I've heard V16s were a preorder thing but will also be DLC. I'm sure they're planning turbos for all, but I thought V12s didn't have them yet.

I could be mistaken, as I've mostly been working with I4s...

Turbo's were added for V12's in the last update I believe.

I've built a Megacar

Has a 6.5 Twin Turbo V12 producing 1600HP and weighs 2435KG. 0-60 in 3.3 Seconds and can get up to 283MPH. And it can lap the Nurburgring in 7:35. Costs $1,250,000

I spent a little time watching the dev stream yesterday.

They're really going all out with these factories. Rather than just placeholder warehouses for the factory tab, it looks like they're going for a full 3D factory complex in a realistically modeled piece of land. I chatted with the dev for a couple minutes and he mentioned having your produced cars outside the building, delivery trucks, lights that turn on and off depending on use, and probably some other details I'm forgetting. Plus, he's apparantly modeling not just one factory, but different styles of factory depending on era, in all the different sizes, not to mention the specialty add-ons like the forge, etc.

They've got their work cut out but I was very impressed by what I saw. Unreal Engine is indeed beautiful and they're not letting that potential go to waste, it seems.

Did anyone figure out a way to boost economy, I know a couple of tricks but my cars are still pathetically fuel thirsty. My car with a 2L I4 economy is only getting 15mpg, a 3.5L V6 in the same car making way more power gets 13.5mpg.

When tuning the engines it should say what affects the sliders have, for example a higher cam profile will give better high end performance and give a lower octane but a lower cam profile improves low end performance and economy.

What is the most powerful engine built so far?
Not sure, I have managed to build a Twin Turbo 6.5 V12 with 1600HP though. It could be possible to get over 2500 if you built a V12 at the maximum allowed size and if it was tuned right.

VXR
Somebody on the reddit link reckons lower-end machines will get a boost from using this engine.
It will most likely hinder lower end computers.

I have a moderately high end laptop and the game makes it run hot for whatever reason, not to mention it can get preeeeeeeeety slow when changing the simplest of settings on a car.

It might be that the game currently isn't well optimized. It is possible for the graphics and performance to get better if it's optimized better.

The stream is up if you're interested.

Haven't seen anyone mention watching it, but it could be an interesting source of discussion while we wait for actual updates.

Got gifted this game during the summer sale and I'm having a blast. I have admittedly relatively limited knowledge of the inner workings of cars, so it's actually somewhat educational as well (despite some parts of it being very unrealistic, or so I've heard).

That being said, there are still some parts of the game I don't understand. For example, why is my 600kg RR hatchback with a 200HP turbo I4 being automatically placed into the Hypercar market?

Because VTEC kicked in? :P

Likely that the markets are currently done by stats, 340kg lighter than a Miata with an extra 80 hp?

Actually, it's apparently just 105kg heavier than the Formula Ford with the same horsepower.

Probably wrong but whatever, as the teenage girl says.

They're going through and making better competitors to be used in calculating competitiveness in different categories. It should be more realistic in the next update.
