everybody else. Not the host. Only way to improve would be to go online lobby and fixed host. But then if the host has say a power cut, then the entire lobby dies and the race would prematurely end

Penalties

Joetruckv8 - 60s - pitted lap 14 for meds, pitted lap 23 for softs, thus being 1 lap too short of the minimum requirement

Freshseth - 20s- for lap 1 collision, 5s times 4 for positions lost

Freshseth - 20s - for lap 37 collision. Failure to yield.

Notes: skeng stayed in lobby so loses ballast. But gets same amount of pts as Ghaek. Both dnf.

Remember ballast applied before penalties

Also Joe completed all 52 laps, so he doesn't lose any positions with his penalty

Zach heres the math ive been running 9 lap stints since my 1st 8 lap incident.

14 laps + 9 laps = Lap 23 (8 fliers) lap 23 is when I pitted
14 laps + 8 laps = Lap 22 (7 Fliers)

If I get a penalty for this then my last 3 races are all penalties too!

Ive seen you pit with 8 to go which I know why too, its the only way to complete 8 flying laps without having to do the 9th lap for in lap out lap.

Was I really more than 60s off Joe?

I really struggled during the race so 6th is something I'm okay with anyway.

Anyways bad luck there Joe, you had good pace today and you shoulda seen a result. Wish I was faster so I could at least worry you and Yera abit.

I know I don't have a saying on this, but let me give you my interpretation of the tyre rule (which I've been following from my first race here):

A lap may only be consider a "flying lap" if the car's on track the whole lap (e.g. if the car hasn't entered or exitted the pits). Otherwise it's considered a in/out lap.

This means that if a driver starts on the harder compound, he may pit as soon as the end of lap 9 (8 flyers + in lap);
If a driver elects to finish the race on the harder compound he must pit as late as 9 laps before the finish (out lap + 8 flyers);
And if a driver pits for the harder compound on any other circumstance, he must use it for 10 laps (out lap + 8 flyers + in lap).

In case this interpretation is wrong, just say so, so I can adjust my future pit strategies accordingly...

EDIT: As for Joe's math, your mistake is you're considering lap 14, but since you pitted end of lap 14, you should consider lap 15 as the first of your RM stint, as that is your out lap. So given you pitted end of lap 23 (your in lap), that only leaves 7 flying laps in between...

For Joe- Pit lap 14

Lap 15 out lap

Lap 16 = lap 1
Lap 17 = lap 2
Lap 18 = lap 3
Lap 19= lap 4
Lap 20 = lap 5
Lap 21 = lap 6
Lap 22 = lap 7

Lap 23 = in lap.

You needed to pit lap 24 lol.

This means that if a driver starts on the harder compound, he may pit as soon as the end of lap 9 (8 flyers + in lap);
If a driver elects to finish the race on the harder compound he must pit as late as 9 laps before the finish (out lap + 8 flyers);
And if a driver pits for the harder compound on any other circumstance, he must use it for 10 laps (out lap + 8 flyers + in lap).

.

Correct.

Ive seen you pit with 8 to go which I know why too, its the only way to complete 8 flying laps without having to do the 9th lap for in lap out lap.

Yeah haha pitting mid race means you gotta do 1 extra lap :P

No but lapped runners finish the lap they on and that's the finishing position. Joe could have a 37281019348482 second penalty as still finish ahead lol
wow joe your a bad driver how did he rack that penalty up
series owners these days think they own the place

For Joe- Pit lap 14

Lap 15 out lap

Lap 16 = lap 1
Lap 17 = lap 2
Lap 18 = lap 3
Lap 19= lap 4
Lap 20 = lap 5
Lap 21 = lap 6
Lap 22 = lap 7

Lap 23 = in lap.

You needed to pit lap 24 lol.

Correct.

The confusion is right here. Every time I did 8 laps supposedly I was told to do 1 more lap. That what I was told when I did the 1st infraction. So I added 1 lap and that was still a infraction. Now I'm being told here to add 1 lap which is actually wrong for the middle stint. I need to be told add 2 laps for a middle stint not 1 more lap again even tho I know what he means this time! I might have the math technicalities wrong, but bad driver really will?! Bad driver! I finish ahead of you more races then I can count. And in 3 series running I've only been called up for a driver incident report only once, maybe twice, and I do make slight contact with other drivers. Bad driver no that's you on a lot giving days. How many times have you had an incident report filled on you mister? Yea that's a bad driver IMO. Anyways I'm re writing the rule so it explains it in more detail, and moving on from this point. Now I will be running 10 laps on meds mid pit, 9 laps starting on meds, and the all so lucky only 8 laps only if you finish on meds which Me & yera will still run down in the end! Btw I know I'm the owner of this series but I didn't write this tire rule clause. It was sent to me and I posted it. I will be back logging all the tapes just to make sure I'm the only 1 whom seems out of sorts with the technicalities here. I get the math now, I will update the op! :crazy:👍

Seth said lap 37 was not his fault and has video to prove it. He said Yeratel hit the wall in the previous turn then swerved in front of him, Seth even braked early. So hes protesting that penalty. He also said turn 1 happened because Sinladar lagged and hit his right side, so he couldn't make the turn even though he was turning and braking.

EDIT: it won't make a difference since you decided to penalize him for turn 1, but he believes it should just be a 10 second penalty since it was caused by lag. Link to video; http://youtube.com/#/watch?v=2R7RZBkQOi8
